My little Maddie injured herself jumping off of something. After a week waiting for her to get better it seemed that wasn't happening. I called Longenbough Vet Monday am. & they got her in that afternoon. Everyone & everything went very well. The Dr. & staff were very thorough, gentle & kind. They listened to everything I had to say. Maddie was given a diagnosis which helped so much, to know what was the main cause of her pain & discomfort. I hesitate to write this review because I do not want Longenbaugh Veterinary Hospital to become busier than they already are, but I have to express my gratitude to Dr. Keadle and his great staff. They laser declawed my 2 cats, Cory and Miss Kitty, about 5 weeks ago, and they did an amazing job. I was at first hesitant and worried due to all the false negative press about declawing out there. However, I am so glad that we went through this surgery. My cats are as happy and as playful as before the surgery (they just don't scratch me and destroy my furniture anymore). They used to accidentally cause bloody gashes whenever they jumped off from sittng on my lap or climbed on my shoulder. My cats took about 3 weeks of post op healing to get back to 100%, but think about all the cosmetic and elective surgeries humans get that take longer to heal! Take the bad press about declawing with a grain of salt. It's not cruelty to animals, especially if you go to a good vet like Dr. Keadle. They got just the front paws laser declawed, and they still have their back claws so that they can scratch themselves. Such a great decision! Thank you Dr. Keadle and your great team! Tip 1: I would follow whatever instructions the vet gives you, but I let mine sleep with me in my bedroom rather than being in a bathroom. They are going to be stressed and on edge after staying at an unfamiliar hospital and being poked and prodded by vet techs. When my cats came home, they wanted the comfort of being near me, but in a quiet, safe corner where I put their bed and extra blankets for cushioning. They were hungry and gobbled up wet food as soon as they got home. Tip 2: My cats hated their E-collars and pulled them off as soon as they came home from the hospital (I have no idea how!). They never wore them after they got home, so it was a waste of money for me and they did just fine without them. However, I would follow the doctor's orders and get the collars. Or you can buy them online. Tip 3: My cats had a little spotting of blood and a little swelling (and hobbled a bit) for the first 4 or 5 days post op. This is normal so don't be worried like I was. Humans take time to heal from elective surgery also. They gave me the option to buy oral antibiotic meds but the cats do not like to take meds, and I don't like to administer them! So we ended up getting antibiotic shots (optional, depending on your cat's condition) that last 7 - 10 days, and I am so glad we did, because both cats healed wonderfully!! read more

My dog has had two appointments with this vet. For the first appointment, it went all right, but then they never called me with his test results. Then they started sending me mail regularly about their services and saying he needed services, when to my knowledge he is up to date on everything. Then I needed to get him allergy shots since we moved from out of state and his allergies are terrible. They didn't have an appointment right away, so I scheduled like a week in advance. I was 12 minutes late to my appointment for him. But then I called to let them know we were out front and I preceded to hold on the phone for more than 6 minutes. Then the guy gets on the phone and tells me that *I'm* 20 minutes late and they can't see my dog. He says they can work him in an hour from now, so I say OK, I'll take him home and be back in an hour. He says no, I have to wait there for a whole hour so that they can take him in exactly an hour. I rescheduled instead for a few days from now. Will most likely find another vet. I understand that I was slightly late. I just don't like how I was treated. There was no apology. The guy on the phone was rude about the whole thing. read more

Did a visit for checkup & Pre-Op blood work $140.43 Our first concern was to have growths removed by an eye and any others place that the dog could reach. Second was while she was under to have her teeth clean. The cleaning was done first but not able to remove growths due to the dog condition at the time. So, I paid $956.09 to have cleaning on teeth. But did give me back $318.86 as a credit. $637.23 was the final bill. I can't afford this clinic. read more

We first found Longenbaugh Vet by looking for a vet with laser surgery for cat declaws as it's so much better than traditional methods. Longenbaugh was the only reasonably priced facility I found in Houston. They're a 30 - 60 minute drive depending on traffic. We keep trying other vets closer by, but we keep going back to Longenbaugh because of the exemplary expertise and collaborative approach to planning pet care. Dr. Keadle and his staff were very nice and thoughtful during my dog's last days with us. After her health deteriorated quickly we called one vet nearby who was booked but recommended Longenbaugh Veterinary Hospital. We were able to get an appointment the next day and were able to be seen. Unfortunately in between getting test results back and trying to get another appointment my dog passed away. The staff were very kind and helped us with decisions for cremation. They sent a condolences letter unexpectedly. Having great people who love on our fur babies makes this time more bearable. We brought our other dog in for a check up soon after and Dr. Keadle asked how our family was doing with our other dogs passing. Even though we have only recently started going to the vet hospital, we will be life long customers because of how much Dr. Keadle and his staff cared about our dogs. read more

THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!! I rarely write reviews, but had SUCH an amazing experience with Dr. Keadle (and his entire staff) that I had to share. If you are looking for a vet or need a second opinion, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this office!!!!!!!!!! I live in Charlotte, but I've been in Houston during COVID. I'm a Banfield member, so can go to any Banfield Vet Clinic in the US (most are at Petmarts). A few months in, my 6 lb dog ate a grape and the Banfield near my house said they couldn't help me since it was an emergency procedure to remove the grape. I called Longenbaugh Vet since my neighbors went there for years, and they were SO accommodating and helpful (and urgent!!). Even though I wasn't a pre-existing patient, they got me in right away and got the grape out. And the cost of the procedure was so reasonable - I felt like they weren't trying to nickel and dime me like other places do. I genuinely felt like the entire staff cared more about the wellbeing of my dog (whom they have never even met) over anything else. Then, a few months ago, I took my dog for her routine dental cleaning to the local Banfield clinic and when I picked her up after the procedure, they told me that she had cracked two of her molars and that I needed to schedule an appt to get them removed ASAP. They informed me that they couldn't remove them while she was already under anesthesia for the dental cleaning that day, because it needed to be coded separately. Even though it's more trauma for her to be under anesthesia twice in just a few months being so small, it didn't matter to them. And even though I pay the monthly insurance to be a member, it was going to cost me over $1,200 out of pocket. Since Dr. Keadle was so great when they removed my dog's grape, I decided to get a second evaluation with him. They got me in right away and he confirmed that the molars did need to be removed and that it would cost me significantly less than what Banfield wanted to charge. Again, I felt like he and his staff truly cared more about Poppy's wellbeing and less about what will get you to pay more. I felt so confident in him being the one to do the procedure and he was so knowledgeable, helpful, trusting, and most importantly - he genuinely cares about the animals and owners that he sees. If you are looking for a new vet or if you just moved here, I HIGHLY recommend Longenbaugh Vet! Everyone is so awesome and even though I still pay Banfield monthly, I am continuing to take my dog to Dr. Keadle at Longenbaugh Vet until I move back to Charlotte - because they're THAT awesome. I have so much confidence in Dr. Keadle and his entire staff, and feel like they all genuinely care about the well being of the animals! read more

Love the fact that it is a small vet so there is little turnover and they remember my fur babies names. While other clinics might be cheaper, I've learned you get what you pay for...Dr Keadles vast experience allows little room for error. I've brought my dogs in thinking I knew what the issue was and it turned out to be something completely different. With his knowledge, they've been able to get everything right via proper diagnosis THE FIRST TIME and able to treat accordingly. Allows you to save time and money! We recently got a new puppy after a few years of being fur baby free. This place was recommended to us by a neighbor/stylist and we are in love. They are so nice and personable and Pippa loves to see her friends at the vet. They have car pick up and when they are done they bring your pet back out to the car and talk to you about how the visit went. We did a chain vet and we always felt like just a number to them. I love Dr. Keadle. Have lived in Copperfield almost 35 years and have been taking my pets to him for about 32. Tobi lived to be 20 thanks to his excellent care. Now Tommy will be 17 in August. I have used LVC since 2017 after moving from Downtown Houston. Dr. Keadle is a great doctor as we have had rescued dogs and he has treated them for Heartworms and they lived. He has dealt with a dog that had allergies, end of life and prevention of fleas and Heartworms. All my dogs go there for all their vaccines, baths and boarding. His caring love of animals comes through each visit. I'm grateful to have a great Vet! His credentials are impeccable and his Staff friendly and courteous. Our dog got bit in the mouth by another dog next door. Bleeding with torn lip. Both dogs had their faces under the fence. Our dog lost. We called our normal vet in Bear Creek and they were booked and they suggested trying Logenbaugh Vets. We did and they were super busy but squeezed in our dog for an appointment. Curbside service worked very well. All personnel we dealt with either over the phone or the ones that came to the car were quite professional, polite, and caring. Our dog got an office visit and suggested treatment which included anesthesia and stiches. All went well and we picked up our dog at the end of the day with proper medicines. Best vet, hands down. I am so thankful that I happened to schedule an appt here over a year ago now. I am an owner of a french and american bulldog and this doctor and his assistants have so much knowledge with them. They care about the animals and also the environment and all of the background history so they know that the pet is in good hands. Lately I temporarily took in a french bulldog of another friend because it wasn't compatible with the other frenchie that it was living with. The dog was tortured so when I took him in, we took her to get all fixed up and taken care of. They were so happy to know that I took the dog in and asked several questions to see if we were doing everything possible to prevent it from happening with our dogs. The same dog went in to heat a couple of weeks later and I haven't ever experienced this with a dog. After several weeks, something wasn't seeming normal because she was still in heat. The owner took his dog to his vet, and the vet gave the dog a steroid shot and antibiotics and just said it was a bad infection and that they would follow up in a week. I got the dog back and she looked so bad. She wasn't eating, so I knew I would feel better after getting a second opinion from Dr. Keadle. I was so happy that I did. Dr. Keadle ended up doing an emergency surgery (on a Friday, right before closing) removing her ovaries and uterus, because she was suffering from Pyometra, a deadly sickness that can and will kill the dog if it goes un noticed. The Dr. said the dog wouldn't have made it, had we waited the amount of time that the original Dr. said. The dog is healing perfectly and she seems so happy compared to a couple of weeks ago! Just the fact that the Dr. did an unplanned surgery at closing hours and stayed late, just shows how much he truly does care for the dogs. I definitely recommend this Dr. read more
