I was a customer there for many years. I had 16 srays cats get spayed natured and vaccinated. When I went there today, they told I don't exist in there computer system, they have constand change in staff, with the most unexperienced, no medical trained, rude and disgusting attitude. I've been taking my personal and foster pets here for years and they are AMAZING! The only complaint I probably have is sometimes it is hard to get through their phone system, which hey, they are great and they get busy, so I get it! The vets/vet techs here don't just keep shaming pet owners about their pet being overweight when they clearly aren't (I've experienced that so many times at other vets with my pets who are clearly at an optimal weight. Sometimes it is even because the vet read their weight wrong!), they offer constructive help and are always honest about what they can and cannot offer. Spay/neuter price is super affordable and is basically 1/3 of the cost from other vets like Thrive and VCA. They also have way more spay/neuter appointments available comparing to other vets. The annual shot visits usually is about $120 cheaper than other vets I've been to. Do know this is more of a wellness clinic so it is great for annual shots, blood work, dental work, preventatives but not for injured animals. They also don't offer more expensive products like Cytopoint or Trifexis so I'd say definitely use them for all the preventatives, spay/neuter, as well as annual shots but have a backup vet for anything more severe or injuries. read more

10 years ago it was exceptionally great and inexpensive animal clinic with friendly staff. Like in all animal clinics in Houston prices go up quality of service goes down. PRIVATE EQUITY VULTURES HAVE CORRUPTED VETERINARY SERVICES ALL AROUND HOUSTON. And pet parents even do not sign petitions asking to stop that deadly process. If you love animals and do not mind how many hundred dollars you pay for every more complicated vet visit for your furry baby -support protest anyway. Think about older people of limited means who now when retired have time to help animals but not means. Did you dear pet owner also noticed that most of veterinarians nowadays want to do wellness and nothing else ? With everything more complicated than shots they sent you to "specialist " like GULF coast clinic where the prices are not high but CRIMINAL. The good: I've always had good visits. Been given good services for my animals brought in. I've neutered 3 dogs there and all have been done splendidly. The bad: Leaving voicemails/texts are not worth it as they never call back/respond. I was given medication that was the wrong weight for my dog and cost more than the correctly weighted one and when I brought that up it was not taken care of. Just was given oh that's fine, they can still use that one. SO I would say take the idea of getting good costs with the lack of people service. We do go here for the animals but I would hope that any business could give good customer service as well as great services for our fur babies. read more

Another outstanding experience today with the team at KAAWS/529 location. I took my most recent rescue dog to KAAWS for an evaluation of a few dermal masses that concerned me. Lisa our initial technician was caring compassionate and communicative. Dr. Hawley examined Bo and evaluated the masses and determined they were eligible for removal at thier practice. We proceeded with pre anesthetic blood work. Dr. Hawley emailed me within hours of our visit to notify that my pet's labs were within normal limits and he was a good candidate for the surgery. Luckily the schedule had space and I was able to reserve surgery for the Friday of the same week. I received thorough printed instructions for surgery prep along with emailed confirmation and surgery check in instructions. On surgery day we arrived around 7:30 am and checked in curbside by texting the clinic upon parking. We waited in the car about 30 minutes and received a text inviting us to a room around 8 am. Our technician, Taylor took Bo's weight, reviewed our surgery estimate and pre surgical intake form, and measured expectations for the day. Dr. Bazan performed a comprehensive pre surgery exam and let us know Bo was all clear to have his procedure. I left by 9 am. By 11:30 am I received an update about my pet's status via text. By 1:30 I was arriving to pickup my boy. Upon pickup all discharge instructions, medications and follow up appointments were explained to me by the front desk staff. I received a comprehensive summary of the care Bo received with time stamps in my patient discharge forms. My pet is comfortably resting and on the way to recovery now. Having access to the services at the KAAWS Clinic is instrumental in helping me keep my animals healthy and rescue others. I'm grateful for Dr. Bazan and her entire team of dedicated professionals. 10/10 recommend and will return for future needs. read more

I picked up my dog from her SURGERY on Thursday with FECES on her tail and butt. They cared more about me paying for a parasite screening than they did cleaning her up. Thank God for KAAWS!!! I rescued some kittens last year and ended up falling in love with the 2 remaining little girls. I needed to spay them, get their shots current and get them chipped. I called all the vets around me and the price for just spaying one was around $350-$600!!! A friend told me about KAAWS and I made an appointment that day. I was able to spay, get their shots and microchip them for BOTH for $400. I dropped them off that morning and then picked them up around 5pm. They healed perfectly without any issues or complications. Thank you again for keeping the prices low so everyone can do the right thing and spay their pets. read more

There customer service is horrible! I arrived on time for my appointment! Since they sent an email with 2 options I gave them a call once I arrived to see which option I needed to proceed with! coming in or waiting in the car! Once someone picked up I was told To txt and wait! Once I sent the txt Angela told I was late! And I had to reschedule because that's the policy! Mind you I was on time! I called for 2 days in a row and they did not pick up the phone both times. I went in person to get information for my dog and she quickly directed me to book an appointment online. The lady upfront was not welcoming and she did not seem to want to assist even with questions of how the process goes. When I asked if she could just go ahead and assist in scheduling the appointment she said no due to them being occupied with a surgery? As soon as I left and got in the car I received a call back from them which was pointless since I had to go in person due to them not answering ( I had left a voicemail a couple hours before since they did not pick up)... I'm pretty sure if I didn't mention when I went in person how they do not answer phones they would have not called back. I had a wonderful experience with KAAWS. My puppy got spayed and the process couldn't have gone smoother. The check in process was easy since I had my paperwork ready in advance. The staff and veterinary assistants were extremely friendly. Our assistant did an exam before I left and she was so nice to my puppy and made sure she was comfortable. She was very interactive and pleasant with the dog and myself. I got a call when my puppy was done with her surgery and updated as to how she was doing in the afternoon, which put my mind at ease. When I went to pick her up the process was quick and painless. The desk staff got me checked out and a vet assistant briefed me on my puppy's needs and how to treat her until she was healed. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I greatly appreciate KAAWS for being such a great establishment and catering to the animal community. I chose this clinic because they charged me about half of what my regular vet wanted to charge for a spay. I took my dog this morning and the process was easy and painless. When I set the appointment, the staff member who answered the phone was friendly and patient with my questions. Their forms are all online and can easily be submitted without a fuss. The day of the appointment, I checked in via text as instructed, waited in my car (approx 30 min) until they were ready for us to come in. They highlighted this wait time in their instruction email so I knew there would be a wait at drop off. I've used SNAP in the past and had been through the same process there so this isn't unusual. We went in and had a brief meeting with a vet tech and they checked my dog to make certain she was fit for surgery. They were communicative throughout the day, letting me know a couple hours after I dropped her off that she was in recovery and could be picked up after a few hours. They offered payment over the phone so there was nothing to do at pickup except getting my dog and heading home. We went home with detailed instructions and pain meds. It couldn't have been easier. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION AND SERVICE. I made a yelp just to make this review. I arrived at 6:45 for my appointment at 7 and they didn't take my pup back until 8:30- making me 1 hour late for work. I'm typically really patient, but given the lack of communication and them changing my appointment time to 7:55 without informing me, this obviously caused irritation. Especially when i was the second car in the parking lot and I watched each person get tended to until the sun came up. I informed them that I would like to know if they'd be able to take him back at the agreed time-- 7:00- so i could reschedule. No one bothered to respond until an hour later telling me they added me to the wait list. I tried calling, but my call was taken by an off site associate, who did little to help convey my message to the Cypress location. No one ever assisted me with rescheduling or telling me why my appointment time was moved. I wish I could give 0 starts just for service, but the woman who assisted me after the long wait was kind. So with physicals or check ups which is all the do here. Beside spay, neuter and dental they don't see sick animals. Their physicals are not throughly. They are very superficial and they charge 25 for visit and whatever else the animal needs. They are not friendly and they never take time to get to know the animal or the family. It's all business. I took my dogs for many years and they never knew me or my dogs. One of my dogs gets really anxious and barks a lot and shakes when in the clinic and every time they would looked annoyed. I had to explain my dogs had anxiety. This is not a cheap or affordable place, and don't be late bc you will be charge and or cancel your appt. To buy maintanance meds they have an online pharmacy that requires for you to set an autocharge every month so your meds are "cheaper" be careful with this. I had an unauthorized charge of 330 dls and when I called Kaaws to find put why, they told me to check with med company, that thet had nothing to do with it that I had to call the med company. But the pharmacy is in there webpage! Anyway I dropped Kaaws bc they are a joke and their pharmacy which is Vetsource. Both shady companies that are all in for the money. Lucy had an appt (appt only due to Covid) and was seen promptly. About 30 mins later we were completely done and paid up for our visit. Couldn't be happier with Dr. Bethea and her staff. I asked if Brix could have his pill this month so he would not be unprotected. The rude woman at the counter said no. This proves they are all about the almighty dollar and could care less if Brix was put at risk for heartworms. I got his records from them and we will be going to another vet. I have been to a lot of vets in my time but I have never had any one of them pull this bs. Didn't say she was going to need blood work, said the exact opposite actually, fast forward to day of surgery. After I dropped her off, all of a sudden she needed $120 bloodwork and all her medical files from her regular vet. They waste your time and your gas, and they don't care. Whoever is answering your phones to schedule an appointment (sounds like a Hispanic girl) is very rude, passive aggressive , and unprofessional. She had an attitude and I did not appreciate that especially if I'm bringing my animal who I deeply love and care for to a place where their staff is inconsiderate then I wouldn't even trust them, they probably are mean to the animals as well. I've taken one of my animals to y'all a year ago and it was not that great of and experience felt rushed and when they gave me my cat back they didn't even have the cone on her head after surgery and I had a hard time putting it on her and at that the cone they provided was way too big and she slipped right out it so I had complications with her suture and had to take her in a few times after that. Felt that it wouldn't be as good of service and the doctors wouldn't be as experienced, capable, or professional. BOY WAS I WRONG! Clean, neat, and quiet facility. Wonderful service from the front desk, vet technician, vet, and check out. Everybody knew what was going on. Went on Monday at 3pm so there were only about 3 other "families" there. This was my first visit to KAAWS. I found the staff to be friendly. The doctor was nice too. The only thing I found bothersome was the wait to see the doctor. I arrived 10 minutes early (DON'T BE LATE) and they did not call us for 40 minutes. Then 10 more minutes in the exam room before the doctor came in to see my dog. I guess by a "doctor appt." schedule, this is normal. Unfortunately. Having more than one pet annual shots can get quite expense. So if you want to save money this is the place to go. Very poor customer service, first of all let me begin by saying that I called the office and waited 30 minutes, I finally hung up because nobody picked up, prior to that I pressed 1 to get a call back and "no call back". My husband brought both of my dogs for a wellness this morning and got some shots and one of my dogs in in a lot of pain and can not walk!! 3 ATTEMPS TO TRY AND GET CONTACT WITH SOMEONE IN THE OFFICE, THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! I have been coming here for 4 years, its time to change to a new Vet!!! P.S Manager do not ask to call you because you guys don't answer anyways!!!
