If you need an after work pick-me-up, OR, if you want to edge off after work, BHD has you covered! This place is both a coffee shop, and the "speakeasy." Want a coffee or tea drink, a bagel, a banana, or a bougie pastry? You can find these in the cafe. If you want an excellent, if not overpriced, cocktail? You can find it at the bottom of the spiral staircase, in the bar area. The area directly above the bar (up a few steps up from the cafe), is a nice seating area. The view, over the parking lot(s) of the river, is surprisingly scenic. Service: This is a weird one...on nearly every occasion that we've been here, the wife and I got strange vibes. The people behind the counter in the coffee shop seemed, for some reason, snobby and aloof. C'mon, girls, you're baristas, not prima ballerinas...Still, the service was at least fast and accurate. I like the atmosphere. From the comfy chairs in the cafe, to the "secret" back door of the speakeasy, this place is very cool. However, THE BAR NEEDS A FOOT RAIL! All in all, this is a very nice edition to the downtown coffee, and bar, scene.

I chose the Bailey's cheesecake, which I took downstairs to the speakeasy. I then paired it with and espresso old fashioned which was delicious. The combination of the two was absolute perfection! This place was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the feel of it. The service was great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Bad business decision. This visit tonight was not our first visit we are there several times a month but tonight was the first time we had to pay for extra for dinning. And to be frank, Frank not sure the Brick House will be our first choice going forward. People reading this you won't be disappointed with the quality of this restaurant my issue is the sudden charge for credit. Now before you get over excited there are several restaurants in the area that do not charge for credit.

Ambiance was dark- like a bar-type of atmosphere- which didn't matter because it was an overcast day in Ohio. It was also more of a sports var as there were lots of TV screens. I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich after being assured by my server that it was one of her favorites. It came with delicious French Fries. The sandwich was good but not amazing. For my taste, the chicken was a bit overcooked, but better than undercooked. The fries were delicious, even though I only ate a few. Before I went to college, I worked in a nice seafood restaurant and our nightly task was to make sure ketchup containers were full. Therefore, I noticed that my container of ketchup was down to the last few squirts. Never a good thing/sound! Overall, not a bad place to eat, but nothing worth going out of your way to try, imo. I see that others gave it better reviews, so this is my experience, Pictures below...

Once on st patty's (great buffet) and this time. The only thing I'll say is that, it's an interesting place, a lot going on, from live band, a lot of seating which makes it both accommodating but very tight to move around, service has been a hit at the busiest and a miss on an average day so, inconsistent. THIS IS A PLACE THAT WILL CHARGE A CC FEE AND NOT LIST OR ITEMIZE IT!!! I absolutely hate that. Quit trying to hide 3-4% just be upfront and clear about it if you're going to do it, especially for disabled, blind etc. this is absolutely something that I will not return for usually-- I got another try still so, we'll see.

All spirits and liquors are made in house. When we visited, they had their brunch menu going on which switches for dinner at 4pm. Will was our bartender and I could not have nicer things to say about him! He sparked up some casual conversation with us, answered some questions we had, and made some great recommendations on drinks! He mentioned their two most popular brunch drinks were the Espresso Martini & Benton's Old Fashioned. We ordered both and WOW! Such a balanced cocktail, nice presentation, and great flavors. Their dinner menu was currently inspired by well known novels which previewing the menu had me wanting to come back. Such a fun spot with unique offerings you won't find at other spots in Toledo. Must try!

The place where I was meeting friends was actually another side of the building called Hannon's Garage. Once I got to the very small table, I looked at the menu and saw the drink menu was very small. Me and my friend decided to order a watermellon drink, something different. The waitress seem to be scrambling and forgot us for awhile. Then finally brought our drinks. I took one sip and almost choked on a watermelon seed. The drink had fresh watermelon (puree), which i didnt like and a bunch of mint! It taste horrible, like watermelon water! Then I ordered a crab cake, and when that finally came, it looked amazing! I took one bite out of it and fell in love, then tried to share with the table and immediately noticed a long black hair sticking out of the meat of my crab cake! I could not believe this! I was very upset and just let down because it was sooo good. Then the silverware didnt match in the napkins, my friend got two drinks, waitress opened the wrong flavor of drink and gave both to him, After all the mishaps, I don't think Ill be back at this place again. Nice wait staff though.
