Delivered in under 10 minutes, hot and delicious. The bar was full but the bartender was very quick and organized. The only reason this was not a 5 star review was the hostess. Either hated her job or was having a horrible day. There were 5 empty tables surrounding the bar. Asked to be seated at one of those and she responded with a curt "no". No other explanation given. We went to Longhorn on a Wednesday night hungry for a good steak dinner. We each ordered the 12 ounce ribeye which came with salad and a side. I got salad with blue cheese dressing and asparagus and my husband got the same salad and a sweet potato. We both ordered our steaks medium rare. Our waitress was attentive and cordial and we were seated in a nice private booth which made for a quieter dinner. The wheat bread served first was delicious. The salads were great. The asparagus was cooked perfectly as was the sweet potato. The steaks were disappointingly thin so they were over cooked. They were not even an inch thick. Our medium rare was not medium rare. My grandfather was a butcher and I could hear his voice in my head remarking about the thin cut of the ribeye. I've had a better cut of beef at a restaurant that wasn't a steak house. So disappointing! Since we were pressed for time we ate what we could (less than 1/3 for me) and didn't send it back to the kitchen. It was tough to chew and didn't have the rich ribeye flavor. I hadn't been to Longhorn in some years. I remembered a clean, upscale place. What we encountered was sadly not that. First off, no one was at the front host stand. A young woman walked by twice and gave us stink eye, she next answered a phone call, and eventually came back and asked us if were there to eat. Um yes, why else would we be standing there trying to catch an employees eye. We got seated, the floor was slick on the non-carpeted portion. As we walked to the table, I was already sorry we chose this place. It was dingy. The table was sticky. HINT; do not use the same cloth all day for wiping 50 tables. There was dried splatter on the wall area. My partners seat was caved in. A different waiter nearby was shouting and carrying on so loudly, we joked he thought he was still in last night's nightclub. It was more of a Chuck E Cheese atmosphere. The food was decent, our waiter checked on us one time. We paid and left, mutually deciding to not return. Have not tried Longhorn Beavercreek in a while due to my last terrible experience. my wife and I thought we would give it another try. Big mistake! Went in at 4:00. Only a few customers in the establishment. Waitress sat us down and that was it. We waited with Menus in our hand for over 15 minutes. Know one ever showed. My wife and I got up and walked to the Exit. I stated "great customer service! " the waitress at the desk stated "thank you, have a good evening "! Absolutely clueless. The service was great the ambiance was your typical steakhouse but what prevented me from giving them 5 stars was the quality of their steaks. I can't speak for the normal cuts like top sirloin, new York, or ribeye but I got the porter house and the flavor on the outside was ok but the texture of the meat was like it was previously frozen several times prior to being cooked. Very good experience. We were seated immediately upon arriving at about 6pm on a Monday night. They sat us at a table in the bar area. I was kind of surprised that the bartender was our server. But, the bar wasn't crowded and she did a great job of keeping up with our order and drinks. I was craving the Parmesan crusted chicken as I've had it in the past at other Longhorns. It did not disappoint. Consistent with the other times I've ordered this dish. Tender and flavorful. The Caesar salad was a bit lacking in dressing, but at least it wasn't drowning in it. Haven't had a bad food experience there yet. There was one instance where the lobster wasn't cleaned well but the manager comped us an item after we brought it to the wait staffs attention. The only thing I'd say I don't like is how uncomfortable the booths and how worn out the seat cushions are. We ate dinner at this location last night and our party consisted of 2 adults and 1 toddler. We went in around 730pm or so. There were quite a few cars in the lot when we arrived although once inside it did not seem that busy. There was nobody up front to greet us when we walked in and we had to sit for probably 2 minutes before someone greeted us. Although I wouldn't use the word "greeted" because a young lady showed up from the back and simply said "How many of you are there?". Being the only three people waiting it was obvious who she was taking to but I was slightly taken back by the abrupt nature of her question without first giving a "hello" or "welcome to...". The only issue I had with the dinning area was that the floor was quite dirty and I could see food on the floor. Other than that the space was just fine. Our waitress was nice, friendly and efficient. We had ordered a mushroom appetizer which was good. I had the New York strip medium rare and my wife had (I can't remember the name) some other steak cut. Overall the strip was bland and dry with not much appeal. Our drinks were just water and I had two beers. I am pretty sure the second beer I received was not the same type as I ordered. I have been drinking the same type of beer for quite a long time so I'm very familiar with the taste, especially when compared to other beers. Overall I'm not sure if I would recommend this place or not or if I'll be going back here. I do feel as though our waitress would do well at a higher end restaurant though. read more

When I was here I ordered their lamb chops. It was good, but they were skinny little lamb pieces. The ones I make at home are bigger and better. If I were to order this again, I would order it with no sauce. And again, ask for regular mashed potatoes instead of horseradish whipped mashed potatoes. Ok ordered dinner for pick up! BIG HUGE MISTAKE! Steaks were not cooked medium well, potatoes well they were potatoes, hubby loved his steakhouse Mac n Cheese and the portion looks big in the pics but we measured four tablespoons in each container and I always enjoy my salad little did I know a quarter of the salad was the core of the head of lettuce!!! Note pics! Needless to say we are going to stop going to Longhorn unless you eat in so you can at least tell a manager but ordering pick up is a joke. Every time we have picked up before there has always have been very little problem maybe forgotten bread, no sour cream etc. but this was way too much to not let other fellow steak lovers no to BEWARE of pick up!!! This review is on the service and the food quality The food quality - it's not very good. The meat (ribeye) came out looking great. Nice sear on it and marbled fat. Cooked medium just like i ordered. I ordered the mushrooms and onions on the side and started to dig in. What I got was a mouth full of salt and I immediately stopped putting onions and mushrooms on my steak thinking they sautéed it too salty. What I soon discovered was that the steak was seared in a crust of salt. To the point I could not finish the steak. The veggies were fine but nothing special. More like an after thought. The best part of my meal was the soda which was fizzy and good and the salad which wasn't too salty. The service was very cordial and prompt. When i got my bill it was $30. I gave a $100 dollar bill. What she gave me for change was $30. See the issue here? I explained that she took my $100 and gave me back my bill amount instead of my $70 change. This has never happened to me before......ever. She apologized and gave me correct change and I tipped her 25% because up to that point she was very good. Based on the food... I can not recommend this location. Drink orders and appetizer went well. #3. She said they had more bread coming out and will bring it as soon as it was done......I had to ask for it after the appetizer arrived. She apologized. #4. Had to ask for silverware.....she apologized. #5. Waited a little long to ask for refills or additional drinks. Brought water right away. #6. The place had cleared most of the way out and we thought our service might improve? Nope, she took her sweet time once again wherever she was disappearing to in the back, because most of the time she was gone between visits she was nowhere to be found. I can only guess what she was doing in the back? Sharing her weekend and all of her emotions on each event with several friends on the phone? Other staff? I don't know, but I have to wonder about the manager? I know that good people are extremely hard to find right now.....but... #7. The food and drink was all very good, EXCEPT my wife's steak. We started frequenting this place due to the superior quality of steak, among a few other things. Before tonight, always tender, juicy, flavorful, and couldn't ask for more! NOT TONIGHT! She was friendly and courteous, and we had our drinks in fewer than five minutes. Our server's interaction with our preteen son was pleasant and professional. She treated him like a young man, not a baby, and as a result, he had a happy dining experience. Thank you, ma'am, for that. My husband and son both had burgers, which they practically inhaled. My husband thought there were too many fried onions on his burger, but since you can just brush those off onto the plate without affecting the flavor, we'll chalk that up to personal preference, not an actual problem. They both loved the seasoned fries and made them disappear quickly. I had Flo's filet, a six-ounce cut, and it was cooked perfectly medium, as I requested. I can't even tell you the last time I got a restaurant steak cooked exactly the way I like it. It was very tender, and the seasonings were well balanced. The steak was juicy without being greasy, and I wolfed it down. I had their steamed broccoli on the side, and it was really tasty, with a pronounced lemon presence (thank you!); I think I could have eaten a whole bowl of just the broccoli. Thank you for making the side mean something, rather than just filling the empty space with crappy, overcooked mush. So, TL;DR, service was fast and friendly, restaurant was clean, food was good. Probably one of the best corporate owned restaurant in the area. The outlaw ribye is always the bomb no matter how bad the cook might try to mess it up, and always get the Flo's fillet over the 12oz because the 12 oz will come out much tougher in comparison. Drinks are usually well mixed and don't forget to tip well especially if you sit at the bar. ( I have noticed a few regulars are some charlie cheapskates when it comes to the tip).
