Hot rolls with cinnamon butter comes out early on. I don't usually eat bread, but make an exception here. Soooo good. We really enjoyed them with a bottle of red wine very reasonably priced. I ordered the three filet medallions. They were a bit tough/chewy; not the same (high) quality as the single 6 oz filet and ribeye that I enjoyed on previous visits. The medallions were prepared precisely as ordered. My sides were salad, sweet potato and mixed veggies - all excellent. I was solo, so I chose to eat at the bar. Service was attentive and excellent. My wife and I stopped on our way home. I don't remember why we were out and about but we wanted something a little more hearty and Texas Roadhouse sounded good. Food was good. Wife's salad bowl had a chip in it so it took some time to get our server over to get a new bowl (she had been somewhere and bit into a piece of glass bowl before so has some PTSD over cracks in plates or bowls). But got a new salad and it didn't mess up the timing of our food. Food was good. Got a half slab of ribs for the first time...Oh Man...I may just get a full rack next time. Those were unbelievable. Meat fell right off the bone. So tender and tasty...oh man. A highlight try for sure. Server was good and attentive but busy with many tables. Rolls were 10 out of 10 as always. I don't need to hear this, but nobody wants to pay their bill on a tablet, especially when it lacks basic functions like combining checks. We had a large party and our kids were at a different table. They gave the kids their own check and insisted that checks can't be combined under any circumstance, even at adjacent tables with the same server. This is complete nonsense. Even worse, this was probably the worst steak I've ever had at a Texas Roadhouse and the first one I hadn't finished. It was cooked ok but not trimmed well and had a lot of hard incredible fat. We had one member of our party brought the wrong salad dressing twice in a row, and finally gave up sending it back. Another entree order was completely forgotten and most of the party was done eating by the time it was brought out. Other people in the party had steaks cooked wrong, and I could keep going on but I'd be beating a dead horse. The real shame was our server was hard working and I still gave him a good tip, but I have to imagine others aren't as generous and turnover here is probably high. My best friend had the worst experience after the bartender served her a Heineken that was NOT Heineken 0 alcohol. Which is what she asked for. She had FIVE years sobriety under her belt and it was broken from a sip of the wrong beer. Ultimately we expect people that work in this capacity to have a little more attention to detail. Just had a late lunch early dinner there today with my father and sister not real impressed with the service and especially not impressed with both my dad and I larger cut New York sirloin steaks Both of them were really gristly and fatty probably close to 1/4 of the steak was inedible due to being fat and gristle The kitchen should definitely trim them better or just purchase better cuts of meat. And the employees should not walk by empty dirty plates placed at the end of the table that are obviously ready to be taken away and just walk by and just ignore them. I bet half a dozen different employees over the course of 10 minutes walk by a couple plates that were ready to be removed from the table and they just passed them up just like It's not their job to grab them to carry them off. Totally unacceptable. The waitress never returned to our table within 10 minutes after serving us to ask how things were, or I would've told her then how poor quality the steaks were. I understand this is just a chain steak family restaurant and not an upscale steakhouse serving dry aged beef But I've probably eaten hundreds of New York strip steaks in my life and the one I ate today was one of the worst Very unlikely I go back anytime soon maybe a few years from now I'll give them another try but I just don't see myself returning just to have another poor quality steak read more

We received a gift card and hadn't been to Texas Roadhouse in quite awhile. It was absolutely fabulous! Compared to pricy nearby steakhouses this place tops all of them. We totally enjoyed our entire meal. The steaks were top notch. The service is quite simply impressive. From the very efficient hostess to our server Cedrick. He was the best. Last night we visited this location for dinner. Parking for the location is shared with a strip mall and a Bob Evans restaurant. The location of the business is completely at the back of the strip center in a corner by a main road. Parking is awkward for a business pulling in so many guests and it was difficult to find a spot. But, that's kind of normal for these places. Ambiance of the inside was usual. We were seated really quickly with a party of 4. What I immediately did not like was the space and congestion of the walkways through the restaurant. There was little space for two people to pass and at the stations where servers were entering or updating table tickets it was particularly cluttered. Probably little can be done about this. But, it's something to consider improving during a remodel. Conditions of booths and tables show the wear of a restaurant that sees a high level of traffic. Meaning benches need some repair or replacing along with the woodwork around them. It was noticeable from where I was sitting several booths had broken sideboards and cracks and chips that needed replaced or redone. This restaurant is cold. I mean, the eating area could double for a meat freezer should the BOH coolers crash. I usually can take some AC like anyone. But, this place was frigid. Which made for a rather uncomfortable dining experience. The food was good and as expected from TRH. There was some latency in getting refills and more bread and stuff like that out to us after the waiter asked to the time that it was delivered. I'm attributing that to the level of customers being served at the time we were there. I would have also liked the dirty plates cleaned up more quickly than what they were. Seems I had to shuffle around empty baskets and dirty plates longer than I should before they were picked up or asked to be taken away. I did not notice upon entering. But, did notice upon leaving a gush of smoke smell from the kitchen area hit your nose like a sucker punch. I'm assuming it's just ventilation and perhaps purposeful to give the consumer the reminder they cook things on site. But, it was a little much and noticeable as I was leaving. Food was great, server was goo, overall the restaurant seemed clean and well taken care of with a staff that was trying to keep it that way. I'd recommend this location. Just take a sweatshirt or hoodie with you as it's super cold. read more

Service was very friendly, however if there's a start up limit on drinks then the server should know. If the manager wants to send a message to you after you've been waiting 20 minutes for drinks that dont show up, then maybe he should come out himself. Instead he sent another out to speak for him. It would be different if you knew ahead of time. Don't be one of those managers that send people because you cant do it yourself. Delightful dining experience here! We came early around 5, which was definitely the right call. We were seated almost immediately, and I've never had food come out so fast. We ordered the full slab (that comes with two sides) for both of us to share, and that was more than enough food, and it only cost around $30. Had mac and cheese as a side, upgraded to loaded, got shredded cheese, bacon cups, and plain macaroni noodles with no cheese sauce, second side of apple sauce leaked all over the bag even though it was held upright the ride home. Prime rib was ordered medium rare, came medium and was mostly fat, added mushrooms/onions, and a side of sautéed onions also burnt. Only one order turned out ok, but the steak was still done wrong, well done instead of medium. Only good things were the customer service at pickup and the rolls. The server was genuinely friendly and provided great suggestions. He checked in with us at all the right times and predicted my need for a refill. Boxes came out fast. We didn't feel rushed at all. I loved my experience at this Texas Roadhouse. Yesterday, we celebrated a friend's birthday with an amazing late lunch/dinner. Consistency is key with restaurants and I find that every time that I go to any Roadhouse around the country I always find that I leave very happy. We were immediately met at our table by a very friendly, attentive server who took wonderful care of us. She couldn't have been better. My Prime Rib was perfect! Cooked rare as I ordered with an absolutely delicious sweet potato as my side. Everyone at the table ordered extra sides/sauces and our server was more than willing to get us anything needed. Finally, I love that each restaurant brings in local artwork from the community. This one for example is on Col. Glenn Hwy and there's a beautiful painting of him above the bar. The Texas Roadhouse in Fairborn, OH needs new management and new training staff for the kitchen. The servers do not know how to look for obvious indications for a person dining with common sense i.e. empty glasses of water and ensuring the proper items are being brought to the customer when asked for. Tasty steak and not too terrible of a wait for a Friday night. Friendly service from our waiter and the drinks were very reasonable. So...why the 3 stars? Here's s the lowdown. They have this little computer screen on the table and it has games and you can pay on it. The waiter didn't bring the check, he said that if you pay by credit card you use that little thing. What he didn't say that if we touched it to try a game of battleship or PAID OUR BILL on it, then it would charge me $1.99 and then charge tax on that too. That is not cool, cowboy. read more

most of our food was good . one burger was not very tasty . the manager offered to cook the burger again and when i told him it was cooked properly just tasted nasty he didn't offer to take it off the bill or give us a discount. i probably could have overlooked this if it was my only irritation during this Father's day visit . when the bill came and we asked for a military discount we were told that they couldn't do that without redoing the entire check and acted as if it was a big inconvenience . we had two former military in our party and it felt as if they did not care for their service.
