I really like this golden corral. The lunch price is very reasonable, especially since I really just like water with my meal. I like to go to sam's club down the road first so I can get fifty dollars in golden coral gift cards for only forty five dollars. That makes it even better deal. The fish is very very good. The soup needs to be hotter. They did run out of ranch dressing, but I told them, and they refilled it quickly. Complimentary coffee with dessert. Five stars for value. Five stars for Jesse, my friendly server. This place does get loud so if you're looking for a quiet lunch spot, go next door to McAllister. As an update to my previous review, I'm lowering my score for this Golden Corral. We went here for the dinner meal, so prices are a bit more but that's not the real problem. We went around 6:30 pm on July 3rd. I paid the cashier for two senior meals and two drinks. Cashier wasn't very friendly and didn't give me my change. It was only about 72 cents but I thought that was sketchy and rude. When we got to our table, we had to flag a person down to get our silverware. Food was similar to the lunch menu we had during our previous visit. However, the iceberg lettuce at the salad bar didn't look as fresh. The dinner meal is supposed to come with steaks to order, but nobody was grilling steaks and nobody was at the carving station for the other meats. There's no advantage getting the dinner meal if they can't deliver on promised steaks. The bathroom didn't look as clean this time. Sinks looked sloppy and stuff was on the floor. Overall, my impression this time around was they were really disorganized. Nothing seemed prepared and employees just were going through the motions. The crowd this time around didn't seem any more than the last time we went but the service was lacking. I give it three stars but I'm not sure if I would go again. They need to have the dinner menu, with steaks ready, since that's what people are paying for. I'm really dissatisfied and feel a little let down since the first visit went so well. read more

I was looking forward to eating there because I love vegetables and their salad bar is so good and there's steamed vegetables always on point usually when I travel I make a point to eat at a Golden corral at least once I love eating for breakfast but I always seem to miss it LOL I was very disappointed in this location! although the inside was very nice and up-to-date and clean and the staff was doing their best to clean up the tables. given it was 7:45 when I arrived I was disappointed in the food options I like my steak medium and I didn't have any and he said he wasn't going to be making anymore no big loss because the steaks not one of my favorites there anyways. but I was kind of surprised that I couldn't have a piece to go with my salad. that was not the worst of it though! the worst was the temperature of 9 out of 10 items that I put on my plates I don't know if it was because they turned off the steam table because they were closing or getting ready to close but a lot of the items in fact more than what should have been at correct temperatures was cold.. I mentioned it to the waiter he said he would say something to the manager she was too busy making her own food to go and overheard the conversation and did not even feel that it was appropriate to address me in any way when she looked directly at me! I do realize that it is Golden corral and it was only 14 dollars so you must get what you pay for it that location! the young man who waited on me he was very nice so was the other lady who was in the section they pretty much removed most of the dessert options and when I asked if they were bringing more stuff out she says it's too close to closing time I did notice on the steam table that there were some items that were on there twice and the regular selection that is usually offered was not there. it was a sad experience and if I'm back in Dayton I'm not sure that I would eat at this location again I would definitely take a walk through and maybe even sample something to see if the food is hot and better quality than what I had last time.. there was another couple who were not satisfied with the food or the options when they asked the same young man he said he would sit in the manager over she never came even though she looked again right at them babe I tried to approach her and she said I'll be right back with you that's the last time I saw her that's the last time I'm sure they saw her! I understand that this is not a five-star restaurant and it is Golden corral but I must say the one in my town and the one in Chattanooga that I eat at all the time when I travel it's a 10 out of 10 this one I can't even really rate without sounding totally negative.. let's hope that other people did not experience what myself in the older couple experience let's give the restaurant a benefit of the doubt and say maybe it was a busy Thursday night for the. if you are dining here I recommend you taking a look at the buffet before you pay and if it is cold and you are not satisfied you don't let the manager just disappear voice your opinion then you don't have to turn to social media. read more

Look, when it comes to buffets, it doesn't get much better than the Golden Corral. First off, if you don't want to cook for thanksgiving, this is probably the best place to get a thanksgiving dinner at. The mash potatoes are on point, doesn't even need gravy. The sweet potatoes, green been casserole and stuffing are to die for. The turkey is good, prefer the turkey they carve in front of you than the pre-carved turkey. Very, very subpar lunch today at the Golden Corral. This is the first time I've been to GC in about 20 years and now I know why I've stayed away for so long. We got there about a half an hour before the 1 PM discounted time so I expected very few people to be there and it was really quite crowded on a Friday The cleanliness of the restaurant leave a lot to be desired all of the food that I tried was extremely low quality not up to temperature and just all around sad experience to be honest with you I am a picky eater, but this place just needs to do a better job with recipes the quality of the food, keeping the food out on the line at the proper temperature and a whole bunch of other things The gentleman who was our waiter, kept our table cleared off, replacement drinks, and everything quite well, which is why you're getting two stars instead of just one star My Advice... just stay away and spend your hard earned money at a regular restaurant. I use to go 4 times a month to eat at the Miller Ln, Dayton Ohio location, now only 4 to 6 times a year due to changes in food quality for certain recipes. Golden Corral has changed their recipe for Mac and Cheese. It is now a runny milk soup. My favorite item has now been ruined. Way too much milk. Two years ago it was great and in 2025 they changed the recipe. Bland and milky. A cheese sauce with a Roex needs to be made so it taste like a baked Mac and Cheese (use some pepper, and spices in it also). Its not hard to make a proper cheese sauce and pour it over pasta and put in a oven for 15 to 30 minutes to help the milks sugars develop. I only go to their lunch. Even adding a 1/3 or 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese to it in the restaurant does help it; too much milk that wasn't given enough time to cook with proper amounts of butter and flour with spices like pepper, little bit of Cajun or dried mustard. read more

I can't believe ppl do not realize what they are truly eating here. Try going back and checking out the kitchen it's absolutely filthy and they rinse their dishes in dirty water. I almost fell numerous times while working there because of it. They also kept their meats out in the back on carts and they would have it there for hours. I haven't eaten at a all you can eat buffet in awhile, because not many still exist. But when I have the opportunity I still enjoy a good buffet. I must say this location was a nice one to visit as the service was very good, and they kept the buffet stocked with all the goodies. Our waiter was really good as we didn't have to ask for refills, and he also continued to check on us to see if everything was OK. It just feel good to still find a good buffet around. I don't know, but this could be a great idea. Golden corral is a perfect place for dining. The only problem I have with it is the children are allowed to fix their own food. It would be better today if a place like that had servers that can serve food to the public that's more jobs and also there would be no waste of food since it's all you can eat you have servers they could bring their tickets out the second time third time all you can eat with your tickets. I've been to Golden Corral on Miller several times due to its proximity to the Residents Inn by Marriott. In today's bidenomics, you can't go wrong with the Sr Early Bird Special for $8,99 which includes the All you can eat buffett, a drink, and desert. About what you'd pay for an inexpensive dinner without drink or dessert. I always ask what station Ruth is in. Once Ruth called in sick and Trisha took care of us. She did a great job too. Both were friendly, caring and attentive. Ruth did seem to take a little more interest in me as a customer. Both made me feel welcome. Some favorite dishes were pot roast, meatloaf, fried fish with hush puppies, clam chowder, seafood salad, the salad bar was good some that were OK was the turnip greens okra mashed potatoes and the green beans. The corn seemed undercooked and a bit hard for my personal tast. There were too few sugar free or diabetic friendly items. I did cheat and had a piece of fudge one day, which I loved. One day I had a small slice of coconut pie, loved it too. One day I made a Ice-cream Sundae. Ruth Trisha and others kept the place clean and worked tirelessly in doing so. The food was fresh and of good quality. This location is clean and the service is pretty cool. I would've given them 5 stars if it weren't for the weak coffee....I need my coffee regular. I hear several people ask about shite meat chicken as there was only dark. When I saw them filling the chicken, I went up. Only dark meat was being put out. I hadn't been to a Golden Corral in years. And the last time I went to one, it wasn't a positive experience because they weren't keeping the food fresh or even refilling empty stations. But last night we decided to give it a try for their free military meal - two days after Veterans Day, a Monday night from 5-9p. I knew it would be crowded, so we arrived at 4:40p. The lines were already out the door, but not quite as awful as I expected. And it did consistently move forward, even as the tables began to fill. Once we got inside, there was a table in front of the register run by to two vets who were checking for military IDs. Once they confirmed you had one, then they have you a sticker. That sticker let the person at the counter know to count your meal as free. I mention this process only because the person behind me claimed this location had never actually checked for IDs in the past. But they obviously do now. After paying for my meal, we were seated right away. Which surprised me considering that we were a party of six. Of course the buffet was busy and it was challenging to simply walk from one end to the other. But this place was obviously prepared for the crowds, because all the food was out and refreshed constantly. And even more impressive was the table service. We constantly had someone coming by to clear or to offer refill on drinks. And they all did it with a smile! It was amazing! I didn't feel like anyone there was grumpy about the large crowd, but like they were truly happy to have us there. What a good feeling. I was most impressed by the full salad bar, the delicious smoked and pulled chicken and the very sweet and fresh strawberries! I think my husband enjoyed a little bit of everything. And if you have kids, I don't think you'll have any trouble finding something. My 14-month-old was very pleased with the tender meat, the baked potato and the fresh fruit. I will give you a heads up about two things. Number one, if you want to call in advance about anything just be warned that you might actually get a busy signal. First let me start by saying the area that I seated myself in, a few seconds later I was greeted by a beautiful, smiling, and very clean server name Linda. The service was great.
