Our first time here for the best girl dinner. Double espresso martini and a classic caesar salad. Dane took good care of us.

Every aspect of our dining experience was absolutely the tops. Ambiance is classic fine dining; the lights are very low giving a romantic and a high class feel. High overhead are small round ceiling lights throwing just enough illumination. The staff are obviously well trained and strongly focused on the customer's satisfaction. This was noted from the hostess through the busboy. We were served by a great pair of waiters, Andrew and Noah. They were well dressed, well groomed, articulate, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. They were gentlemanly. We started with the roasted Brie app which was an excellent first course. The warm melty cheese was perfectly accented with a spicy fruit chutney and chopped roasted garlic. It was just the right size for two. We came on a Thursday. First night of prime rib and we both went for it. So tender, so flavorful, it was herb crusted which only added to the taste sensation. I couldn't decide on raw or cream horseradish so I got both. Chose a Ceasar salad which includes on request a generous portion of anchovies, like a Caesar should. And no extra charge. On that subject, prices were definitely reasonable for this quality at a fine steak house. We glimpsed the bar on the way out, looked very appealing. Next time! It's right off the main road with a private parking lot. Nice little outdoor dining area too. Looking forward to another visit.

Went here with brother who's been longtime fan. The darkness of interior took a couple minutes to adjust to but ok. Found the booth comfy. Server Amanda was friendly and helpful with choices. We both chose the prime rib and selected med rare over med at her suggestion but decided would go with the med well in future as could've cooked another few minutes to us. But it's rarely an easy choice for diners on the fence btw those two. I had to not the cut and quality were perfect, and liberal horseradish and au jus made it 5 star. I absolutely loved the classic wedge side and au gratin potatoes. We appreciated the mgr checking on us also. I disagree with other diners' comments that decor in need of redo or update. For one thing, it's too dark to be noticeable but I was fine with design era. I would easily go back.

I came here with my in-laws, and we had a charming time! We didn't choose the place but were still satisfied with the service and food. It was slow considering that we came on a weekend night. This made our experience much more contoured, and we could track down the server less than my in-laws said they usually had to when they visited here. We should consider that a win, but our server was fine and pleasant. He was attentive and gave great recommendations. Regarding dress attire, this place had white-cloth vibes, but the clientele was wearing jeans and t-shirts while others, like us, were dressed for the occasion. Anything is a go for here as long as you have the cash to spend to enjoy a dinner here. Prices are reasonable for what they are offering and the quality of food. Like I said previously, the food was good. My mother-in-law complained that her potatoes were too salty for her taste, but I feel like she says that most days. We did not have any issues with our potatoes or meat entrees. We liked everything we had. Overall, this place is decent. I could see where it could have better days than others, but I recommend that people enjoy it if they want a steakhouse to check out between Dayton and Middletown.

Good food for the money. When I don't want to spend the $ for 5 stars, but cooking is out of the question, I eat here.

It was a great Thanksgiving dinner and the ambience was very nice as well. I was really impressed with how hard the bus boys were working.

The menu rotates roughly every quarter, and given the use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, the selection is a bit limited -- handful of vegetarian small plates, a few meat and a few seafood options. For the non-drinkers, they had two non-alcoholic cocktails available, but no NA beer. Beware though, as the NA cocktails were still around $11, which I always find frustrating as they are basically flavored sugar water. We tried the blackhawk beef burger and koji-aged ribeye. The blackhawk burger was a smash burger (thin patties, melted cheese), that tasted delicious. The ribeye was just as expected and cooked as ordered. The star of each of the entrees, however, was the thin cut, crispy fries. Good thing the fries were delicious because the sauces that came with it were quite bland -- would've preferred ketchup. For dessert we tried the bay leaf cheesecake. It was alright, had a subtle smokey flavor that I think threw us off a bit (although that was obviously the point given the bay leaf). Our server Renee was friendly and everything was prompt. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and the food was pretty good. Although, given the limited number of options on the menu, you'll definitely want to look at it ahead of time to make sure there is something that suits your palate.

The moment we stepped in, the modern aesthetic hit perfectly - clean lines, mood lighting, and just enough buzz to feel energetic without drowning out conversation. Our family gathering was greeted immediately by staff who seemed genuinely stoked to have us there. Major points for making a large group feel welcome! The menu is refreshingly concise - none of that overwhelming novel-length situation that makes you second-guess yourself three times. Their drink selection strikes that perfect balance too - enough variety in wines/beers/cocktails to satisfy everyone. They've got some non-alcoholic options as well. We started with the Kimchi Pancake and Brussels Sprouts for the table. Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about the pancake (kimchi can be hit or miss for me), but this was a revelation. The kimchi flavor was present but not overwhelming - just enough kick that played perfectly with the shiso and wasabi remoulade. And those Brussels? It's packed with flavor and disappeared in approximately 3.5 seconds... Maybe less! For my main course, went with my cousin's recommendation - the Koji Aged Ribeye. When it arrived I initially thought "that's it?" But this steak is deceptive. The thick cut topped with Togarashi Butter was significantly more filling than it looked. Cooked to absolute perfection, and that butter situation on top? A flavor bomb of sweet-spicy-savory that had me contemplating licking the plate - don't worry, I didn't! My taste buds were begging for more even when my stomach waved the white flag. That's when you know it's good. If you're anywhere near downtown Dayton, make Jollity a priority stop. Not sure when I'll be back in Ohio again, but would definitely have this resto on my return list.

I loved the old school supper club vibes -- low lighting, dark wood interior. Our server left a bit to be desired. She wasn't particularly engaged or helpful, and I had to ask her if I could provide my allergen information when placing our order because she didn't ask. I also had to ask for my horseradish sauce that I ordered when my entree arrived. I ordered my prime rib medium rare and it was more on the rare side, but not so much that I sent it back. There is a ton of food with each entree -- salad, sides, rolls. I loved the dill ranch dressing on the salad and would have taken a bottle of that to go. Server was agreeable about splitting the check a few ways, which was helpful. Overall, I can see the appeal as a Dayton institution, but this wouldn't be my first choice for a dinner out if I'm back in the area.

Well....I WISH I'd have been able to visit the Paragon Supper Club…read more Unfortunately, their SERVICE is sorely lacking. Darling wifey & I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We've eaten at the Pine Club, the Oakwood Club, and when our son asked where we'd like to try, we told him "Paragon." So.....he contacted them (from his home in Washington, DC), and asked if he could purchase a gift certificate as an anniversary gift. Paragon's response exemplified customer disservice. The employee with whom he spoke told him "they only do gift certificates in person." Riiiiiight.... :-( [I'm channeling Shelley Berman's skit "The Morning After the Night Before]. When he asked if he might just give Paragon his credit card info to charge our anniversary dinner against, he was told "call earlier on a weekday to see if they could do that." NOPE NOPE NOPE. Instead, he EASILY obtained a gift certificate for us to the Oakwood Club, which we received via email last night. I guess we're returning to the Oakwood Club, where true customer service is provided.
