Tonight was just not very good, wife ordered parmigiana chicken, sister in law had ribs bother in law had ribs and chicken and I had a sirloin steak. I asked for no butter on my steak when the waitress came back with salads I mentioned please NO butter on my steak she said she told the kitchen. Our food came out and butter was all over my steak I waited for the server to come over as she didn't bring out the food. She finally came over and I mentioned I wanted no butter and she just says oh I'm sorry never said I'll take it back so I asked for napkins to soak up the butter but the steak was still greasy the Mac n cheese was semi warm as was the corn. TL;DR -- friendly staff, but the worst steak I've ever experienced in my lifetime, bar none. Waiter was friendly and respectful. Unfortunately, he brought my father and I the two worst ribeye steaks we have ever eaten. Very tough and stringy. We strongly suspected they had either been frozen or taken from a low quality source. After a couple bites we had to ask the waiter to bring the manager over. Manager offered to bring new steaks, but we declined, citing a lack of confidence in their meat. Gave us 10% off the steaks. Not out here trying to harvest free meals, but you'd expect the steaks to be comp'ed if a customer can't eat more than a couple bites and isn't up for a replacement. Will never, ever, ever in 1,000 years go back here. I'm never going to gamble my money on whether they've figured out how to cook steak. Every time we drive by we joke about how terrible the steaks were. read more

The service was horrendous and the food was terrible. 1 person didn't get to eat because their medium steak was beyond well done and given back. A 2nd person only received part of her food and a 3rd person asked for dessert and had to wait 25 minutes for a piece of cake w/ice-cream. Getting a second bread or drink refills was out of the question. Absolutely no apologies or visit from the manager, just a check to pay $130 for poor service and terrible food. read more

Three coworkers and I stopped in for lunch on Tuesday. We each had a drink or two from the bar, a round of waters, two appetizers to share and each got some variation of a steak entree. I had the 6oz filet which was cooked as ordered and delicious. My favorite appetizer, the spicy chicken bites, were delicious as always. The service we received from the female server (forgot her name unfortunately) was excellent. She was professional, friendly and efficient. Probably one of the best restaurant servers I have had in a while to be honest. We all got separate checks which didn't seem to bother the server or cause too much difficulty. This location has drastically improved over the last few years. It's good to have an affordable steak place close by. I really like the salmon with brocolli. The bread is good but not like Texas Roadhouse with that honey butter. The place is usually clean and quiet which is good for a chain. Service has been hit or miss. For my meal I ordered the 12 ounce ribeye, 4 grilled shrimp/with rice and the Steakhouse macaroni and cheese (paid extra). My fare was served in a decent amount of time. The ribeye was thinner then I expected but it was cooked to the temperate I requested. I thought the ribeye and shrimp were over saturated with butter. The Steakhouse Mac and cheese was ok. I was surprised at the quality of the food for the price which was very reasonable. Bobby the trainee manager came by for a chat and he had the 3 A's for success agreeable, able and available and will be a manager in no time flat. We sat at a table in the bar area and had great service on a weeknight. The burger with the shaved prime rib on it is the bomb, and personally I think its the best thing on the menu. While the steaks are decent, this burger takes it for me. My favorite appetizer is the wild west shrimp with the peppers and jalapenos. I get it every time. Our sever even brought us out some extra paper napkins, as the cloth ones don't always cut it. I asked for an extra side of the BBQ sauce, and it came out with the meal. That doesn't always happen at alot of places. This was my first experience at this Longhorns location, but it was a good one. Appetizer was great, sides were "meh", the asparagus was not steamed per the menu, they were raw but hot. I order the outlaw ribeye, religiously. It's my favorite of any steak almost any restaurant. Longhorn is my go-to for that craving. Last time a few days ago was very disappointing. It was cooked beyond my request, hard, grissel that I've never seen in any steak at Longhorn before. I had dinner on the 21st of December 2019 and right from the beginning it was a success. I was greeted warmly when I walked in the door and was seated immediately. My Wife had a peach sangria that turned out to be in her words "Tasty and Refreshing" The restaurant itself was clean and quiet, no loud music, no screaming kids and no dancing servers (thank you LongHorn). Let's get on to the best part, The STEAK! I ordered the 6oz Renegade Sirloin with a loaded baked potato and a side salad. Let's start with the salad... PERFECT! The salad was FRESH! crisp lettuce, tomato, onion with a proper blue cheese dressing. The potato was piping hot and perfectly cooked with the perfect ratio of butter, sour cream, and cheese. My husband & I ate at the LongHorn Steakhouse tonight. Our waiter was awesome & very attentive (Josh was his name). I ordered the Parmesan crusted Chicken. It was very good & very moist - however it was Super Salty. Not sure if it was just the melted cheese that was on the chicken but I believe it had additional seasoning on it! I could only eat about half. I also added the strawberry salad which was excellent, however the dressing was very tart & there was way too much of it on the salad. We enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere but I was not that impressed this time with my meal. I think they should use less seasoning on their food! read more

We ordered carry out which is always a risk at a chain steak restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered 2 steaks w/sides and salads. Side salads were fresh, and surprisingly large. Dressing was delicious, both the blue cheese and Caesar tasted homemade. Both steaks were a perfect medium rare, and very well seasoned. They were out of baked potatoes but the fries were great. The asparagus was amazing. The lemon butter seasoning was light and delicious and the asparagus was so well prepared that it was a highlight of the meal even after a 20 minute car ride. My daughter and I went a few weeks ago and ordered filet and lobster. I got filet and lobster and it was cooked perfectly. My daughter got the lobster as ordered but she ordered filet but instead got sirloin. We know the difference. The manager preceded to argue that she knew the difference and that she was standing by that. We even told her that we were satisfied with our meal but that we knew it was not the filet we were willing to pay for bit a sirloin. She continued to argue with us about it so we will not go back. So we went here with a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids). They started off well and took the kid orders quickly because they were hungry and we wanted to look at the menu. I'll say that it seemed a smidge long for the food to come out but I wasn't timing it or anything. Kid food came out. Cheeseburgers and by request added grilled onions. I had a bite and they were pretty tasty. We had the "porterhouse for 2", a big ol' porterhouse with 2 salads and 2 sides for $40. The salads were fine (just normal salads). We ordered the steak medium-rare but it came out well-done. I hated bringing it up and wasting about 2 lbs of meat but it was bad. They apologized and brought out another one that was cooked perfect. A couple people came out to apologize (including the manager). They offered us a free dessert for our troubles and so we got the chocolate stampede (pretty darn good). All-in-all we were pleased. Everyone was nice, food was good, price was reasonable. I just hope they don't fall into the Southern Maryland trap: after the luster of the new opening is over, the service gets worse. read more

I've lived in St. Mary's County for 5 years now and I've tried Longhorn 4 times and 3 of the 4 has been downright disgraceful. The service is extremely poor and the wait staff seem to be oblivious to customers! We arrived st Longhorn and waited 7 minutes for someone to greet us. Once greeted it took another 5 minutes for the waitress to figure out where she was going to seat us in the nearly empty restaurant where there were only 4 other people at 2 tables! When we were escorted to our table the table was dirty and I had to ask the waitress to wipe down the table. At this point we are beyond annoyed and decided to leave. As we were walking out I noticed that there were several tables that needed to be cleaned. The restaurant is beautiful but the service is abhorrent.
