Really a local's place in SOMD. It literally is down gravel road located in a marina. Caution if riding your motorcycle there as the road is somewhat in questionable shape. Don't seat yourself. One of the folks working g there will greet you and seat you. We usually sit outside during the warm months and sit inside by the window in the cooler months. We usually get the Chesapeake Bennie. It has lump crab on it. Home fries as a side. They do have Bloody Marys and mimosas available if you want to class it up for brunch. Hand written tickets and pretty good local vibe. Recommended while in Solomons Island area. You gotta travel up by the Ruddy Duck to get there. Don't go to Solomons Island pathway unless you have a boat or paddle board. read more

Updating my review since we've been several times since our first visit and have tried other menu items. Lately I've been ordering the Harbor Salad and the Caribbean corn as a side. The jerk chicken that comes in the salad reminds me of authentic Jamaican jerk. The Caribbean corn has become my new favorite item, it reminds me of street corn from Mexico but with a jerk style seasoning. My husband and I also enjoy the deviled eggs, avocado crab salad and conch fritters. Today my husband tried the Cuban Reuben and said it was delicious. The homemade chips they serve are awesome. The staff is wonderful, and everyone is so nice. Today our server gave us some recommendations to try on our next visit. For cocktails I'm a fan of their Bloody Mary but my husband raves about the key lime crush. Another great thing about this place is how affordable it is. It doesn't look like much on the outside but it's easily one of the best restaurants in SoMd. I recommend sitting outside for the view. read more

Another great find on Yelp! After a morning of exploration at Solomon's Island, we headed out to grab some lunch. Originally, my sister-in-law wanted to take us to one of her go-to spots, but she overlooked the hours and we arrived to an empty parking lot. Turned out that they only opened for dinner that day. Jumped on Yelp and it found us Hidden Harbour that was nearby. The restaurant located in Calvert Marina. It really is hidden, so just hang tight until your GPS brings you there. You'll see a pool to the left by the parking lot and the restaurant by the water. - Parking - Private lot. - Vibe - There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but there is limited seating indoors. I took a peek inside and a family was seated there already and there would have been no room for our party of 7 to sit together. I highly recommend the outdoor seating anyway, because most of the tables are on their deck, equipped with a parasol umbrella and the views are spectacular looking out at the water with all the boats on the marina. - TLC - We had an older lady who was trying her best to keep us happy while we waited for a table. She took our drink orders and even offered to take our food orders while we waited. She came to check on us often and was especially nice to our kids. - Eats/Refreshments - My SIL and I share the love of food and she makes a great dining partner. She wanted to try a couple of things as well, so we decided to share our meals. Jerk Shrimp App - The shrimps were cooked nicely and the flavor was surprisingly jerk-y for a non Jamaican/Caribbean restaurant. It was fantastic, served with a side of cocktail sauce. It was a good portion for the price and our kids stole a couple of pieces and seemed to enjoy them as well. Admiral's Club - We were immediately drawn to this sandwich because listen to this...it had a crab cake, shrimp salad, bacon, lettuce and tomato on a potato bun. Yes, please! It was a great combo of the cake and salad and what isn't good with bacon? The lettuce and tomato added a fresh element. The only thing I was disappointed with is the size of the crab cake. I just expected it to be a puck size like most places being in Maryland and all, known for their blue crabs, but that might be just me getting greedy. My niece who is almost 12, ordered a customized burger on a pretzel bun. This burger has a 9oz patty and she devoured all of it! My husband had one of their burgers and seemed to be satisfied. - Kiddos - Mac and Cheese with Fries - They use shell noodles for their Mac and it tasted more like cheese sauce than cheese, but no complaints from my Little One. Served with a side of french fries and a pickle. Chicken Tenders with Fries - The tenders were nice and crispy, served with a side of fries also. - Heads Up - There are no bathrooms at the restaurant. You have to walk over to the parking lot and into the pool house, which was kept pretty clean. The temps have been pretty high up here this week, but it turned out to be a nice hot day, but not as humid to eat outside and Hidden Harbour was a great find to do just that! read more

Ok the server Kiki was great!!! Majority of food was great,the drinks was outstanding!!!! All that I had a problem with is I ordered a burger with no provolone cheese, but instead american and I recieved provolone cheese ,the waitress said I told them American, so because I cannot eat provolone I sent it back!! It returned with the burger turned over and the cheese scraped off with some, traces of provolone my burger,my bun was squashed like they had step on it. The bottom of my bun was soggy!! I Ask for the burger to be removed from my bill after buying $130 worth of food! Which that shouldn't matter they only offered to take $2 off ,the manager said if I want to speak to her it would be 1hr wait which is crazy not good buissness at all !!! If a customer is not satisfied it should be corrected by u just telling the server to take it off !!! The burger should have been recooked and the bun should not been smashed!! And wet at the bottom!!! It just put a bad taste in my sprit!! I won't be back!! I usually take pics but I just needed to leave!! This is a great place t goto from land or by boat, not a large eating area but very nice and you get to sit out of the sun under a huge shade tree. I had the Island burger with the spam on it kind of gave it a sausage flavor the sandwich also came with onion rings and bbq sauce and chips. Make sure you get the HoBo beans they are wonderful kind of have a little sweet taste with a little chili flavor but they are very good. also had the Harbor burger and Cuban Ruben that was good as well. read more

Really cute women run place on the water view right beside the piers at a quiet marina in Solomon's island area. The food is great, tasty breakfast with food prepared with care. The service is wonderful, a shout out to the ladies. We loved our tasty crab Benedict, breakfast plate with pancakes,crisp hash browns, tasty fennel sausages and eggs with pulpy orange juice. Great Location and nice menu. BUT 45 minutes awaiting appetizers of chips and deviled eggs is a JOKE. Especially since it's 2pm and its a slow Saturday. Then our sandwiches are another 15 minutes. AND since they scratch make Everything then you should expect a slower pace, enjoy the water. The catfish Po Boy was one of the best I have had in the US. The eggs and chips are also rocking. The outdoor seating area was really relaxing. However the persistency of the flies is extremely irritating. Not to mention the service is slow. Food was ok. They ran out of everything, substituted fried potatoes for tater tots. However my 1 star rating is attributed to the managers response to the waitress's mistake in the distribution of our omelettes. The waitress mistakenly gave my husband's veggie omelette to my son who had an all meat omelette. Thank GOD neither had a food allergy. When we informed the manager her response was..."well you can't just switch it?"After they had already eaten into it. You can't tell what omelette is what, until you get bite into it. At that point I was over it. That's not sanitary if you ask me. Finally it was a big disparity between the treatment of 'us', versus their white customers. I wish I could review the food, but unfortunately, we were unable to get any. It's a cute enough place back off the road. It's very small with most if the seating outside. The view is lovely. We got seated right away and the waitress told us that she would not be our waitress, but that another would be right out. Fifteen minutes later, having seen no other waitress, we asked the first waitress if we could at least get coffee while we waited. She explained that the other waitress was insider packing up desserts for another customer (even though it was 9:30 AM). We patiently waited when we saw the second waitress finally come out and immediately go to service people who had just been seated. Five minutes later, the first waitress who said she was NOT our waitress then came back to take our order as we were about to call it quits and leave. We went ahead and ordered and finally got coffee! Alas, she brought coffeemate artificial creamer (a devilish elixer for humans!). I asked if they had any real creamer. She said no. It was the final straw. We might not have left just for the fact that they had no real creamer, which is typically the kiss of death for a reasonably good restaurant, but it was the final nail in the coffin after we had not been serviced for now over 20 minutes on our beautiful Saturday. Yelp needs to update the dot location. I've put in my correction. Take Downy road all the way towards the water. You'll see a sign for the Marina along with a sign for Hidden Harbor. You'll go over some hidden speed bumps and a gravel road before you see the sign. It's worth the "effort." I'll be honest, I was a little nervous heading into this as I was responsible for finding our breakfast spot. The menu is limited but extremely satisfying! I don't drink coffee but two of my companions do, they were impressed by the coffee and how delicious it was. I had the eggs Benedict with lump crab meat. Everything was cooked to perfection. The sauce was not swimming on my plate, nothing was greasy, I wish I could have eaten it all. The potatoes were left behind as I was too full. We were the only ones there for about 20 min. It quickly filled up and before we left, there were people waiting. Customer Service was fantastic and it was well worth the search! read more

Found this place randomly on Yelp while looking for an early Sunday breakfast spot. Was a little weird to get to as it is located towards the end of the inlet. Would be great to arrive on by boat! Overall, they are open early, service is fantastic, food is delicious, prices are reasonable,and atmosphere is beautiful. It was a great place to hang out and eat with friends. We sat outside on the deck but the inside was very quaint and cute. I had the fried bologna egg sandwich. It was delicious and could eat that every day. Thick pieces of meat with a fried egg and American cheese on toasted white bread. It also came with homefries. I think total it was around $10. Well worth it. Friends that live in the area learned of this place and will frequent now. I will certainly return when back in town. read more

So, I wanted to take my 81 year old mom out to lunch and Ruddy Duck was closed so I decided to try Hidden Harbor which was just down the street from there. We arrived and had a hard time entering the establishment. I didn't notice the employee only sign on the door closest to what appeared to be an entrance and we were reprimanded for it so we went to the actual entrance and entered the restaurant. We had to move a chair to get my moms walker into the sit down area but we managed. We ordered two cokes and the appetizer of avocado and shrimp salad for a light lunch. We waited 30 minutes for something that required no cooking. Our waitress came to check on us about 15 minutes into the waiting period. I told her we were fine but just waiting for our food which required no cooking and was an appetizer. 15 minutes later (so we waited 30 minutes) another older lady with curly hair brought our food out and told me "we don't bring food out of order just because it's easy." First of all, it was an appetizer! Second it was our first time there, trying to bring business to a small business in the community. We were the only two people in the dining room waiting for our food. This was the most rude experience I ever had for a small local business! I'm never going there again! The cost for two avocados stuffed with shrimp salad and two cokes (brought to us in cans with a solo cup of ice) was almost $60! Are you freaking kidding me! They clearly had their "regulars" on boats ordering take out and could've cared less about two little old ladies just trying something new! read more

We're visiting for the weekend from out of town and loved the atmosphere of Hidden Harbour, it's right on the water and low key. Limited seating inside and out but we felt right at home. I LOVED the biscuits and gravy & will be dreaming of that dish for quite awhile; YUM! We had trouble finding the place at first b/c our GPS directions took us to the beginning of the marina and said you've reached your destination, when actually Hidden Harbour is at the end of the marina. This is a small place with a few tables inside but on the covered deck overlooking the marina there are several long picnic tables and benches. The food is homemade and oh, so good. This is a quaint gem tucked away along the Back Creek just off the Patuxent River. The food is traditional American cuisine made well. We enjoyed breakfast here this morning. My husband had the pancakes while I had the chipped beef with potatoes. Portions are on the smaller side so don't expect to take anything away with you. As for flavor... the potatoes were seasoned just right and the chipped beef had a slight hint of caraway. I'm not one to eat breakfast potatoes as usually they are too greasy and not a flavor of my liking but... If you go to Hidden Harbor, make sure to get the potatoes! I ate all of mine they were so good. As the food is not something unique, I will say the the reason to come is for the beautiful setting.
