More often than not, this restaurant has an unpleasant smell when you walk in--honestly, like a dirty, wet rag. The last time I visited, I was with my 89-year-old mother, who uses a walker and is hard of hearing. I asked the hostess if we could sit in a booth toward the back where it would be quieter and easier for my mom to hear. She told me they had a large party and couldn't accommodate us there, but said she would see what she could do. She then seated four or five other parties while we continued to wait. After about 10 minutes, I asked for an update. At that point, she told me she was waiting for another table to clear and that it would be approximately another 20 minutes. When I asked why she hadn't told us that from the beginning, she argued that she had. What bothered me most wasn't the wait--it was the complete lack of consideration or concern, particularly given my mother's age and mobility issues. The hostess was dismissive and unnecessarily argumentative rather than simply apologizing for the misunderstanding or trying to help. We finally left and went to Outback in Conyers, where we received impeccable service and were treated with kindness and consideration. Update at the end.... Do not order takeout from the Iris drive location, drive to the one in Covington instead. I've ordered several times for reference. They will forget your items or you have to wait for a refund because online will say they have it and then when you get there, they don't. More recently as of today, they were missing my spinach dip, the waitress checked my bag and saw it wasn't in the bag, she said she would be back. i waited and then another gent came out to check my bag AGAIN. So when he saw it wasn't in there, I had to wait AGAIN for them to bring it, meanwhile my food is getting cold! and I left a TIP. Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with an experience I had at your LongHorn Steakhouse in Conyers, GA, where I have been a loyal customer for over 25 years. I have also visited other locations in GA and around the U.S. This visit was, without question, the worst experience I have ever encountered at your establishment. Upon arrival, my guest and I waited approximately 10 minutes before being greeted by our server (Anita) once seated. The location did not have a wait when we arrived as a point of reference to business. We arrived just before the rush. While this was already concerning, the situation escalated significantly from that point forward. Both of our meals (Salads) were ordered, and when they arrived, my salad was incomplete, missing multiple key ingredients. After waiting an additional 10 minutes for the server to return (now 1 hr 10 mins after being seated), I informed her of the issue. No proactive solution was offered, and I had to request a manager (Shelby). When the manager arrived, there was a complete lack of empathy or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. The salad was sent back for a remake; however, no urgency followed. At this point, the experience deteriorated further: My guest completed their entire meal and their plate was cleared from the table. I remained without food. (Now 1 hr and 48 mins after seating) We watched multiple guests who were seated after us receive their meals, dine, pay, and leave--while I continued waiting. Ultimately, the remake of my salad arrived approximately 2 hours after we were seated. At that point, the dining experience was no longer viable. I informed the server that I would not be eating the salad in the restaurant, given that my guest had already finished their meal. Rather than offering any form of resolution or acknowledgment, the server removed the salad and returned with the bill. I requested a manager again. The same lack of empathy persisted as I explained that I had now spent two hours in the restaurant without receiving a proper meal and that this experience did not warrant payment. (I remained calm this entire experience; no voices raised or dramatic scenes by anyone involved). Despite this, we were still required to pay for my guest's salad, and an attempt was made to have us pay for a half glass of sweet tea that I had consumed (this was not a refill): even though the overall dining experience was significantly compromised and I did not receive a meal at all. The manager's response remained dismissive, offering no apology, no ownership, and no meaningful resolution. Instead, I was asked if I wanted the same salad to-go, which had now been removed from the table and sitting for approximately 15 minutes somewhere in the restaurant. The salad was then brought back in a to-go container and placed on the table by the mannager without a word. The manager simply walked away. This restaurant has become known in the area to call the authorities when bad service is given and customers attempt to complain. At no point during this entire experience did I feel valued as a customer. This was not simply a service delay--it was a complete failure in: * Customer care * Communication * Problem resolution * Management accountability After 25 years of patronage, this experience was both disappointing and unacceptable. I am requesting: - A full review of this incident - Reimbursement for the charges incurred during this visit - Appropriate service recovery for the experience - Follow-up regarding how this situation will be addressed internally to prevent recurrence An image of how the salad was presented to me is enclosed. Although, I've been to this establishment before, it was on the weekend. The wait times were a little inflated then but this visit was on a week night. Despite there once again being a nice-sized crowd, we were sat in a reasonable amount of time. The service was prompt and thorough (quite business-like I might add). Then, the food was brought out in a timely manner as well (it was hot and good also). The trifecta was completed in the restaurant which is usually rare. Dined here on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Getting seated was a breeze. My husband and I both ordered the 7oz salmon with upgraded sides. The food arrived and looked amazing. Upon first bite of the vegetables we discovered everything was luke warm. We decided due to the time we'd work our way through it. When I tasted the star of the show, the salmon, it tasted rank/spoiled/funky. My husband's was the same. Called the server over and explained. My husband reordered ribs but I was brave and reordered the salmon. By the time the food arrived we had consumed everything else. The manager did come over and I explained the fish was 'funky' and invited her to try a piece. She apologized. I made a reservation for 7:00 pm, and after waiting 30 minutes we still had no table. The excuse given was that a table existed but there was no server. This shows a complete lack of understanding of what a reservation means. The manager clearly failed to manage the situation and should not be in a leadership role. Very disappointing experience at LongHorn in Conyers. We were told the wait was 50 minutes. After waiting and being seated at 9:42, no one came to take our order. When we asked if someone was coming, a rude employee said, "Who sat y'all here? The kitchen is closed." The waiter stated that she had been there since 11:00 AM and she wasnt doing nothing else tonight. As if it was our fault that we were never properly served but the waiter walked pass the table twice and said nothing. When we asked for the manager, we were told she wasn't coming and that the employee would "deal with it." The manager eventually came out but made no real effort to resolve the situation. This location in Georgia left a whole lot to be desired. I go to Longhorn all the time in New York, and I have been to that particular location in Georgia before. However, this time, they were not on point. My daughter had to ask where her chicken strips were and then when she got them. They were awful. My food was awful. All I got was a burger, and it made me nauseous. They were very busy that day. However, it should not have impacted the food that came to the table. My granddaughter got the Bang bang shrimp. She seemed to have enjoyed it. My grandson got the salmon, which he said was very good. My daughter asked for the macaroni and cheese without bacon. They brought her with the bacon, so they had to go back and do it again. There were just so many things that were not right on that day. And if that had been my first encounter with Longhorn, I would have never gone back. We had to remind the server that we ordered chicken strips because they never came out. I asked the server about her strips because they were not strips. Then I asked the server, "Would you serve this to your family?" He says," Oh yeah, I eat it like that all the time. " I knew he wasn't telling the truth? So we asked for it to be removed from the bill along with the sweet tea. She said it was awful. New Year's Day was my daughter's 27th birthday. So she decided to double date with her sister. They chose to go to this Longhorns for dinner. After their experience both my daughters called me separately to complain about their service. When they arrived, it was a wait....no problem. So a 15 minute wait turned into 30 minutes. My daughter went to see what was going on and long story short...the hostess had written the phone number down incorrectly. She should have verified the number when my daughter gave it. They finally get seated. They ordered appetizers and alcoholic beverages. Bread gets brought to the table with nothing to drink. So they ask for water until their drinks come. Erin was their waitress. Water never came at all. They continued to sit and wait. Drinks finally came.....still no appetizer or food. So time passed as they sat and conversed. They began to notice that people seated after them had gotten their food, ate and was leaving. They are still waiting. So they ask for a manager after waiting more than an hour. The manager comes and makes a plethora of excuses. After waiting 2 hours their food came, only to see that the orders were mixed up. My daughter's side of mac n chz was her sister's boyfriend's plate. In the end they only gave them 10% off of each ticket. So the birthday girl got 5 dollars off her ticket. Oh and they never even got to the birthday dessert because of the wretched service. I am writing the review about their experience because I AMTHAT MAMA! I always specify not to burn my salmon on the top. They burn it 95 percent of the time. I do not eat soot and have to scrape the top off. Rice comes with the 7 ounce salmon. I got no rice with my order on 12/3/25. Instead, they placed a baked potato in the order. The order had no rice even though you put a note saying rice is inside. There was beans instead of broccoli. Was in town for a family function and one of our family members wanted to get something that we were all very familiar with - such as Longhorn's. :o) It took a few minutes for the hostess to get to us, then we were informed that the wait would be about 20 minutes. We assumed that there must have been a staff shortage because it wasn't crowded at all and there were quite a few open tables. In any case, we were seated in about 10 minutes. We started with the stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious. I had salmon with a baked potato and a strawberry pecan salad (is listed as a side salad, but big enough to be an entree salad!); the other meals at the table included steak (Flo's Fillet and Renegade Sirloin), a bacon cheeseburger, broccoli, fries, and the mixed greens salad. The sweet potatoes were lukewarm, as were the broccoli, steaks, and fries. It took some time to get the order, so sending items back wasn't worth the wait. The best part of the meal was the appetizer and the salads. Maybe this was an off day, but probably won't visit again when back in the area. After putting our names on the waiting list for a table, we were informed that it would be an hour before we could be seated. However, the manager refused to allow us to wait in the lobby, citing concerns about reaching capacity. I pointed out that the empty lobby should be considered part of the capacity. It was a hot day, and asking senior citizens to wait in the sun was a serious lack of respect towards customers. I went to two different Longhorn locations in one night with the first location being in Covington. The Covington location is filthy with food under the table and bad order, like spoil food, so we decided to leave and go to another location which would be Conyers. The Conyers Longhorn location appeared clean and all was going well until we got our main entree served with a side of roach. If you don't mind eating with the roaches this would be the place to go. The staff seemed nonchalant as though this is the norm and the manager took awhile to come, giving the roach an ample amount of time to crawl off the table, on the wall and towards the kitchen. But get this, the server that was walking back and forth to the table with the family behind us was the the serverfor our table as well. The Server(Brandon) finally came to the table. NO suggestions NO drink menus NO customer service at all like we heard him give the table behnd us.We order our beverage and food. I had the worst experience at Longhorn in Conyers, GA. I ordered two orders of lamb chops. I did the curbside service because it's always packed and service be slow. My order was ready when it said it would be ready 30 mins. I got my order and briefly checked to make sure it was two orders in my bag. When I get home which is 15 minutes away, checked my food, I only had 4 lamb chops in one of the orders which should be 5 and one of them had been eaten off of only the bone was left. I called the restaurant right away and asked to speak to the manage Lea, she asked me to send her a picture, I did. She said she was sending me a gift card for the one dinner, I never received the gift card. That's fine, didn't expect it anyway. Somebody help this location please. Do yourself a favor and don't sit at the bar thinking you will get faster service. Maybe for your drink but your food will be left under the heat lamp to over cook by the time the bartender care to go get the food it will be over done and dry. I mean I get it the bartender is making drinks for the whole restaurant, so this really falls on management and the obvious lack of desire for people to work here shown through the short staff. The wait staff is really nice. The cleanliness needs improvement. I tolerated the sour smell from the carpet. The cleanliness: However, all the silverware was dirty too. It was as if the silverware wasn't washed but not even looked at. I am talking dried up food - completely unsanitary. Even after asking the hostess for clean silverware, her silverware in the front of the restaurant was also dirty. We resorted to plasticware and other customers put silverware in hot water. The food: The fried onion appetizer was overcooked. The restaurant was out of Firecracker shrimp and Salmon. It might have been a busy weekend. am very impressed with this Longhorn. I had a taste for steak so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Renegade 6oz well done and it good, but it had to be the smallest steak I've had EVER at any Longhorn My boyfriend had the Ribeye and said it was very tasty as well. The service was a little bit slow at first so my expectations were low, but Jill stepped in and turned it around. She was very polite, attentive, and patient which I greatly appreciated. I wanted a dessert but wasn't sure which so I took her recommendation to get the apple crisp (or whatever it's called) and although we were too full to finish it, it was really good. The social distancing in place made us feel very safe and all of the staff members wore masks. We will definitely be back, hopefully soon! read more
