I went to Pinches after seeing their name mentioned several times as the most authentic Mexican restaurant in town. I walked in to just try something quick merely because I was passing by and I'm hardly ever in the area. I ordered 1 steak taco and wish that I had ordered more after tasting it. I also ordered the Caldo Res beef soup to go. The amount of good quality beef in the soup and taco was amazing. It's a small space with dine in options. The street corn is worth the stop. It's so good. It wasn't too busy the evening I was in town. Parking is reasonable. It was nice and clean inside. It wasn't too busy. The customer service was alright. The food is good, especially for the area. The corn had the seasoning and the cheese, with a drizzle of the butter sauce. They were a good size. Ordered the steak tacos twice. Food was nice. Steak was fresh. Tacos were definitely very authentic. Found the tacos to be a little bland, even with the provided lemon and the sauce. Tortillas also lacked flavor. Price was about average. Atmosphere was quite nice. read more

Had lunch with my Pops and we choose Pinches. Pretty good choice! I had three steak tacos and Mexican corn and it was worth the try. My Pops had shrimp tacos and enjoyed them too. You should definitely try them out. read more

The BEST burrito I have ever had. Wonderful customer service and a nice inviting atmosphere. My boyfriend and I come here often because it's THAT GOOD! I really wanted to like this place because it's close to home but I didn't. My daughter went here and order Birria tacos without any onions. One Birria taco cost $5 and didn't include the consume. Usually in other restaurants you get 3-4 tacos consume included for about $15. Now let's get to the actual taste of the tacos. I will say it was seasoned but Birria tacos usually have a a somewhat crispy tortilla. These were just soggy. I also ordered my tacos without any onion but found onion pieces in my taco, which makes me think the area they make their food isn't clean and neat. I want to give this place another try and hopefully I can update this review! The lady at the front was still trying her best to take the order so I would say service was good. read more

Nestled on the outskirts of the heart of Covington, Pinches Taco Shack may be off the beating path but if you're from the area you are well aware of it. As the kids say, if you know you know. Pinches has a great variety of quality, well-made tacos seasoned to perfection as well as a host of other items. This might be controversial but Pinches is in close competition with the Conyers fav Bella Vista right up the road. This little dive is worth trying if you want your tastebuds to be wowed. read more

Wow! Love this new taco place! It's their only place around to get real Mexican street corn and awesome Ceviche and ice cold Horchata to wash it down! It doesn't look like much from the street, but once they bring out your food you will be in heaven! Everything is fresh, and nice sized portions! The food is good but far too overpriced! I paid $23 for 2 burritos and I'm still waiting on the carnitas to show up 2 days later. No grilled jalapenos or anything but a skinny burrito. Go to Belavistas in Conyers if you want real Mexican food! read more

I just wanna start off by saying I love supporting local owned businesses. But, I left feeling completely unsatisfied with my visit. The customer service is as great as always. They have very nice and attentive staff that always greets customers with a smile and for that I appreciate them. I went in today and was greeted with a sign that said they were going to do a price increase. Okay I understand that. Businesses have their highs and lows, whatever they can do to keep the staff taken care of. However, me and my husband ordered 2 burritos and 2 drinks and the total came out to $49 and some change. Usually their food is banging! Sometimes is can be a bit bland but overall decent food. But today something was super off. We ordered 2 carne asada burritos but when I took a close look, the meat was so fine it felt like I was eating grainy ground beef. Which is not what I was looking for at all. I did really like this place but it's definitely going downhill just like the other places on Washington street. I would love to support them for the future but if I'm paying 50$ for a smile and a terrible burrito, I simply can't see myself coming back. Hopefully they come back strong though! Before the price increase and the way our meals were looking and tasting, 50$ is absurd. I would have given them 4.5 stars just a few weeks ago. read more

Finally real Mexican Food! They know how to make some great tacos and burritos. It's tucked away but worth the find! I ate the birria taco plate special, made out of lamb.... WOW! So delicious! One of the best hidden GEMS in Covington! Me and my family eat monthly there, the prices are high that's why it's monthly for us...lol. The food is great hands down!! This place was recommended by a friend within days of their opening!!! Let's just say it was worth the recommendation everything was excellent! The cashier was very informative and gave us a run down of the menu to help narrow our decision. This will be added to one my local favorites to patronize frequently. Great New Mexican place. Nothing fancy, but food was excellent. We had the corn chowder with Baja Fish tacos, and Pinches Street tacos (chicken and carnitas). Will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. At the time we visits service was order at the counter and they brought food out. Like all places these days, they are a hand or two short, so bring your patience if it's busy- it they were very nice and helpful as can be. First of all let me start by saying how hard it is to find truly authentic Mexican food and how rare of the gem when you find one that literally makes you feel like your in California, Arizona, Texas, hell I thought I was in Mexico for a moment for real... I am a true connoisseur of all Mexican food and this place is amazing. High quality, super fresh, meat and vegetables that perfectly seasoned and just jumps of anyone's palate. For a brief moment, I forgot my own species. I forgot taxes. I forgot the electric fence incident of 2023. The aroma alone nearly made me levitate. The décor was immaculate. Colorful papel picado fluttered from the ceiling like festive little flags announcing, "Yes, pig, you are safe here." Hand-painted tiles lined the walls. There was a fountain in the corner that made me emotional for reasons I still don't understand. The music? Soft mariachi mixed with upbeat Latin jazz. Loud enough to feel alive, quiet enough to hear myself chewing. Now let's discuss the chips and salsa. The chips arrived warm. *Warm.* Do you understand what that means to a creature accustomed to eating room-temperature pellets from a dented metal trough? These weren't chips. These were crispy golden fragments of divine intervention. Perfect salt distribution. Structurally sound. Not one snapped under salsa pressure. And the salsa... sweet mother of mud puddles. They don't have the taco Tuesday special however they do serve Sopa de Res which is beef soup and their seasoning and I've been craving that type of soup on a rainy sick day and is it not disappoint nice chunks of carrots and their style of potato and the flavor was great with a splash of lemon on it and a little bit of hot sauce, it hit the spot. The staff was friendly. They have tables where you can sit down to eat your food which I thought was really nice cause I've never seen that at a gas station to be honest and they were nice and clean.
