Very skeptical about trying this place from the mix reviews, but I am very glad I gave this place a chance. I came on a Tuesday afternoon, I decided to order take out. They had 2 other customers waiting. The staff was very nice and helpful when I asked them what are in each item. I ordered the kimbap, I was very surprised to see there was 2 rolls, 8 pieces each totally to 16 pieces (I ate two pieces before I took the picture), it was very flavorful, it comes bulgogi as the meat option, they do use a different meat then what I am used to but it was still delicious, it was sweet. The carrot and the radish really adds flavor. I then ordered the bibimbap, it came with a sunny side egg, mixed veggies and bulgogi again was the only meat option. The chili paste come on the side, inside the container, I would recommend asking them to put it separately if you can't handle the spice. I also wish there were side dishes, but I believe you can order those separately. Overall, the taste was good. I would eat it again. read more

It was okay. The food was very fresh and the service was great. I guess I had a different idea in mind or was expecting something different. I got the sesame chicken and it tasted just like simple fried chicken with some glaze on top and I may have seen a few sesame seeds. Now the waitress was super sweet and kind but again the food was just so so and the ambiance was that of a normal Chinese kitchen. Also, I paid $2.50 for a can of sprite. Middle of the road Korean that can work in a pinch if you have korean food cravings... maybe. I have eaten here 4 times now. Here is my takeaway. * Whoever cooks the food is inconsistent. I have ordered the kimchi soup on two separate occasions. The First time was so salty it didn't sit right even eating it. The 2nd time it was really good. How there can be such a gap in quality is confusing. *The staff are very friendly *They are over priced for the portion size. My wife and I have ordered many things here and some are spot on great, hit the spot and we leave satisfied. Other dishes we regret spending the money on -especially at those prices. Mind you, those are dishes we already know and love. This leads back to inconsistencies in the kitchen. Ordered food for take out as they are doing no dine in. The person who answered the phone when I tried to order the Korean pancake said they are not supposed to do that but will do it this time. There is nothing on the menu stating they don't do this during certain times or that is only for dine. Also ordered bulgogi & vegetable fried rice. For 3 items is was over $40!! It was a large portion for the fried rice but extremely salty. The bulgogi tasted nothing like anything bolgogi I have made or had at any other Korean restaurant & we have been to over 20 different ones. The pancake was very greasy. The women at the restaurant was obviously sick. She was coughing & sniffling. She shouldn't have even been working. She was wearing a mask but still don't come to work sick!!! I really love kimchi and do have an good idea of what good kimchi should taste like. This stuff here, was awful and expensive. The ladies are very friendly, though. I looked their menu over and found it to be too expensive. But, do believe that you can judge a Korean restaurant by the quality of it's kimchi and this was terrible on a few levels. While stationed on Fort Drum, my family enjoyed this very much. My husband is Korean, and loves kimbap. I don't love making it for him all the time, so a quick trip off post, and he got what he wanted. The ladies are always as nice as can be, they're prompt with the orders, and the pricing is fair. Surprised to find a Korean restaurant in the area. It's off the beaten path and not the easiest to find. Ordered the pork bulgogi (spicy) and bibimbap. I was surprised to see they had jajangmyun, a Chinese-Korean dish, on the menu too. While I've had better Korean food in Flushing or New Jersey, I thought the food here was pretty good and grateful to find this place. While they only had a few side dishes, they were all fresh. The ladies that run this place are always so sweet and kind, and willingly explain the dishes to you if you are new to Korean food. Would not recommend at all. I got the beef bulgogi today and it literally tasted and smelled like expired beef, could barely manage to give it shot but left most on my plate. The rice smelled and tasted just as bad. Yakimandu was good though. She seen I barely touched my food, asked if I wanted it to go, I politely said no, but she gladly took every penny of the $31 bill, way too much for the quality of food here. I don't think I could feel good about charging someone for food that was not enjoyed. Will never go back nor recommend to anyone that knows how good bulgogi should be. read more

If I could rate this no stars, I would. I've been spoiled by Columbus, GA Korean restaurants, because they're all amazing. This is not authentic Korean food, and I'm so disappointed in our meal. We both ordered the beef bulgogi, and an appetizer of the steamed Mandu. The mandu was okay, but not very flavorful. The beef was tough & tasted old. Bulgogi is usually heavily marinated, and typically rib eye steak. All you tasted was old beef. The rice was over cooked, under salted, and extremely gummy. The kimchi was spicy but no flavor. The small plates of kimchi, zucchini, and turnips were disappointing. I'm really sad this is where I decided to have my birthday dinner, because honestly McDonalds would've been a better choice. The service wasn't good either, one person running the entire restaurant. It took her a solid 10 minutes for her to get drink orders for me & my husband, and there was only one other table in the restaurant. After originally charging our card, she came back to say I missed this $10 charge, and I'm charging you another $10. The explanation wasn't made, and at this point we were ready to go, so we just said fine. Do not waste your time here!! read more

First of all don't expect much more then your local Chinese place decor. However the service and food were far superior to the ambiance. We really enjoyed our food and service at this place. With an order of dumplings, beef entree, chicken entere and soda the total bill came out to a reasonable $30. I would recommend the place to all to visit when passing by. read more

The best Korean restaurant in Watertown is probably the ONLY Korean restaurant in Watertown. Considering the location and the lack of Korean people in the area, the restaurant is actually pretty good. Not 100% authentic because the Korean owners do need to cater to the tastes of the people who live there, but close enough that I'm happy. My friend ordered bulgogi, which came with fried rice. Fried rice is not a Korean dish, nor do we ever serve bulgogi with it, but again, the owners need to cater to the tastes of the local people. If they want fried rice, they're going to get it. The marinade for the bulgogi is sweeter than what it should be. Again, you need to cater to the local taste. Don't get me wrong, the marinade tastes good. I liked it and enjoyed the dish, but true Korean bulgogi is not that sweet. I ordered dduk gook (rice cake soup). It was pretty good. The rice cakes were cooked a little too long and the soup was a bit saltier than I would like, but overall I was satisfied with my soup. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but they serve good food. This right here is the best Korean food you can get without getting on a plane. Dear lord this food is amazing. The 5 hour drive to get here was totally worth it. We had the bi bim bob, bulgogi, kim bob, and steamed mandu. Everything was absolutely delicious. Veggies and fruit all had their wonderful flavors working in tandem to create a beautiful explosion of flavor. I am Korean. I went there about four years ago and visited recently. The owner/waitress recognized us, and remembered my son who was little at the time. The food was good then and it was still good. Not good at all!! I have eaten at Koreana twice and both times I left disgusted and unsatisfied. I ordered an egg roll, which was alright, along with sweet and sour chicken and friend rice. The entree was terrible!! I couldnt even eat the rice. very casual setting. They do offer delivery and take-out I do not at all recommend. however, they did have french fries for children (by order) and that helped so we didnt have a hungry screaming child. Feels like a home cooked Korean meal here. The lady that waited on us was super friendly and remembered us from a previous visit. This will be one of my go to places in town. On our first visit we had the Bibimbob. All the veggies were really fresh and cooked perfectly. The chili paste sauce that you can add to your liking had great flavor and really brought everything together. We pretty much licked the bowl. Second visit I had the spicy pork. It very much reminded me of the spicy pork my Korean friend's mom use to make when I came over to visit. Delicious! read more

As the owners of this place are Korean, I would not expect the Chinese food to be very good over here. Hence we ordered Korean dishes which were not too bad! I had a yukkaejang (not sure what it is in English, maybe a spicy beef soup?) and while I've had better, it was such a comfort to have in a land devoid of many Asian options. You can't go wrong with the bulgogi (marinated beef) and mandoo (dumplings - wrappers are thin unlike the Chinese dumplings). We were satisfied and moreover, very happy with the prices! The lady who served us was extremely friendly. The inside of the restaurant was nothing to look at; plain and drab. Stop by for a quick Korean food fix and you won't be disappointed. read more

The dipping sauce was just soy sauce with sesame seeds, not sweet enough. The sesame chicken was not mixed properly; it was fried with sauce poured over it. The pork fried rice was good. The chicken lo mein was good. Next on the list is to try the bibimbop and kimbop. The menu is too large. They should stick to the authentic korean stuff and get out of the chinese food.
