Another good dinner here. Seated right away. Hostess brought us bread, butter, and bread plates. But we have no utensils to use. Waited a short while thinking they would be arriving soon. NOPE. Got the hostess's attention and asked about getting something to butter our bread. Her response was " there isn't any more silverware at the hostess stand". I asked if they were getting any more and she said "I don't know" and walked away. Now we get our salads. We ask Alex, our server, for some utensils and he says he will get some right away and apologizes for not having any. Rest of the meal goes off without a hitch. Alex does a great job as our server. Friendly and polite even though he was very busy. We appreciated his service. Steaks were cooked perfectly. We had a enjoyable meal. Chocolate stampede cake was huge. Took most of it home. I arrived around 2:30pm with half my party& we had been placed on a wait list. We were told it would be a wait do to the fact that they have to combine tables and wait for tables to be cleared out.After patiently waiting ( around 3:40pm) we had members of our party checking in on the updated status of our table. No updated time was given and half of the table reserved for us which we could see was empty and cleaned was given away which made our wait time even longer. We addressed the situation with host and she responded with "oh they will be quick i promise". As you can imagine that did not sit well with my party.After 4:30pm came around I asked to speak with a manager (Bill). I made him aware of the situation and he directed the host to seat us immediately.Upon being seated we received awesome service from both servicers right away. They told us that the manager would be out to speak with us shortly. When he did arrive I explained that we love Long Horn and we were expecting to be accommodated accordingly ( not for free but atleast accomadated) and assured me that we would be. Orders for all drinks,apps, and entrees were put in by 5:30pm and although the appetizers and drinks came out quickly we did not receive our dinner until around 8pm. We asked for updates and we're told the kitchen was backed up. When everyone finally started eating we noticed the food was cold, undercooked, over cooked. People were missing items etc it was just a big mess. So we asked for the manager again and made him aware of the cold food and he explained to me that it's too hard to assure hot food with a party size(15) this large. By this time we were very restless and just ready to go.Many people in our party sent their food back others just wanted a discount because they were still hungry. The servicers came over with all the bills and nothing was accomadated. We told her that this is unacceptable and that we are highly disappointed in our experience. We requested the manager again, but when she came back she told us that he was tied up with something else and could not come to us at that time. We were prepared to just pay the bill because we wanted to leave but then was told have a good night and the bill was taken care of. Shortly after half our party was gone the manager comes to the table and asked were did everyone go. We explained we waited and were told to have a good night. It has been a while since we have been to Longhorn. I am currently on a keto diet and they seem to have quite a few great options. We were greeted and sat right away at our table. Only real complaint was that our table was strangely sticky when we sat down. Thankfully, my wife always carries wipes. We all ordered the Renegade Sirloin Steak with a side and a salad. I had the steamed broccoli, which was pretty tasty. My wife had a loaded baked potato. My kid had their Mac and Cheese. Everything was cooked pretty perfectly. Our server was super nice and was quick to refill our drinks. I love the fact that you can pay from your phone at the table. More places need to do this, so you don't get held hostage waiting for the bill. Overall this was great, the table is the biggest reason for the 4 stars. We will definitely try again. read more

This was my first experience with LongHorn Steakhouse, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing one. My church group had reservations, yet we ended up waiting over an hour and a half--nearly two hours--to be seated. The wait time was completely unacceptable, and the overall service during that time was horrible. Because of the poor handling of our reservation and the lack of accommodation for our group, I chose not to stay and spend my money at this establishment. I can't comment on the food since we never got the chance to eat. We eventually left and went elsewhere, where we received excellent service. It was my first time at Longhorn so count me impressed by the overall operations. The online ordering process was easy, from indicating the desired temperature of the steak, to selecting sides, to payment connected to Google Pay. At the restaurant, the curbside pick-up spot was right by the front door and clearly marked. All I had to do was check in from a link in the text message for a smiling server to bring out my meal. The menu is extensive with various steaks (filets, ribeyes, sirloins and NY strips), chicken, pork chops, and salmon. Some exciting apps (wings, stuffed mushrooms, and onion petals), soups, and salads are also available. I started with the seasoned wings, 8 per order, served with a fiery buffalo sauce and a creamy blue cheese dressing. The majority of the wings were extra large; they were also delicious. Whenever I'm at a steakhouse, I look for the prime rib first. Unfortunately, it was not available here. Instead, I went with the ribeye, rare, which came with two sides of my choice. I had the broccoli and Caesar salad since I was trying to minimize carbs today (I already had half a bagel earlier in the day). The steak was marvelously tender and prepared at the right temperature. Yay! I was disappointed by the Caesar salad though. As a rule of thumb, the amount of lettuce needs to be larger than the container of salad dressing. I passed on dessert even though the photo of the doughnut bites on the menu looked fantastic, as did the strawberry shortcake, and the Chocolate Stampede. read more

Had a wonderful meal on Mother's Day with great friends. Wait time was what they said- about 25 min which we thought was great for how busy they were. I'm not sure if it was just a bad night or what but the place was filthy and the service was mid. We have come here for a few months now so this is a compilation of those visits The food is good but sometimes the salmon is overcooked like crispy & black burnt The Hostess hardly ever at the podium, when she seats us I have had to stress on more than 1 occasion please seat us closer to the front last visit- was the worst, because the booth we got put at had horribly huge uncomfortable places in the seat cushion, thank God they were on my side & not my dads, he's handicap & that would've bruised him I guess that's what you get if you ask for some better accommodation! There were only 3 tables occupied around the restaurant.. There was a customer that chimed in when I asked for a closer place as well, she said she got the same treatment & she was using a walker.. I'm not sure if we will go back I hope to find a better alternative.. Service was slow afternoon dining does not seem to be a good idea. We got the mushrooms, onion thingys and the chicken bites. OMG, dem mushrooms have a special place in my heart now. Creamy, cheesy, but it doesn't overpower the mushrooms. Very well done! We usually get great food here, but yesterday was horrible. I ordered the burger, which is always great, asked for it medium rare and it was a hockey puck. The fries were beyond undercooked and soggy with grease. My fiancé always gets the filet with lobster, she likes her steak medium rare, but this steak was still "grazing the field" rare. If you want music and a louder crowd Texas Roadhouse is a better choice. You get one side dish with your meals. At TR you get two. All in all a good place. We tried this restaurant takeout tonight for the first time. Decided to get dinner and eat it at home. We ordered chicken tenders with sauce plus a couple of sides and a fillet with a couple of sides. The chicken tenders were extremely juicy and tender. And the batter/crust was crispy and delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly edge to edge, the baked potato was cooked perfectly. Both of our salads were a generous portion for a side salad. The mini loaf of bread was good too. Very happy with our meals and will definitely come back again. Too bad we can't go indoors right now but looking forward to it one day. By the way, ordering was easy and when you pull up in your spot you check in and tell them what spot you're in and what vehicle you're driving and they bring your food out when it's ready. I'd been wanting to try Longhorn for quite some time. My mom and I were out shopping in the Westland area and this location is convenient near Westland Mall and the other surrounding stripmalls. Ample parking is available in the restaurant's lot and overflow if needed in the mall lot. We were greeted (with a smile) and seated (right away) upon entry. Our server kept up the momentum by stopping over to the table with introductions almost immediately. The place was kind of full and the atmosphere was filled with the happy banter of patrons seemingly having a great time. Restrooms were clean. There was a decent wine and cocktail list, with the wine coming in a small or larger pour size as desired. The menu choices were also good with my mom choosing a steak and me going for the salmon. Again both items were available in two portion sizes depending on one's appetite. Food came out quickly and was pretty tasty. Server was attentive and personable.
