Take out out on 8-16, maybe a 4 minute ride home. Loose burger was made from some kind of maybe beef and the rest fillers. The bun turned to mush on the bottom from all the grease. I expect grease but the bun did not hold up at all. So fat, filler and perhaps some ground beef- not sure at all. Pretty much what I would call inedible. What has happened? They used to have good food but they will be eliminated as a good coney place from my list. And as for breakfast there - never have real butter - just some yellow fat in a tiny cup. I wish I could give zero stars. Everything is soggy or undercooked. Several people complained about undercooked fries and sure enough mine were still white. My gyro was wet and soggy. My "Mexican" omelette has carrots and celery. No meat or other veggies. They didn't even give me toast. The worst food in Westland. 0/10 do not recommend. read more

Stopped in 9/18 about 3pm, waitress was kinda rude and I thought nothing of having to repeat my order 3 times. Get our food and July son found a hair in his chili fries, call her over she asked if we wanted a replacement or take it off bill.i requested to take it off. She didn't remove the plate. He then took my chili fries, she comes back we ask for a box she brings it back and comments about us taking our food and she sould put the fries back on the bill as she walked away. Mmy response was then F-ing put it back on, she says no then goes to co worker and they praised her for doing the right thing. I go to pay and told cashier to add them to nlmy bill. She asked wasn't there hair in food. I said yes but your waitress is.... she adds it back on, as she's handing me change I told her I won't be back. I've been going there for 20 years, ive went when staff was rude, forgetful, covid, food not always being what I ordered etc., but I felt a loyalty to my little money on Telegraph and West. Yesterday was the worse service I have ever had. While there a quick usually good food, this waitress has caused a 20 yr customer to seek else where. First, the first waitress had a borderline disrespectful attitude. Second, I was given water in a dirty glass. Which a second waitress rectified. Third, I was initially given the wrong order. There's countless Coney type restaurants in Westland and nearby cities. Olympic is definitely my favorite. They just do everything right. Every coney spot can make eggs and hash browns, patty melts and fries... but Olympic doesn't burn your eggs or overcook em. You won't get your hash browns burnt or oily. Everything you get here you can get somewhere else, but this place makes it perfectly. To me, that matters. The staff has always been nothing but nice too. And important side note, the sausage gravy and stuffed French toast are awesome here. Not together, though. read more

I stopped by for lunch today and stood waiting for about 5 minutes to be seated. A waitress came flying by and I said "HI" and she said hi and flew past me. I wasn't saying hi to be friendly, I was trying to get her attention which was apparently not working. Finally another waitress came up and told me to sit anywhere. I sat and waited another 5 minutes while FOUR waitresses at the counter right across from me stood yakking. I decided to leave and as I was getting up one of the yakking waitresses pointed at me and said "There's a customer" and I said I had been sitting waiting for 5 minutes while you were all standing around and yakking. PATHETIC customer service. No excuses for being understaffed etc. as the place was not even 1/3 full and these 4 individuals certainly had time to stand around and blab while ignoring customers. read more

This is probably one of my favorite breakfast spots for a cheap and good meal. My boyfriend and I frequent this place a lot. One of my favorite dishes is the breakfast skillet. Usually I will get sausage, but the last time I got it with bacon and I was not disappointed. I also elected to add sausage gravy overtop. The overeasy eggs come out perfectly every time! I've also tried the banana crepe, and it is amazing! The coffee there is delicious and fresh, and the wait staff is ALWAYS fantastic with service and friendliness. My coffee/water is never empty. I have yet to try the ice cream or the pies, but they always look delicious. It's a great place to bring the family as well! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious and diverse breakfast/lunch menu. read more

The service was cool. The food was not fabulous. The eggs and bacon were cooked to order. The eggs were unseasoned, the waffles were flavorless. Tasted like cheap pancake mix, without egg, oil or any flavor enhancement. Not even vanilla. The "buttery spread" margarine didn't even melt on hot waffles. read more

Olympic Coney Island is one of my favorite Coney Islands in the area. Their Greek gyro salad is amazing. The gyro meat is always cooked perfectly and the dressing is great. It's the perfect amount of herbs and tang. You can also purchase it by the bottle as well. Service is always good and consistent here as well. read more

Stopped in on a Friday around 1pm after a grueling workout session and needed to refuel quickly. Upon entering I was greeted promptly. I sat at the counter and as I knew what I wanted already I didn't need much time to look over the menu. I'm no stranger to coney island's so I typically get the same thing as I did here - spinach tomato feta omelette (egg whites) home fries no toast. The food came out piping hot within 5minutes but unfortunately it tasted as if it was cooked in bacon grease (I've been a vegetarian for 10 years). I can appreciate the fact they use "real" potatoes. the waitress was pleasant and made sure to keep my water full. Total was 9.27$, I left a 2.63$ tip. Dropped $12.00 on the Visa Maybe next time I'll try a salad if prompted to go by a friend. read more

This is an OK place. That's about all to be said really. The coney's are nothing great, but they are acceptable. The chicken greek salad was a little more disappointing. The breakfast we had there could not be described any other way than gross. the hash browns tasted old, the English muffin we ordered came burnt, and the omelet I ordered was missing one of three ingredients. instead of saying to us That they would remake it, they brought some stewed tomatoes( the ingredient that was missing) for me to put on top. the toast was smeared in tons of terrible margarine spread. the waitress never came back to see how our food was. just a lousy place all around. do not go there. read more

I just don't get it ordered one of the same combo at each place a Gyro, Spinach Pie n Greek Salad same price this place half the size don't believe me look at my review with photos a month ago. The had half the Meat, Salad half the size and smaller slice of Spinach Pie. The Chili Special not the same just OK, the Chicken Shawarma had no Toum Garlic Sauce our great waitress brought some, , need help on making this just ground Garlic nothing added to make it creamy smooth. A Chicken plate with Hummus n Olives damn terrible Hummus like they add zero Tahini and the Chicken chopped n dry. Absolutely not going back. The owner wife Woodhaven location ask me to visit her location spent 55 bucks zero discount even though it says Seniors 10 percent off,,, guess what same sign this location 35 bucks zero discount. Went to Olympic at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and ordered breakfast... Yes, it was one of those lazy days and breakfast is good at anytime of the day!!! I ordered the 2 egg special over medium, with home fries, wheat toast, and bacon. Everything came out minutes later, hot fresh and tasty... No complaints here. They are starting to remodel, can't wait to see the updates... I sat at the walk-up counter. The waitress was friendly and outgoing and kept my drink full at all times. The wife and I popped in to try "that one place we drive past all the time." I had the fish and chips. It was pretty tasty. When I finished it, there wasn't much leftover oil on my plate. Which is nice in my opinion. The fries were....fries. My wife had the medium Greek salad. It looked delicious. The dressing was AWESOME!!! I believe they bottle the stuff and sell it there as well. Now the bad/gross. Our table, and the table next to ours were leveled off with wadded up napkins; that seemed like they've been there for quite sometime. Then I thought about the nasty mop water that those napkins have soaked up over time. And the funkiness they harbored. Annnnnd that's when I ended my relatively tasty meal. Don't get me wrong. Restaurants do thins all the time....as a temporary fix. However, this wasn't a temporary thing. Don't let this steer you away from the place. Hopefully, this was an oversight and the napkin levelers will be removed. The food was pretty good. I prefer them to the Ram's Horn right across the street from them. I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is incredible, the salads are great the appetizers are great. The service depending on who you get as a waitress can really set the atmosphere. I've had a few really terrible waitresses and never wanted to go back and I still went back to see if they could redeem themselves. The waitress the next time was fantastic. I eat here often. Always enjoy my food. I like breakfast here with the diced potato option instead of hashbrowns. The crispy chicken wrap is good. A very decent diner. Olympic has become one of my main staples when I cannot decide what to eat or want breakfast on a weekend. They are a typical coney but the staff is what makes it great. The waitresses are always great at their job and are friendly. Never have had an issue with anything and of course the food is good and price is good too.
