    This is my first visit to any Famous Dave's location. While I generally avoid chain restaurants, this visit was chosen by a friend and it was better than OK (3-Stars). I ordered the 2+1 lunch special; smoked sausage, St. Louis ribs and Wilbur beans. A cornbread muffin is included. Everything was served hot, thank you very much. The smoked sausage is very flavorful and cheesy. The ribs were not fall-off-the-bone tender, but were sufficiently tender. The Wilbur beans rock and included a bit of fatty pork. The cornbread muffin is sweet and the cornmeal is a very fine grind - I prefer a coarse(r) grind. Service is reasonably and knowledgeable. No complaints. Why not 5-Stars? I REALLY prefer my ribs to be fall-off-the-bone tender. The venue is BBQ Rural chic. Appropriate. Predictable. Will I return? Perhaps. I avoid chain restaurants and this is yet another mega chain that has not (yet?) been ruined by the usual private equity vultures (Roark, Blackrock, Vanguard, etc)

    Let me start off by saying I come to this Famous Dave's every 2 Weeks. Never ever had a Bad Experience, except this time. The Crazy part is the Manager took my Order. Ordered a Big Slab Rib Meal. Center-Cut extra $6 dollars. Sides Wilbur Beans and Mac & Cheese. Then ordered a 1/2 Pound of Brisket with Coleslaw & Fries. I come here every 2 Weeks like Clockwork, so the Lady that usually helps me knows my order, which the Manager told her back up I got it. Upon looking at my Bill the Manager Ala Carted the Sides on the Brisket instead of making it a Meal. So I was overcharged. 2nd- I like all my meats to be Cooked a little longer with the Grill marks. Manager tells me I got it, because the young Lady working knows how I like it. Brisket looks Rare, Mac & Cheese bone dry. Ribs no char. It's like she did it on purpose. Food Undercooked, Underwhelmed & Overcharged, and who do I complain to, I guess Corporate, because the Manager was the Problem. Please see pictures of Food. Notice the Brisket, when I told the Manager this isn't done, she immediately said this is our New Cooking style. All Brisket will be like this from now on. Yep, am done. I got this order. Wednesday 6:29 pm. So if Corporate or GM sees this Review I timestamped this Review, because she didn't put her name on the Receipt.

    1. Award winning service was given by Daniel. He said see you next week! He knows we will be back. 2. Award winning smoker/grill master is Sam! We asked who prepared our ribs.....Sam knows what she is doing with those pedals! 3. Award winning ribs goes to this Famous Dave's location! It is better than the others in our humble opinion. The ribs were so tender and falling off the bones! We see why they have been voted 16 years straight as Best BBQ by Channel 4 - Click on Detroit. 4. The restaurant is very nice lit with plenty of sitting options and even outdoor seating is available during nicer weather. There are plenty of paper towels and wet wipes to go around! lol

    THE BABIES ARE STILL HERE!!!!!!!!! PROS: - The best baby back ribs ever are still around! This meaty, juicy, delicious favorite is as good as ever, and I'm so glad it's still available on their limited menu! - Our service from Jenn was so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience! - The music wasn't too loud, and the crowd noise level was manageable to have a good time and hear conversation around the table. CONS: - I still miss the chicken wild rice soup. Maybe they'll bring that back eventually. FAVORITES: - BA-BY BACK! BABY BACK! Seriously, these baby back ribs + sweet and zesty sauce is a game winner. - The bread pudding is also the best around - soft, sweet, and drizzled in delicious sauce. It comes with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream, which make it extra delicious! TIPS: - Get the baby back ribs and the bread pudding! OVERALL: - Still my favorite ribs of all time!

    One of the best meals I've had at a barbecue restaurant in a long time. The brisket sandwich was delicious. My server was excellent and knew exactly what I wanted in place of the Manhandler sandwich, which no longer is available. I enjoyed the music that played while I ate, and the quietness of the restaurant was wonderful.

Service is very attentive without being obsequious. My coffee and water never got below half before refills were offered. The venue is small-ish, but now over-stuffed with tables. We ordered over easy brought eggs with some chunks of stuff in it and they were barely even the eggs we asked for hashbrowns well done. They brought some kind of chopped up potatoes with a bunch of vegetables in it. My ordered a mushroom Swiss came to the table and said they were out of only had two, but they were gonna substitute it and they brought her four or five fried like six onion rings and what they were substituting it with then they put cream of mushroom on the bottom of the plate and set the burger on top of it so the bun was soggy. How can you eat a burger if it's the waitress it was her first day she and she kept running telling us out of this out of that they didn't have lemonade or iced tea, but she said that she would make my lemonade rash instead brought them two cokes they do not drink pop I have never in my life experience a so bad we were there at about 630 to 730 waiting they brought one dish out at a my that omelette. It was one egg papers then I have pictures and went up there and said we did not order none of guys are just throwing stuff together and trying to get rid of it to us and we're not going to pay nor are we going to eat it I will pay for the pops that we drink and that's it. Your food is on the table and they started yelling saying we were hillbillies trying to eat their food for I pulled $2000 out of my pocket wave that and everything seen it. They cops said we were trying to dine crazy. I have money I believe in paying for what I get this place does not give you anything that you for they try to give you whatever they want and then they come out saying well if you wanted good food, you should've been here by 5 o'clock who the hell says that you're a restaurant and you're open to 930 at night and we're there before seven trying to get our food and you're telling us that you ran out of food and you're trying to accommodate us by throwing whatever you feel we would want on the plate. This shit is just ridiculous. I really want to add the pictures. They called the police now they're falsifying stuff on their reviews, saying that the police looked at the cameras and we tried to dine in Dash, which is 100% BS. There's another lady that wrote a review pretty much the same thing the edits the video or only show shows partial where you walk out doesn't show the event that actually took place or us going up to the cash register trying to pay twice for what we did drink, but I'm not paying for something I did not order or every order was messed but what me as how say be here before you should say we close our doors at five instead of staying up to 9 o'clock trying to feed everybody scraps and make a dollar we also my the other one ordered a cheeseburger they brought six curly fries even though he wanted regular fries they said they were out of regular fries. They gave him six pearly fries, plain cheeseburger with pickles on the side on the side pickles. There was a raw piece of chicken inside with the pickles that's food or whatever they call it. I really want to share pictures now they post a review saying that we Dash and we are in jail. That is 100% BS . They said they called the police as need to pay or get out we stood outside. They made us basically leave the premises that way when the police got there they could lie and tell them whatever they but I have pictures anybody that wants than happy to share.

I decided to try the signature Black Label Burger and the house made potato chips. I was disappointed in both. The burger was dry and not prepared to my request or liking and the potato chips had no flavor or seasoning. I should have went with the Sunday Brunch with several offerings and made-to-order omelettes. Sunday Brunch is until 2pm which is also an available on holidays. It includes made-to-order crepes and omelettes, fruit, French toast, pancakes, chicken, eggs, dessert bar plus condiments for Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. They offer dine-in only with a purchase of a beverage for their $7 Happy Hour and Drink specials. This is available Monday - Friday 3pm-6pm. Although I was the only one waiting at the unstaffed hostess station, it took some time for my acknowledgment by a staff member to offer me seating in a booth. Seating options are traditional tables, booths, bar and patio. The service was okay once I was seated. Feliberto was a good server and kept my unsweetened tea refills coming. The ambiance in the restaurant was pleasant and a family-friendly atmosphere.

    Gj's has been around for a long time. They must be doing something right…read more I've eaten here a few time for breakfast. Prices are on the lower side but the special also cuts back on portion size. Not complaining just making everyone aware. On my last visit the waitress could have been a little more upbeat. Once ordered the food came out pretty promptly but, in my opinion, could have been done better. Ordering eggs sometimes vary from what you expect to what you receive. My main issue was with the hash browns. I understand that I like my hash browns more crispy but these crossed the line. They were put on the griddle but weren't left there very long. They had a few darker spots but some of the potato in the center were still half raw. Lots of hard surfaces and everything appeared clean. As I said they've been there a while so atmosphere is homey. Not a bad place to have breakfast. It's not one of my favorites but I will go back.

Went in and ordered fish with salad and baked potato...... ranch dressing was bubbly and warm so I was scared to eat that... fish was just bad.... Was told it was 12 ounces... they must weigh it after they batter it. Was told it was cod... I don't think so... wasn't white enough and the batter and fish wasn't cooked enough. The oil was probably too hot, that's why the outside was brown but the inside was doughy. You could actually still see some of the orange color to the batter. Not crispy at all...The baked potato was good. I peeled all the batter off, ate the fish and the potato, then saw what appeared to be a grayish eyebrow hair on the bottom of my plate.. that sealed the deal... the guy cooking with the salt and pepper hair and afternoon shadow beard needs to put a damn hairnet on his head and face so it doesn't end up on the plate. I almost puked.The only thing good about this experience was the waitress... she was apologetic and nice..I felt bad for her. You really have to know what you're doing to have good hand, battered fish and chips and it's quite obvious, the cook that was shedding on my plate hasn't figured that out yet.... We will NEVER be back..... I'm soo mad I didn't just go to Michnos for their fish..... this was a waste of 40 bucks
