Established in 2017. One of 4 locations. Sister location is Honey Bee in Northville. I was in the area after church and decided to drop in for lunch. I decided to try the signature Black Label Burger and the house made potato chips. I was disappointed in both. The burger was dry and not prepared to my request or liking and the potato chips had no flavor or seasoning. I should have went with the Sunday Brunch with several offerings and made-to-order omelettes. Sunday Brunch is until 2pm which is also an available on holidays. It includes made-to-order crepes and omelettes, fruit, French toast, pancakes, chicken, eggs, dessert bar plus condiments for Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. They offer dine-in only with a purchase of a beverage for their $7 Happy Hour and Drink specials. This is available Monday - Friday 3pm-6pm. Although I was the only one waiting at the unstaffed hostess station, it took some time for my acknowledgment by a staff member to offer me seating in a booth. Seating options are traditional tables, booths, bar and patio. The service was okay once I was seated. Feliberto was a good server and kept my unsweetened tea refills coming. We visited Black Label Tavern on a Friday evening, and it wasn't too crowded when we arrived. Unfortunately, the service got off to a slow start. We waited about 10 minutes without being greeted or seated, even though several servers noticed us. Eventually, someone seated us, but it was a disappointing first impression. We ordered the rosemary truffle fries, onion rings, and a wood-fired hand-tossed pizza, customized with our choice of toppings. They don't modify any of their alcoholic drinks to make virgin versions. The food took a while to arrive, but everything came out together. The onion rings were crispy and enjoyable, and the pizza was good. The rosemary truffle fries, however, were just okay and lacked the flavor we expected. As the evening went on, the restaurant slowly filled up, with the bar area becoming completely packed. Overall, it's a nice, cool spot with decent food, but the service could definitely use improvement. The experience was okay, but it left us wanting a bit more. read more

Went out to eat here for my girlfriend's birthday, thought we would try something new upon entering the building the atmosphere was nice. However the menu is very small and there isn't even a drink menu not every table has a speciality menu and the waitress are dressed beyond belief for a restaurant chain this small. Arrival time at 6 me my son and the three others I was with "finished" our food by 6:30 I ordered the braised beef which I mistakenly thought was gonna be a nice seared piece of meat over mashed potatoes meanwhile I was served the end of a loin which is supposed to be strictly used for soup and people with dietary need no grill or sear marks it looks like it had been boiled and microwaved the fat was grey and looked like wet cardboard almost very unappetizing. Charred Brussels sprouts for an appetizer don't be mistaking there shredded not even full. Shrimp is actually breaded but stuffed into a "bread" filling my waitress wasn't trained and didn't ask if anyone else needed anything after the first appetizer were ordered so luckily I wasn't able to try much more. Water with lemon was refilled at the table with a water pitcher instead of replacing the lemon and the glass. Plenty of small things I could go on about, safe to say we will not be returning. Black Label Tavern is really easy to find and it's easy to park. Inside it's fun and friendly, with kind and attentive staff. We all ordered a celebratory cocktail. They did a great job on the drinks. Then all four of us ordered salmon, lol, and the portion was huge it came with two sides, and you could swap for whatever you wanted. Did mashed potatoes and asparagus, and it was all perfect. It looked like it had an awesome happy hour crowd, but would be great for any type of visit. I don't usually leave long reviews, but this experience was unbelievably bad, especially for a Monday when the place wasn't even busy. Things actually started off fine. Our server was friendly and attentive... for the first five minutes. Then everything fell apart. My wives's first glass of wine came out looking like it had been grabbed from another table, smudges and lip marks all over the rim. I asked for a replacement, and even the server said, "Yeah, I wouldn't drink from that either." Not exactly reassuring, but fine. Then the food arrived... with no silverware. We waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, I had to flag down a completely different server just to get utensils. At this point, I realized the "replacement" wine never came back, either. When our server finally resurfaced, I reminded her, she had totally forgotten. Over halfway through the meal, the new wine shows up... and the glass is somehow grosser than the first one. Lip smudges again. I would've said something, but she never returned. You can see from the empty water glasses, we just kinda were left there. To top it off, we had to get another server just to bring the bill. When our server did come back and I pointed out the dirty wine glass, her response wasn't an apology. It wasn't concern. It was just: "Oh." That's it. Just oh. This used to be a solid spot, but it's been the same menu forever, the menus themselves are beat up, and half the bar tables wobble. It reminds me of Doc Sports in Livonia, a place that used to be good, but the owners made enough money and stopped caring, stopped updating anything, and it slowly died of old age. This place is nice, it was not super packed on a Thursday night and there was no wait for a table for two. There are TVs at the bar for those who watch sports, and a regular dining area for everyone else. There is rock music playing softly. Our server was really nice and attentive . I had a midnight margarita which was okay (really sweet), I also had a white gummy martini and it was amazing 10/10. I chose the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer which was delicious! 10/10 it was perfect and the pita chips were crispy yet soft. For my meal I had the steak bites which is on the starters menu, it was super tender and cooked medium 10/10. I also had a side of macaroni which was okay 4/10. Was finally able to check out this bar and grill on a Saturday afternoon. Was warmly greeted by the bartender and he recommended the Bloody Mary for our first round of cocktails. Ordered the spicy Bloody Mary and did not disappoint! I can see why they have been voted best Bloody Mary- bold, spicy flavors that are sure to warm you up on a cold winter day! We ordered an appetizer of the Mac and Cheese Gouda Bites , my coworkers ordered the spicy fried chicken which had more of a tang than spicy and the smoked brisket sandwich which was packed with flavors and a generous helping. Met a friend here for dinner in February. Our food was fabulous! Our service? Not so great. I have a huge pet peeve of not liking to have my drinks go dry. Not only did my wine and water go dry - I was never asked if I wanted more wine. My water went dry several times and we had to ask multiple times for more water - even after handing Christina the water glasses. She was friendly enough and knew the menu, and unfortunately, we were not impressed with her service. The food... Appetizers: since it was happy hour, we had the Brussels sprouts app - this has been and continues to be a favourite! Perfect blend of ingredients and very flavorful. We also tried the onion dip - I would describe that as a fancier version of the chip dip you can buy at the grocery store. It was good, the pita chips it is served with were perfect! Not sure we would order it again, but it was good (I'd get the Brussels sprouts all day, any day). Main courses: steak frites and bourbon chicken. The steak frites smelled amazing and the flavor did not disappoint. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare with a garlic butter and rosemary. The fries were covered in Parmesan and aioli - delicious! This dish was so full flavor! The bourbon chicken was a generous portion, the chicken was cooked perfectly (not at all dry). The side of Mac and cheese was a surprising delight - an excellent blend of cheese with a crispy topping of roasted bread crumbs. Dessert: red velvet cheesecake - I mean, need I say more? We stopped in on a Saturday night after walking out of Outback because the service was non-existent. We were craving a steak and my coworker has raved about this place. So, we came in and sat a few minutes to wait for our table. We were greeted, by Sarah, our server. She was awesome and her service was so appreciated after walking out at Outback. We started out with crispy Brussel sprouts as an app. It was good, I had just wished there was something to bite into, it was made up of crispy leaves (I would have preferred halves at least). It had a nice flavor. I ordered steak frites which was served with parmesan truffle fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, it was tender and juicy and the fries were tasty as well. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye that was served with marble potatoes and roasted carrots. The steak was cooked perfectly again and had great flavor. We were disappointed in the carrots, while they were beautiful rainbow carrots, they were bland. I loved the sprigs of fresh herbs on ouour plates! Sarah was very attentive and made sure our drinks were refilled, etc.. We will be back when we're in the area. read more

The football game was on instead of the Res Wings at first. But they finally caught on and switched it. My daughter LOVES their steak bites. Main reason why we came here tonight. I decided to try the Shredded Chicken Tacos. They were decent. The chicken was a bit on the dry side. Had it not been for the avocado, it wouldn't have been as good. The waitress was pretty attentive even though she was very busy. She stopped by a couple of times to see how we were doing.
