Intimate pizzeria that offers dine in and delivery and carry out. We dined in and had a double pepperoni pizza. It was so good. Cooked to perfection. We like ours well done so the edges are crispy. It came out steaming hot and tasted great. My son got the chicken piccata and said it was really good. They give you garlic knots to snack on. They were ok. Not much flavor. The server was very nice and attentive. We will definitely come back. The only reason I didn't give five stars was due to cleanliness. There was food on the floor under our table and the table was a bit sticky. The wall decor had a lot of dust on them which you could see since it was next to you at the booth. I grew up on this pizza and it's still our go-to spot. Love their pizza, the Big Italian sub, cheesy bread, pastas and Ultimate Chicken Salads. Prices are reasonable and service is always good. The Lake Shore location has a private room for events and Mentor Ave has a great patio when it's warm. The Longo Family has always been a great community partner. read more

Longo's has been a part of Mentor for years. The family has several area restaurants each with a slightly different twist on Italian cooking. At this location you will find those Italian American classic comfort food meals. They will be heavy with cheese and sauce, but if that's what you want, you will not be disappointed! the sauces are delicious and the pizza crust has a good flavor. While the restaurant itself does not have a bar, in the summer months there is one out back that it is an area local favorite. The restaurant pizza parlor is a little older and could probably use an update. Many use this location for catering of large parties. Their sheet pizzas and chicken strips won't disappoint! To the people who left the review about your "service" dog. I was a patron who witnessed your interaction. The dog couldn't have been more then 8 weeks old. Not sure how much training a dog that age could have had. I'm sure the people sitting near you didn't want to experience your dog possibly relieving itself while they ate. Longo's is a great place to eat. It is truly a local place. It's always packed on the weekends during what is considered "normal" dining hours so we go earlier. The food is great. I'm not one for pizza because of all the bread so I get other things. Their chicken fingers are amazing, and the spaghetti is awesome. I love their meat sauce. It's the best in town. I prefer it with angel hair pasta. During Lent, the grouper dinner is delicious. If you're in a hurry or really hungry, go early! Great place to eat! read more

Not a long review. Went to dinner with my wife last night and I was not impressed with our dining experience. The service was adequate. I ordered eggplant parmigiana that looked good but one I took a bite it was very bland and flavorless. When I told our server she was like oh well I'm sorry. I thought I knew all the fabulousness that Joey Longo had - the garlic knots, the delicious salads, the pizzas and pastas - fave Chicken Madison at Joeys in Madison - but their chicken Alfredo is still perfectly homemade- anyhoo tonight the pizza just like always delicious - crispy cheesy meatball-y (it's a word) but the special on Monday - boneless bites or a 2 item calzone (we upgraded to the California Veggie) and I might never not order it again. We used to go here once a week before Covid. Service was always fantastic, food was consistently good, never had an issue. Until post Covid. Now it's a limited menu for the past two months.
