    beach day

I take my dog to this dog beach almost every year. He seems to enjoy beach off season most, just because there are less people and dogs. He doesn't really like other dogs' attention. The parking is always challenge. But we appreciate this place where dogs can run freely on the beach.

This was our first visit to this dog beach with our two Golden Retrievers. As many other reviews have pointed out, parking can be a challenge with the limited spaces they have. The parking lot on the side of the street where the beach is at is very small. There is another parking lot across the street where the fishing pier is, which has a bit more space. We got there around 10am and barely got a parking space. When we left a little after 1, their were cars waiting in line trying to get a spot. The beach itself is on the bay side and is fairly long and narrow. Most dogs are off leash and will come up to other dogs to play, so if your dog doesn't like that, this isn't the place for you. There are no trash cans on the beach but there are some dumpsters in the two parking lots. The beach itself was clean and our dogs enjoyed playing in the water. Wish they could somehow get more parking cause for us, it's a several hour drive and would suck getting there and not being able to find a parking spot.

Great place to bring the pups! I've been here twice and the dogs love it! The only thing I dislike is that they only have one porter potty across the street (but hey it's better than nothing) and I wish they had a hose to wash the dogs off before putting them back in the car! Lastly, the quality of people that go here are a little on the "fat and trashy" side but if you can ignore that then it's great!

    Longport beach! Doggo was happy!

For being an off Leash dog beach, it's pretty good! Quality of water is questionable but my dog has TONS of fun here! Highly recommend if you got dogs and wanna take them out somewhere!

This is the best place to take your pup for the day. It gets pretty crowded but alike most dog parks people are paying attention to their animals. I've never seen an altercation there. It's a pretty good stretch of beach for the dogs to play on. The great outweighs anything bad I have to say. It's also not far from the city. Only issue is there are no trash cans. They have one dumpster in the parking lot but doesn't seem like anyone picks up theirs dogs droppings. Oh yeah parking is a nightmare if you don't get there early.

We loved our day trip to the dog beach with our 10 month old puppy Bella. She adores the dog park so we thought this would be a good new environment for her. It took her some time to get used to waves, but she did get comfortable wading in the water with us. Most people let their dogs run around off leash. There are people who would walk or sit with their dogs leashed, but be warned many free dogs will approach so be ready! We set up a spot just like we would at a people only beach, and didn't mind doggy visitors borrowing our umbrella shade. One pup stole some of our dog food, but that's on us and just a warning to other visitors! This is an active beach day, I doubt you could read much or sun bathe. There is no lifeguard. The beach is not fenced but there are sand dunes and grass forming a natural barrier to the road. We went around 9:30am on a Friday and the parking lot was about 75% full. Everyone we encountered there was friendly and had an eye on their dog. We did see some abandoned dog poop, but more often than not people cleaned up after themselves.

We went on my Boss' recommendation. We went later in the afternoon (around 2:30pm) and there were still a good amount of dogs playing and having a blast! We packed 4 gallon jugs of water and brought a Big Bowl on the other reviews about dogs sharing the water dish! And some sandwiches and drinks We put down a fitted sheet and put our bags and brought some foam balls to throw and play catch. The beach is Full Of Nice people and friendly dogs of Many different breeds. Met lots of great people, most were there as their First time there, as well. There seems to also be a spot by the Pier? We didn't venture that direction, but our pups enjoyed it. There wasn't poo everywhere, the beach was clean. It was a little windy but it wasn't too Hot! We cannot wait to go back! Our 3 pups had a Great time! We plan to make this outing a bi-weekly treat for all of us.

We LOVED this spot! I just moved back to the Philly area after having spent the last 20 years in Seattle and Tahoe, and I just needed to find a dog friendly water area where I could let the beast off the leash. It was easy enough to find and at 10 AM on a beautiful warm autumn day, we had no problems finding a spot to park and plenty of space to roam. All the dogs were well behaved and so were the two legged beasts. We only had a few minutes to spend here though, and in that brief time, my niece managed to lose my car keys. After a frantic few minutes of searching, we backtracked to the main parking lot where some kind soul found the keys and left them on a post along with several other sets of lost keys. As we were leaving, we were distraught to hear that a corgi meet up was about to descent upon the beach. OH MY FLUFFER BUTTS.

    BEST TIME EVER!!!

Paxton had the time of his life off-leash! People were lovely, dogs were friendly, beach was clean! There is a grassy area to walk your dog by the parking area with a garbage bin nearby. Can't wait to go back again!

I love coming to Longport Dog Beach! It's free and there's plenty of room to spread out and relax! Much more enjoyable than the overcrowded boardwalk beaches that you need to purchase beach tags for. Also, watching dogs frolic, play in the ocean, and run around making new friends all day is probably my favorite form of entertainment! Tips: Definitely bring a chair!! If you lay directly on the beach be prepared for wet dogs to come say hi and get you and your blanket all wet and sandy. Bring an umbrella to shade your pup from the hot sun and bring TONS of water & a water bowl for your dog. Ice cubes will make your dog water stay drinkable longer in the heat. There are a few cons: Parking is extremely limited. There are two parking lots (one at the beach and one right across the street) but they fill up early on. A lot of cars park on the shoulders but given the beach is located off a busy highway, I would recommend waiting for a parking space to free up. There is a dumpster in the parking lot but no trash cans on the beach. Unless you want to walk all the way back to the parking lot, plan to bring a trash bag for poop, food wrappers, empty bottles, etc. otherwise it all will blow away or peak the interest of our furry friends. There is no hose or shower to 1) refill water and 2) wash your pup off before getting back in the car. Adding this would make Longport Dog Beach a 5-star destination for sure!

This is where Freedom really stands out in my mind. Before being able to take any boats on my own, I had to have a PowerPoint and an on-water training with Captain Rick (who is awesome btw!). I can say very confidently that the time spent with him was worth the buy in to the club on its own. I now feel very confident on the water, so much so that I immediately took a boat out myself and spent the entire day on the water. I explored the intracoastal from sea isle back to AC and then took a trip half way up the egg harbor river. I had no trouble navigating and knew exactly how to approach other boats, dock, etc. The boats are all very new and well taken care of. They have pontoon boats, bowriders, center and dual console boats for fishing or water sports,, and they are always purchasing new boats as the membership grows. Some can be used offshore up to 25 miles. You have to take a training for that, but as a new boater I wouldn't want to head out into the ocean without that training. They will give you unlimited training so that you are as comfortable and safe as possible while out there. As a father of three I feel this is the most important thing. All of the boats have garmin navigation and charts outlining local restaurants and points of interest. This makes it pretty easy to not hit the shallows or get stuck on a sandbar. But since i got the upgraded insurance plan, towing and repairs are covered 100%. Being a new boater and given the amount of things that can go wrong on the water, this gives me a ton of peace of mind. In fact my first day on the water I drifted into some mud and was easily able to get myself out without any problems and was on my merry way. They keep a ratio of 8 members per boat meaning they buy a new boat every time they add 8 members. From talking with other members and captain Rick, it's not hard to get a boat most times and they have only ever had all boats out once or twice on the same day. I did the weekday plan so I don't have to fight the tourists for boats on the weekend but my understanding is the weekends aren't that bad especially because they have opened other locations in Cape May and Delran as well as in Delaware and New York. You get unlimited access to boats at all of the locations owned by this franchise, I believe it's 8 locations and counting so far. The best part about this club is all of the almost 300 other locations across the country and a few in Europe that you can rent from four times per year each. We plan on planning our vacations around their locations all over the country in not only ocean locations but also lakes and rivers. There isn't enough days In the year to exhaust all of those reciprocal reservations. Some locations have pontoons with water slides even. I also work all over the country so this will really be a much needed reprieve when I'm working. But add to that that I don't have to worry about maintenance, insurance, towing, etc. You have dock staff that caters to your every need, and I can just walk into the dock, hop on a boat, and be out in the bay in five minutes. This boat club is great for people that love boating because of the varied choices of boats, but also because it is so easy and hassle free. I'm not sure I ever see myself buying my own boat. My only disappointment with the club is that they don't have jetskis. I believe that with the training they give , they can definitely find a way to incorporate jetskis and still have favorable insurance coverage. I may buy a jetski at some point but as far as boats, why buy my own when I have access to thousands of boats across the country? 10/10 recommend if you are in the market for a boat, check this out before you buy one.

(Like most people, this one is about their rental business versus sales, storage or service.)…read more Set up: Easy enough but fwiw, with the other OC based companies you can make reservations and pay via a website in advance. Here, you either show up and hope for the best or you do the smart thing and call to make a reservation. A good note to file would be if you want to save a few bucks, you do the early bird time at 9:30am. This can only be reserved in advance by phone which is what I did. Once you there, you pay, sign a waiver, get a life jacket on. After that everyone gets a brief talk about where you can and cannot ride, how to operate the water craft safely and what to do in case of different contingencies. This part maybe took three or four minutes and after that they tell you to mount your horse, turn it around for you and then it's time to go like hell. The hour does fly by as things tend to when you're knocking 40mph on one of these beasts. The area you get to ride in is by no means huge, but it's big enough to be able to hit top speed/rpm and yet everyone was very respectful of spacing and there were, at least from what I saw, no close calls or any reason for the two members of staff also out there to have to intervene. If you looking for some kind of cheap value play, this ain't it. Two people with the early bird is still just a smidge under three bills but, to a degree, the price is relative because you're paying for a very unique experience that is hard to put a price tag on. I guess the key for me is, would I come back and do it again? Duh. www.beesleyspointseadoo.com/

I have never met anyone in my life that's so rude, snarky, and condescending. From the the moment I arrived she gave us nasty looks and wouldn't answer our questions in full detail. Today, My family and I decided to rent a pontoon from them. There was 12 of us on board the pontoon and never imagined the pain and suffering we had to go through to make it back to shore. We decided to rent a pontoon for four hours to enjoy our day out in the water. It was our first time renting from this place. From the moment we rented the boat, it shut off 5 times during normal cruising speeds. We finally called and told them the boat keeps shutting off on us. So they gave us a few steps to try to troubleshoot the problem and nothing worked. They finally decide to send out a deck mate on a small diggy fishing boat that barely fits one person. It took him 40 mins to come out and meet us in the middle of the bay while we were anchored because the boat wouldn't start. He came out and inspected the boat and told us the motor took on water (not sure how this happened) and tried to tow us with the little boat while we're all onboard (completely illegal) instead of calling a tow boat service. While trying to tow (which was unsuccessful due to the weigh). Some passerby's pulled up next to us with their personal boat and decided to help us after they saw us all in distress and had us abandon our pontoon and get on their personal water craft for our safety and took us back to shore while the deck mate dealt with the pontoon in the middle of the bay as the water was beginning to get choppy and windy. Keep in mind we had coolers, bags, purses, etc. Which we all had to transfer from our pontoon to these random peoples boat trying to save us. Once we arrived back to the docks, I walk into the front office of the business and they act like nothing happened. They Wouldn't even apologize or sympathize with the bad experience all 12 of us just had for the past hour and half. All they worried about was keeping the deposit of $500.00, holding my credit card hostage (which is illegal according to Ocean City Police) The girl at the front wouldn't even reimburse us for the rental rates. YES THE POLICE WERE CALLED BY THE BUSINESS ON US. Thankfully Ocean City Police sided with us and told her she can't hold my credit card hostage. Ocean City PD told me this place always has the police called because of these same issues with other customers. The girl at the front continued telling us were to blame when there is no way we did anything wrong, we couldn't even speed due to the weight and size of the pontoon so how did the motor catch on water? They kept making a million and a half excuses why they wouldn't give me my deposit back! I URGE ALL OF YOU READER DO NOT DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star! The girls at the front are disgusting and quick to take your money and leave you without any information. Save yourself the headache. Find a different place!
