First off, to be honest, I've never been on this voyage. But, I kayak in the bay and repeatedly see the activity aboard the Sea Dragon and I can tell you everyone on this ship is having a great time, especially the children! I laugh out loud while watching the antics of the staff on the ship and just how curious and interested the young passengers are in what's going on. I don't have young children but if I did I would definitely be a passenger on the Sea Dragon! read more

This is a bit silly as expected, but it's done really well, I'd recommend it for kids ages 3 to 10. And the cost is reasonable. The hour-long trip has several interactive activities like looking for treasure and battling rival pirates, and the crew really gets the kids into it. The actual boat trip just covers a small area going in slow circles around the back bay, but that's really beside the point of this pirate adventure. read more

Really fun time . Our son is very shy but the crew and captain still made him feel part of the adventure. We took our 3.5 year old and 1.5 year old on the Pirate voyages and it was a fun experience for all. The crew is fun, charismatic and entertaining & great at engaging with the little ones! There is space in the back of the boat where I could take my younger one when the water wars ensued out front! My son is still talking about it! read more

Took my soon to be 7 yo son on this adventure with my mother in law. We go there 30 minutes early. It's on the bay side of Ocean City and about a few minutes from where we stayed (15th and Central). There was parking on the street but the lot was full because the Aquapark was going on at the same time. You get there early and go to the store, which has gifts and the bathroom and the person at the register will provide you with tickets for the ride. They do face paintings and tatoos, some pretty simple stuff, so don't go asking for a Picasso or anything cause it's the talented kids who basically covers the register, provides the pirate entertainment, and does the face painting. The ride was really entertaining as the crew consists of the captain and two high school girls providing entertainment (jokes and stories). If your kid is say 10 and under they would really enjoy it. I think the older ones would probably snicker a bit. But yea, great activity to take your kid on if you're here for a week! read more

Started off a little slow so I didn't know what to expect but these guys put a lot of work into these fun pirate themed boat rides. They make it super fun for the little kiddos including actual treasure for the kids :) Super nice staff and very entertaining! All kids get face paint before embarking. We went on a Saturday morning with three boys, ages 8, 5 and 2. They all loved it. The two year old was a little timid at certain parts being "scared" by the pirate, but overall he enjoyed it. They all got tattoos before boarding the ship. The staff was nice and the cost was reasonable. It's very interactive and entertaining for the kids (and adults too!) I would recommend this to anyone looking for something different to do while on vacation. read more

We left here 30 minutes ago and I felt extremely compelled to write this review. This is a fantastic place to take your kids for something "out of the norm" while on vacation. Our 5 year old loved it. Although she got scared by "Pirate Pete" and cried, Mate Bridget reassured her that the "bad guy is bye bye" after they fought him off. Bridget got her re-involved in a different task so she completely forgot about being scared. Now, my daughter is in the living room playing "the pirate ship" with her toys (saying lots of the same things we heard on the boat and stomping while shouting "ARGH!"). That's a sure sign of a successful trip! Thanks for the great time! read more

The women who owns the business is rude, she has no idea how to run this so called business the pirate voyage I was on with my family was only us... my kids had a terrible time because of the lack of other kids on the voyage,I will not be coming back the women at the front desk signing us in was rude and kept messing up our totals on our purchases. I showed up with one less person and was read the riot act however there was no one else on the trip. I will not be coming back, I've logged on as Jane doe in fear this owner women will come after me she doesn't know the first thing about running a business I will not be returning and I encourage you to do the same crew is nice and so is the captain but the people who own the business are out right terrible. read more

This was one of my favorite things I did with my son this beach trip! The hour long adventure is super interactive - kids get to do battle with water cannons against an evil pirate, look for an underwater treasure chew, and more! My 7 year old daughter LOVED IT but I think I loved it even more. It was fun, interactive, kept you on your toes and the crew made plenty of laughs for both kids and adults alike. I was really impressed and thought it was just perfect for the price and the time and the attention to detail. There were some 3-4 year olds who seemed scared and put off, but my daughter was right there with them from the beginning to end. So glad I found this gem! read more

We had a five year old birthday at this location during August 2016. We paid $500 in advance for a 20 child party. We provided all our own food. When the food arrived, we were angrily told that food had to come from a specific vendor and the owner better not see what we did. This information was not on the website or in the contract signed to hold the date. Despite providing a list of children's names and number of guests in advance, we were given only two small round picnic tables on which to eat. We were told we could set up additional chairs on our own, but we could not use any other picnic tables. These other five or more picnic tables remained completely empty throughout the party. There was also no staff available to assist with plating or handing out drinks. The boat ride included a captain and two mateys, college age. One of the mateys was clearly hung over. He smelled of stale alcohol. Despite the kids behaving well, he was very rude and tense with the children. The other matey pirate kept apologizing for him. The captain was disinterested in the party, impolite, and repeatedly got wrong who the birthday child was. He did nothing to intervene with the nasty pirate. After the boat ride, the staff had the nerve to hold the tip cup out for the guests after I placed a substantial amount of cash in it. This was extremely embarrassing to me as a host. I provided a tip after the ride that I thought was extremely sufficient for the short time of the boat ride, the rudeness of the hung over staff, and the lack of assistance at the location. It was more than I wanted to leave. While we were cutting cake and serving our five year old guests, a manager interrupted us, said we had to come inside immediately, and requested additional tip. Even if warranted, which it was not, it could have waited until after the children had their food. This company is not amenable to or prepared for children's parties. If they do not want children's parties at their location, they should not offer the service. read more

Our party used this company for a bachelor/bachelorette party and the beginning of the evening went very well. However, at the end of the night a member of our party was intoxicated and tried to climb a part of the ship he wasn't supposed to climb. Although he admitted he was in the wrong and attempted to apologize the trip was ended early without compensation. Also, the crew member that we spoke to dismissed the woman of our party that was trying to diffuse the situation. Prior to departure the party was not informed that the ride could be ended early upon discretion, nor were we notified of the locations of the life vests, which is a safety hazard. The man we spoke to was unprofessional and handled the situation poorly. However, the youngest member of the crew remained professional and jovial throughout the entire experience. Overall, I would not use this company again. read more
