I didn't expect perfection, this review has nothing to do with the student and everything to do with the lack of professionalism from the staff. I arrived at 10:45am with existing gel polish and overdue for a fill. My regular manicurist was out of town, so I decided to give the local nail school a try (the same one my manicurist graduated from). The student began removing my polish with a drill. I assumed she'd lightly drill, then wrap my nails in foil, but instead she drilled off the entire gel. Since my nails are naturally strong, I didn't critique her process, especially with her teacher nearby. About every 10 minutes the teacher stopped over, not to guide her, but to tell her to "pick up the pace." By 12pm (an hour in), she had just finished removing the polish. She attempted to trim and shape my nails, but her tools were dull. She asked her teacher for help, and the teacher briefly stepped in to cut my cuticles before walking away again. At 12:30, she began applying polish. I asked for a French manicure, but the base already had visible bubbles. Still, I remained patient - it's a discounted service after all. When she attempted the French tip, she quickly realized she didn't have the right brushes. After multiple failed attempts, she admitted: "I'm sorry, I can't do this. I've only been in school a few weeks and missed a lot of classes due to personal matters." I appreciated her honesty and asked if anyone else could finish. The teacher said no - it was nearly 2pm and she "didn't have time." At that point, I decided to leave. But when I went to check out, I was told I had to pay for the gel mani/pedi. I calmly explained that I'd been there for over 2.5 hours, the service wasn't completed, and I wasn't going to pay. The receptionist called the teacher, who immediately went off on me, condescendingly reminding me "this is a school," as if I hadn't already known. Here's what's most frustrating: the teacher saw the student struggling over and over. She had countless opportunities to step in, explain expectations, or even redirect me to a more advanced student. Instead, she idly stood by, pressured the student to "speed up," and ultimately abandoned us both. When I refused to pay for services that weren't rendered, I was told to "get the f** out and don't come back." Not only did I waste 2.5 hours, but I also had to find another salon to fix the damage. My nails were left thin and cracking at the base, requiring an overlay to strengthen them. This experience was unacceptable, not because of the student, but because of the staff's unprofessionalism. If you're considering going to this school for services, I urge you to think twice. The staff should be retrained in communication, accountability, and how to properly support their students. Worst experience ever!

The Boca campus is a complete JOKE they care more about their image than the integrity of their school. It's sad to see so much money go towards the funding of their lifestyle rather than the benefit of students. We were only allowed to use 2 wax strips per waxing session because the school refused to buy/provide more. The student "desk" are outdated. The towels in the Nail course have dry acrylic on them so they're hard and rough and haven't been replaced in YEARS. So are the towels for skin, they're torn up. The desk also have old dried up substances, only God knows what they are. Most of the equipment has not been updated. And God forbid a teacher cares enough to bring in her OWN salon supplies so the students get a better experience. NOPE, my teacher got in trouble for bringing in supplies. The director or whoever is in charge much rather make decisions based on emotion than what's best for student learning. Also witnessed my teacher get attacked by a student which was already sad within itself but the director was more concerned about saving the schools image rather than helping when authorities arrived. Didn't even see her check on my teacher (she may have after the fact but it wasn't her priority for sure) If you're looking to just get a degree without the learning then I'd say go for it. But the experience will most likely not be worth your money unless you get a teacher who genuinely cares (they typically quit or get fired when they try speaking up). You can definitely get a better experience for the same price elsewhere. Cosmo tends to have a bit of a better experience just bc I'm sure the funding is different so the school invest in them more but every program should have an equal opportunity especially giving the fact it's not cheap. However, I heard the Parkland campus isn't so bad. Also received NO help throughout my graduation process I didn't know I was graduating until the day of and they do NOT help you obtain your license or job placement. U literally leave and just never comeback, the most help I received was an email with the link for my license. By far the most DISGUSTING staff and school I have ever came across in the beauty industry. The school is just sorry overall and most people will not enjoy their experience attending here. God bless the teachers there who genuinely care.

All of them willingly and openly share their knowledge and experience. It was very large amount of information, but thanks to how easy it is for Kler to provide us, and for her wonderful energy, everything is perceived much easier, feeling like a family member, not a student. The prices are extremely inexpensive however recently they started adding $10 to my hair for it being long. It's funny though that they realized my hair was long only after 5-6 visits. This might have been a direction from management or other factors involved. That being said, the students are excellent and fun to chitchat with while getting services. I've gotten haircuts and trimming of hair. As well as a good shampoo and blow dry. I like that they take their time, so if your low on time don't go here. In the past I have gotten facials/face scrubs from here as well. The manicures and pedicures are just average, I think the hair services are the best thing which is offered here. You can make appointments over the phone, I don't think they do walk in appointments.
