We love the food, ambiance, and the grocery! Fun place to go in Sioux Falls! Try the salads!

Saw this restaurant on Guy Fieri and it was only 6 min from our hotel so had to try it! Order at counter and take a seat with your number and they will bring out your dinner. Sunday is an additional menu with steak, filet and prime rib ( which they were out of by 6 pm!). My husband had the pricey filet which did not come with sides! It was excellent cooked over oak on grill but for $50 they could have thrown in a potato at least. We shared a beet salad which was very good. I had the shaved steak sandwich which came with seasoned fries. Sandwich was on a large ciabatta roll baked in house. Both were delicious. The dining area we sat is was so noisy! We did not realize the was a smaller room off of it that was quieter. Outside would have been great but it was too windy. The store, bakery, butcher shop and deli were cool but prices were definitely higher than we are used too. Food was 5 star, ambiance 3 star. If they are going to serve pricey food- have a sit down service area! read more

It's a cool market place / restaurant! The restaurant is like a high end steak house as far as Quality and flavor and price but it's in a cafeteria/ food court ambiance!! Noisy and hectic with a lot of people and kids!!! We were passing through town and looked at dinners driving and dives an it came up ! It was a Sunday and they advertised prime rib !! It opened at 4:00 we got there around 5:15 just our luck as we were standing in line the guy came over right in front of us and put up a sign " out of prime rib " so I got the 10 oz fillet order it medium rare for $50 that's all you got ! Sides were extra $ 8.00 - $12.00 like a fancy steak house I ordered it medium rare , our recipe said the same it came more medium well only faint pink! It was still delicious moist juicy and tender! I did love it! The wife loved her shaved steak sandwich it came with plenty of flavored fries there was enough for 2 ! I wish they had a separate quiet room for adults only so we could really enjoy our $100 meal! The food was 5 stars cafeteria was far less ! read more

The food was so good I forgot to take a picture until after I demolished it. I've wanted to eat here for a hot minute and finally got my chance this past weekend! It was very busy and bustling, which means other people know just how good it is. I had the smash burger and my husband had the fried chicken sandwich. We shared fries. We are now both big fans of Look's. The openness of the restaurant space is very nice, but can be hard to find a seat. read more

If you're passing through Sioux Falls, Look's Marketplace is a must stop attraction. The marketplace has a selection of "gourmet" food items and their own brand of sausages and meats. The marketplace isn't comprehensive but it has a good variety of items that you may find enjoyable. The dining area is within a large rotunda at the back of the store. Our party of four tried the Motor City pizza, it's big and delicious. The Porcules sandwich is over the top, perhaps a bit too much for some people, but pretty tasty. The Oklahoma Smash burger is spot on. Our daughter never orders a salad except at this place she ordered the Caesar salad and loved it. We also tried the beet salad which was quite nice as well. The layout features an open kitchen and it's great to see them preparing your food. Great place and experience at Look's. Plenty of free parking in front. read more

A cool, family-friendly venue with pizza and burgers and an on-site marketplace. We're talking dry goods, take and bake, a butcher counter and more. We were traveling from NC to SD to visit friends and we were there on a Saturday night, so I feel like it was a good time to assess the busy-ness level. We grabbed menus and were able to peruse while we waited in line to order. We found a table inside, though there was a really nice big outdoor patio, and settled down. My teens loved their pizza and we were able to sit and talk without having to shout over the noise. We have been to Sioux Falls 5 or 6 times now to see our friend but this was our first visit to Look's and I will definitely add it to our list. Six thumbs up from we three travelers. The food was very delicious, the fries could have been a bit thicker, but otherwise the Porcules was tasty with the chili lime mayo. The whole building itself was cool, there is a marketplace entrance that has a butcher shop, cool artisanal things, and the service is a to-go and dine-in hybrid, love the kombucha by Songbird, a local kombucha brewing place. read more

After seeing this place on Triple D we have been wanting to visit for quite sometime and finally made it! The ordering process was fairly painless even as busy as it was. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The crust on the pizzas were amazing! The sauce on the pizzas we good not great, would have preferred a choice for sliced mozzarella, but am nitpicking a bit after having eaten many Margherita pizzas from multiple places. But overall the crust of the pizzas shined through. The sandwiches were really good and the buns were awesome . They were generously sized with really good meats. The atmosphere is fun and inviting with indoor and outdoor seating. The market area is really cool with a lot of unique and imported goods at reasonable prices. Definitely will come back. read more

I cannot comment on the food or service as I never even got a chance to order. I was given a couple of options to order, I chose to sit down and order using QR code. I went through the menu and found some choices... when I got to the part where I pay... both of my valid credit cards were declined. One was a Navy Federal cu bank card. The other was a Costco Citi bank card. I NEVER have any issues with these cards. The app is horrible. I went to order at the counter... now there a line. I left and probably won't come back... your food looks great and very well may be outstanding... but you lost a customer due to a crappy app/order service. I was so looking forward to eating here as the reviews are phenomenal. read more

We usually have Look's Takeout about once a week as it is much better food than fast food.... so thats what I wanted for my Mother's Day dinner and I love the Turkey Club. I ordered online and my husband went to pick it up as usual and came home with no Turkey Club. He had to call and then go back and get it. No sorry. No here's a dessert for the trouble... nothing. So, they are on the time out list... who knows when we'll be back, which is worse for us than it is for them. read more

Cutest upscale market with a market (fresh veggies, fruit), meat market/deli case with fancy cheeses and prime beef, a sit down restaurant, bakery and gelato station -what's not to like? Arrived around 2:30 pm, very quiet. I ordered a spinach salad with crispy prosciutto and hazelnuts with a hazelnut salad dressing which was delicious! The service was quick. This spot is connected to a golf course but better yet is connected to a speciality grocery store. As you walk through the market you will see the bbq, meats, breads, and lunch meats and different things to pair with...including beverages. The menu has a lot of variety. Heat Seeker Pizza - had a little kick of spice but good. The pizza could feed 2 easily. Pepperoni, jalapeño, Italian, sausage, and hot Honey. Porcules - this has pulled pork, smoked pork, belly, pit sausage, barbecue sauce, pickled onions, arugula, chili lime mayo on a ciabatta bun. You will see this in most people's review. It's a good sandwich get a side of ranch for dipping. The sausage is the best part. Hot Italian - good sandwich nothing special. Get a side of fries. We sat outside which backs up to the golf course. Such a great place! On a quick business trip to SF, this place was recommended by a colleague and it was fantastic. It is a unique set up of market/restaurant/brewery/cafe/butcher shop that is tough to quickly describe to friends. The food was very good, plus the prices were great! Never had a bad sandwich or pizza and always try to hit it at least twice during the week when on my trips Wait times for the ordering queue were long and could use some work; maybe a different format, like ordering and paying from a QR code at the table would help. read more

Love the food and the vibes, but the consistently obscene wait time makes it almost impossible to eat here. Expect a minimum of a 40 minute wait no matter what you order. There are plenty of "busy" places and none of them have this problem. read more

I love eating at Looks Marketplace in Sioux Falls. The food never fails to impress. This time, I ordered the country club sandwich with French fries and a side of beer cheese. The club sandwich is huge. I really should have only had half, but it tasted so good. Post meal, I felt extremely stuffed. The French fries have the perfect level of crispiness, and the beer cheese is good--not my absolute favorite, but still one of the better ones I've tasted. Be sure to sample something from the bakery. The cinnamon twist donut tastes delicious, with a light and fluffy texture that leaves cinnamon on your fingers. Additionally, the chocolate cold brew cookies taste incredible. While you won't instantly taste the cold brew, it does improve the flavor of the cookie. The employees and waitstaff are so kind and friendly. They are always happy to help or answer questions. I have yet to have a bad experience at Looks Marketplace. read more

I failed to get pics of main course but everything was delicious. French dip sandwich, amazing. Grilled cheese on sourdough- so good. Walleye and burger also hit the spot for others. We shared a skillet cookie for dessert and it was highly satisfying. Warm gooey cookie center yet crispier browned edges paired with the homemade ice cream. And then we took home a batch of cinnamon rolls from the bakery for breakfast and my heavens they are delicious. That frosting! ... Probably a good thing we are traveling and don't live closer to this restaurant or else we would be in trouble. ... it is like what Dean and Deluca wanted to be but local and unique and better. One word, HORRIBLE! How can you mess up a BLT. I said no mayo, no butter on toast. so they soaked bread in grease and grilled it. yes dripping with grease. And may as well have forgotten the tomato at 1/8" thick may just as well not have it. And bacon was not drained just stacked on one another and refrigerated, so pasted together with solidified grease. We have relatives here, and will never eat here again read more

Sat at the bar. Waited 20 minutes before anyone took our drink order. After we ordered our food it took 55 minutes to receive it. Only after we had to ask about it. Once it finally arrived, everything was cold. Never had anyone come by and ask how everything was. Bad service, bad food, mediocre staff. read more

Is it a butcher shop, craft cheese shop, brewery or restaurant. All of the above. Situated in the south end of Sioux Falls, this is such a cool place. A little difficult to find the first time but glad I did. I was traveling for business so couldn't really shop for meats and cheeses but I saddled up to the bar and enjoyed their beers. The food looked so good, I decided to sample a few things. Food is ordered at a counter and they deliver to you inside or outside. Everything looked good but definitely try the wings. The chicken sandwich was just okay because the slaw made it more soggy than crispy but still good. Great bartenders get things moving while still being cordial and friendly. However, the pizza wasn't as good as the previous time we dined here...burnt crust which is fine, but this was so burnt that it took away from the actual pizza taste. Neat little market & restaurant. Crowded at 5:30 on a weekday evening (a good sign). All the food we ordered was really good & would get again. We had a great dinner here, and picked up a few local groceries, too. The menu is extensive- and the staff at the counter was friendly and answered our questions (and let us sample some beer!) The burgers seem to be a staple - and you can build your own combo or get one of their signatures. I also got the tomato soup, so if you need a vegetarian option, it was delightful. The fries were good- and the ones with chimichurri were even better. The grocery side had lots of fun local options for beer, jams, pickles, etc. and the bakery was stocked with beautiful pastries. Great place to stop for a bite to eat or grab some groceries! Fresh meats, cheese and baked goods are ready for you to grab. Place was busy just before Christmas but we were able to place our order in a reasonable amount of time and the kiddos enjoyed watching them make pizzas with our short wait before the food was brought out. Butcher pizza tasted great. Started with a basket of fries and cheese curds. We will be back next time we are in town! read more

The bar staff knows what they are doing. For first timers the building is a little confusing but walk through the front door and keep going until you run into the bar. Find a seat and enjoy.
