Came on prior to a concert met some friends. Put in our order and order and waited on our food. I was excited for what we ordered which was chicken nachos & the fried chicken tenders . The restaurant itself is very nice, parking is very comvinient, and the staff was very friendly - unfortunately the issue was the food. The nachos were very tasty there was just not a lot of cheese at all there was also no sour cream or guacamole and about a million tomato's . I think better attention to detail would've made this app a total winner. The fried chicken was borderline burnt not enough batter on chicken breast that was cooked extra crispy & very salty, I didn't eat it at all after a few bites it was just too crispy salty & dry. Other reviewers are accurate when they say this place does nickel/dime for every condiment outside ketchup and mustard. The burgers are pretty small, but our server warned us and offered to add an extra patty (which we didn't). The quesadilla is good, but they charge extra to add sour cream. The set up is a little strange, with a long wide open space before the bar, and a few booths along the side. Felt weird. Thankfully we didn't sit in that area. First, can I just say what a gem this whole complex was to discover while traveling? The welcome from host and server was great for a surprisingly busy time of night (8p). The food is fairly simple bar food but high quality and well priced. The smash burger, although in the smaller side of what would be typical elsewhere, was the perfect amount for a person to not be stuffed! The spinach salad was extremely fresh and flavorful. We were in town for hockey and stayed at a hotel next door. The first night was my son's 18th birthday and I tried to place a to go order for dinner and cheesecake. His game ended at 9 pm and I attempted to place an online order. It wouldn't go through so I called the restaurant. I was told it was after 9 (9:05 pm) and they wouldn't accept any to go orders. So disappointing, had to order pizza from somewhere else. The next day we ate lunch in the restaurant and the food was good. We had the boneless wings and the Buffalo chicken wrap. Last night we ate dinner in the restaurant. It wasn't that busy but understaffed. We waited about 10 minutes before Leah asked if we had been helped, she said no one told her we were in her section. We ordered the chicken crunch sandwich and the grilled cheese. The chicken sandwich was terrible, mostly bread and very little chicken. My son said it was flavorless. The grilled cheese was okay, wouldn't recommend it. We waited another 15 minutes after we finished eating for Leah to come back. My son wanted the cheesecake that I tried to order the first night. Three stars simply because it has 1919 root beer and I love this root beer. This is a huge space, and was not at all busy - which is a good thing because I joined the wait list via Yelp and when I got there they said that doesn't connect to their system and they have no idea where it goes. We are on our way out west so thankful they could seat us quickly. Being from WI, we know cheese curds. You can skip these. We had to ask for ranch, and then ask again for plates. Our meals came out very fast. I had the crunchy chicken sandwich and the breading on the chicken had an almost bitter taste to it especially in the more well done areas. Maybe the fryer is due for an oil change? It was otherwise fine. My kids had the margarita flatbread and were disappointed - tomatoes tasted funny per their report. A couple of burgers rounded out our table and those were fine. Serviceable for a quick meal on the road and it looks like it's great for a beer and a bite after little Susie's softball game or a whatever else brings you to the Sanford sports complex. This might be the worst sandwich I've ever had in restaurant. I had the crunchy chicken sandwich and fries. The fries were not terrible. The sandwich/chicken was obviously microwaved. It was a processed very thin rubbery chicken patty that was soggy and maybe took up half of the size of the bun. No flavor, limp, and sad. McChicken would have been 100 times more appealing. Wife had a burger which was ok, but it was more like slider size, small, thin and a little bun. She hated the fries and she likes more fries than me. Expensive for the food quality for sure. We had a reservation for four at 5:15; we walked in at 5:12 and were told they were ready to give our table away. It took 30 minutes to get drinks and 1 1/2 hours to get 2 burgers and 2 chicken sandwiches. Waitress never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks. We looked for our waitress twice to see if our food was coming as we had a game that started at 7. Food came out at 6:45, we had 5 minutes to eat and no water or drink refills to wash down the food. Decided to try this place as I have been seeing it packed every time I attend an event at the Pentagon. Atmosphere was nice walking in. Like an upscale sports bar. We ordered 2 top shelf Margaritas to start along with appetizer of a Giant pretzel. It was served with a side of some sort of pepper jack cheese queso and a cinnamon caramel dip. We also ordered an app of Chislic. The pretzel was good. Comes out hanging on a giant wooden frame. Chislic was good but lacked seasoning. Then came the entrees of Margarheta Flatbread and a Mess with Me smash burger with jalapeños and black aioli sauce. My burger was excellent. A little small but very tasty. Flatbread was decent. No complaints. Bottom line, food was decent and about what I expected at a sports bar. Definitely will come back. Our server Daytona was good. As usual, not as talkative as I prefer but no complaints. I like chatty waitresses with personality. Makes for a more fun experience. Drinks were strong and made well. In from out of town for a soccer tournament. Came in late for dinner. First ones in line at the hostess desk. We are told it will be about 45 minutes before we can order dinner but we can sit with beverages. We accept this, not in a hurry to be anywhere. We sit down in a half filled bar area. Our waitress is walking around, not carrying trays of food or beverages. After several passes she stops and takes our drink orders. One wine, one beer, 3 waters. The waters arrive immediately. 20+ minutes later no beer or wine or menus to plan dinner orders. She's walking around - not sure what she's actually doing. We hear the table next to us say it's been 1hr 20m since they ordered...still waiting... I find our waitress at the hostess stand chatting. I ask why it's taking so long for drinks. The waitress responds in a bit of a huff that she's waiting on the bartender to "make the drinks". Not a believable response, dear. Such a convenient location when staying the the nearby hotel for work. I was hesitant based on another review, but I am so glad I went! I sat at the bar and got wonderful service. The beer selection is good. I had a caprese salad for an app and the asada tacos for dinner. Both were delicious! If I had to ask for one improvement, I wish the caprese was on a little bed of spring mix to make it more salad like, but it was so fresh, and so good as is! Took our whole crew here for Mother's Day. Awful service. Food was just ok. Was a buffet and most bins were empty yet lots of teenagers standing around and the manager was sitting at front doing absolutely nothing. We finally were seated. Waited 20 minutes and finally called over another server who helped a few minutes. She could not find our server. Then some other girl named Merina came and announced herself as our server and said there was some confusion as to who had our tabl and she would be helping us. The 1st girl had brought our mimosas and water. Merina brought more water and a Mr pibb No one explained what the deal was for mothers mimosas and we thought it was mimosas that were botomless. As the advertisement is vague and mis leading. No one checked on us for drinks from that point on. I finally brought our empty mimosas glasses up to the bar where Merina was tending bar. She reluctantly gave me 2 more and was questioning me if I was a mother? Clearly there was confusion on her part. She seemed snotty about it and I was already mad that the service had been horrendous. She then said something to the effect that your server should be bringing them to you and explaining this to you and I was like " you are our server". She was like "Are you at the middle table. "I was like "yah. No one has been there. "So she clearly had been gone so long she forgot who we were and she was questioning if I was a mother which was strange and said she needed to check? " at any rate she the asked if the 3 rd mother needed one and I said yes. So when she came and brought it she again was was all about they are not bottomless as I was going to order another. Then my husband was like well your advertising said otherwise.my daughter asked for another Mr Pibb. She had to ask 2 times and when Merena brought it she actually told my daughter that it was probably quite watered down as she poured it along time ago and then forgot about it. Really?!I also brought up that our service had been less than stellar and she said not to be mean to her as she was tending bar and decided to pick up our table out of the kindness of her heart. Meanwhile there are servers standing around up front dong absolutely nothing including the manager. We asked to speak with the manager and that was not much better. He basically said oh yah we will take the mimosas off as she was charging us for them but wasn't going to do anything more than that for the horrible service. He said the reason the service was so bad was she was making all the mimosas . He seemed very insincere in his apology and didn't really care that we were spending 300 plus dollars for absolutely no service and smart mouths. Unfortunately the weather was rainy or we would have dined out at one of their nice patios... so instead we grabbed take-out and ate in the hotel. We might have eaten in the restaurant but none of the staff were wearing masks despite the pandemic. Yeah it is the Dakotas so it is an infringement on individual rights to wear a mask... blah blah blah. Minus one star for no masks. The food was quite good. My Nashville chicken sandwich had good spice and was made with thigh meat which is more moist and tastier than a breast. The sauce definitely tasted like Frank's hot sauce. The Buffalo chicken wrap was very spicy so be warned. Their fries were very good and crispy. Also the side Caesar salad was very fresh and good. Once to order, once to drop off drinks, once to drop off the food and then one more time to pay the bill. It is a large building that was at less than half capacity so I can't even chalk it up to being a busy night. We had time to look over the entire menu and make our selection, two cheeseburger baskets and a basket of cheese curds for an appetizer, before we were seen for drinks. Upon receiving our order we immediately noticed that the pop was flat, the curds came out the same time as the burgers and tasted like they had been sitting in the window for 10 minutes and the "smash" burgers were about 1/2" thick and sized appropriately to be called sliders. read more

Only downfall and the primary reason for the rating is there are minimal dining options for vegans. Put a Beyond or Impossible Burger on the menu and we'd go here everytime we're in Sioux Falls. Even though this is just across the street from our hotel, we're going to Granite City and Crave for lunches and dinners this weekend. Great location near Sanford sports complex. This restaurant has been completely redone. Great outside areas and roof top deck. Huge parking lot and tons of seating. I had a burger and it tasted good. Daughter had Mac and cheese but didn't like it. We had the molten cake they light on fire. We had such a great experience here. The food was excellent, our service was good considering how busy it was and the inside of the restaurant was fun and comfortable. If there are any draw backs to eating here it's just that there are tons of people in the surrounding sports parks. If there are tournaments, Stampede games or other big happenings, it can get to be a long wait here. For example, we waited 45 mins for lunch on a Saturday during hockey season. It was worth it though, and the kids found stuff to do. We had pizza, the bacon-tini appetizer, a burger and several drinks. That being said, if you are one of those people so starved for attention that you would like a server at your table more than once every 45 minutes, this may not be the place for you. Made my way to the Dakota To see my family relations. Shook hands, kissed babies, talked smack, My typical undulation. Then packed my junk in the car And headed out a bit early. My bro and pop said wait a minute! It's just now beer thirty! We plopped our course on GPS, Like we're always able. And headed on over to my bro's namesake This Will's Training Table!
