First off, the level of care given can only come from a true dog lover!!! I am a worry-wart parent and I get very upset leaving my baby with anyone. Due to a mauling of my dog at another groomer my Noelle is very nervous when she sees and even hears other dogs. She is a people friendly Cockapoo Mix that hates being around unfamiliar dogs. She will bark and snarl and even start salivating at the sight of other dogs. This can be quite the challenge when it comes time for her 6-week grooming appointments! When I first called to book my appointment, I was completely upfront about Noelle's history of being attacked and that she now acts defensive when dogs are around. I could tell Olivia understood why Noelle barks and growls at other dogs. She made me feel confident that she grooms other dogs with the same anxiety and even called it a form of dog PTSD. The owner, Olivia, told me she would make certain that Noelle was the only dog in the shop and even suggested coming in last appointment of the day to make sure no dogs would be dropped off during her grooming. I was welcomed straight away, and they had all my contact information ready for verification while Noelle sniffed around. The owner, Olivia, asked me if I had something specific in mind for her cut. I am so used to groomers telling ME how to groom her! I told her I am not picky, but I explained I needed the hair on her feet as short as possible because of Noelle's seasonal allergies. Olivia shared some tips on how to soothe her inflamed feet and asked if we have ever done Clean Poodle Feet. I was unsure but I trusted her advice when she said it would make her feet very easy to wipe off after walks. Then Olivia asked if Noelle had any pain where her enormous scars are from her incident. I explained to be careful picking her up and she allowed me to show her how. I was happy when Olivia asked if I wanted to leave enough length to conceal her scarred rib cage after I had forgotten to mention it! Our whole check in time lasted about 25 minutes and I left knowing she was with someone who cared about how she was feeling on the inside and out. A couple hours later and I got a text that she was almost ready and to head on down. I was so excited when I saw her! Olivia had done everything we talked about before I left and on top of all that Noelle got a teeth brushing and nail filing with her groom! Usually I have to pay extra for "add ons" so that was a pleasant surprise. 6 weeks later I decided to give Looking Sharp another whirl.....I thought the first time was great but WOW the second groom..BEST GROOM SHE HAS EVER HAD BY FAR! I don't know how she does it, but I have never used a more talented groomer. Olivia really made my dog look like a show dog and I could tell my dog felt as good as she looked. She was the softest ever and smelled like heaven! And both times, I went to drop and pick my dog she was the ONLY dog there as promised. This really puts my mind at ease knowing she is safe at the groomers. I even recommended a few friends over to Looking Sharp and everyone has called me just to say thank you. I can't believe I am actually excited to take Noelle to her groomer! I never thought she would enjoy it again either! Thank you, Olivia, for the wonderful service and beautiful haircut! Please, please, please do not take your dog here. I'm writing this review to warn others that the business owners are very aggressive toward customers that experience any issues and it is a very shady business. All we simply did was give them a negative review after our pup got a bad and choppy haircut per the pictures I posted and it has resulted in them posting our full names on Yelp and harassing us constantly and name-calling. They handle negative experiences with begging Yelp to remove the bad reviews and the good ones are all clearly fake. I am reporting them to the BBB. Please read all the one star reviews on this business (the 5 star reviews are highly likely fake) before you decide to take your dog here. I feel the need to really warn others before taking their dog here. They do not ask for shot records and whenever a customer brings an issue (as stated in previous reviews) they make up lies and make threats (even posting their customers private personal information and refusing to remove it). Notice how they say they ask and not require shot records. After I left this review about privacy concerns about posting a last name, they added the last name into their response multiple times. The business owners are literally acting insane, they first violated their customers privacy by posting their last name, they refuse after several requests to take it down and stalked his Facebook profile and are now posting my last name and other customers! YOU DO NOT WANT TO TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO HAVE YOUR INFORMATION. Also, I am a customer as I booked the appointment for our dog, Eleanor 2/7/2020. Just because Devyn paid doesn't mean I wasn't a customer also. We came together. Here are phone records that I booked the appointment under my name. Guess they will have to edit their response of lying again. They keep updating their review. Lol Devyn did not give my phone number, I booked the appointment under my name, we just happened to use Devyns card to pay. It's absolutely unbelievable this place is still in business. They removed the pictures I posted proving that J am in fact a customer so I have to post the pictures on this review. They are so shady that they spend more time contacting Yelp to remove bad reviews than actually grooming dogs (obviously, per the pictures I have posted of my dogs haircut) any time they get a bad review (which clearly happens all the time) they either harass their customers or harass Yelp to remove them. read more

My Whoodle (soft coated wheaten terrier/poodle), Sadie, has been groomed by Olivia since she was an itty bitty puppy. After missing our groomer for months my husband and I were jumping for joy when we found her new location! I loved how Olivia so much I would put up with the ridiculous wait times at the other salons just to have Sadie looking her best. That's no issue anymore! The owner told me that the typical time it takes to groom my dog was 2 hours which floored me because we had been waiting up to 4 hours at her previous spot. Olivia explained how she would be forced to groom multiple dogs at a time and how she thought our dogs deserved something better! Now Sadie has 100% of Olivia's attention, which is great because her 4 hour groom, now takes less then 3 hours. Prefect for running to the store for some groceries! I know Sadie appreciates the fact that she goes straight on the grooming table when she arrives too! She doesn't seem as antsy as she did when she would have a wait before her groom to begin. This is my third time in and I still love how good my dog looks. I really like the complimentary TEETH BRUSHING AND NAIL DREMEL. I was so confident in her grooming, I even recommended Sadie's liter mates to Olivia. I can tell Olivia takes the time to make sure my dog does not get matting by spot trimming her problem areas a little bit shorter than her body. Trust me, that is not a level of service I have gotten from other groomers! Sadie comes back to me happy from being treated at the spa and she always smells like fresh plums! Yum! read more

Olivia (business owner and groomer) is truly amazing!!! I recently moved across the valley to Tempe and I had been reading reviews and talking to groomers for months, I came across nothing that made me feel confident enough to trust someone new with my puppies, so I kept driving 40mins both ways to appointments!! I eventually called Looking Sharp Dog Grooming from the tireless list on google maps and left a message (as it was before business hours). Olivia responded to my voicemail shortly after opening and immediately made me feel as though she would love and care for babies as much as I do. With enthusiasm she booked two next day appointments for Sebastian (golden doodle) and Zuka (adopted mix). She loves all things doodles as I'm sure you can see in her pictures, so Sebastian won her over instantly! She made us feel soo welcome in a new salon! Such a cute little family business. I would definitely recommend getting on Olivia's books before her business is booming and you can't get in!!!! read more

I don't understand the review posted before me complaining about an unclean environment or the owner being rude.. I've been to quite a few dog grooming salons and so far, Looking Sharp is the cleanest establishment I've experienced. Definitely NOT a dirty place by any means. As for the owner, he is professional and polite as expected in any business owner. I don't believe he could make any woman feel unsafe in the establishment by any means. All the groomers who work there are women themselves? It just doesnt sit right. I've had great experiences bringing my dogs to Looking Sharp. They are very thorough with their grooms and use very good shampoos and conditioners, I can tell by how soft and clean their coats always turn out. Which cannot be said by many other salons ive tried. I would definitely try it for yourself, and you will see. read more

I cannot recommend enough! No words will do this place justice. My shih tzu, Moooshu, has sensitive skin and always gets razor burn when he's shaved. But not here. My dog left so happy, smelling so good, and had absolutely zero razor burn. I have taken my dogs here twice now, and both times they have done an excellent job! One of my dogs is less than thrilled to have his nails touched, and we have had issues before where places have refunded a portion because they could not get them done, but not here! Their nails are always short and neat and my pups always look happy and well taken care of when I pick them up. Highly recommend read more

Wow!! I am so amazed by the love these people have for our pets. We brought in our frenchie puppy as well as our German Shepard and they did an outstanding job blowing out my German Shepard , and out puppy was so happy and so soft!!
