Jackson's buyout of the regional chain (pilot/flying J) hasn't been that great for customer service, especially for some truckers. Also, crime has been a problem at this Truck Stop, and the Ontario PD has had to put one of those flashing blue camera towers in front of it every night. The food is average truck stop fare. The Arby's is decent, and the customer service is attentive and above average. The little Mexican restaurant hidden behind the Truck Stop is open crazy hours and I like a lot.

I recently moved here and was honestly dismayed by the lack of places that clean the inside of your car too. Yes, I'm lazy. I've accepted it. I tried one of the "hand car washes" near Boise. It was... okay. But they frequently missed parts of my car despite using protein-based robots to do the washing. Apparently the metal robots have the advantage -- those things are like EverReady batteries: they just keep going and going. I was paying more for the hand wash, getting so-so results, and usually waiting in a big line. Their interior service was fine, but I think the Overland location is every bit as good. Then there's another alleged über-premium "hand job" car wash in town. But before you can experience the pleasure of their hand job, you apparently have to buy some fancy wax/detailing package first. They were also the priciest place I found. Never tried it. Maybe it's a unicorn. Now I never will. It felt a little like dealing with a nightclub bouncer: apparently I'm just not good enough to be allowed in and overpay for a car wash. Anywho... At the Overland location, while you wait for the interior service, they've got free popcorn, soda, water, coffee, and some comfortable couches. Reasonably priced unlimited plan, good interior cleaning, comfortable place to wait, and no velvet rope at the entrance. Alas, my search for a clean car is ova!
