I was lucky enough to receive a gift card/coupon for an express interior wash. I drove into Metro Express Carwash and was greeted by a guy asking what kind of wash I would like for my car. I gave him the gift card and I told him this was my first time here. He explained to me that I would go through the exterior wash and then make a left right after it finished. I went through the exterior car wash and enjoyed my time relaxing as it automatically just moved my car forward and through the wash. Please note, if it's your first time going through this wash, there is a sign to your left and an attendant there to help guide you. Be sure to put your car in neutral once the attendant clears you from getting onto the platform. At this point, don't press the brakes (I know, scary right?!), roll up your windows, and enjoy the smooth ride! After it was done, because I got the express interior wash, I made an immediate left and another left into the garage. I was then greeted by another attendant who showed me what to do afterwards. He told me I will be leaving my car there and I can take my keys with me. He then showed me the waiting room. Now the waiting room was pretty awesome. It was so comfortable and cozy with complementary drinks (soda, water, coffee, tea) and a popcorn stand. In the corner of the room is a tip station. If you're in this room, I highly suggest leaving a tip for the attendants who were working on your car. I'm not entirely sure how it's distributed, but I'm guessing that they'll split it evenly amongst everyone who worked that day. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here at Metro Express Carwash. Crew here is incredible. I started coming last year for a SUV I bought in 2022. They are through, clean, and I love the monitors they have to watch what they are doing (it's entertaining). Waiting area is clean. They even had basketball on the TV next to my window. They are kind, professional, and have great communication with each other. I could tell that Austin is a good leader. I would have liked getting more of the bugs off and the tire dressing to be a bit better but overall a very nice job and staff. The sides of my car got a nice wash but the back was still dirty. This is my fault since I didn't get out to inspect my car after it was washed, but I typically trust that the carwash will do a good job. I understand why the payment station has an attendant out to help people pay for washes in case they have trouble since some people don't understand machines, that said, it feels a little bit like a ploy to get someone tip money for doing nothing, which I resent. It's also not much of a job to just put people's credit cards in a slot (virtually all other car washes use this system without needing human support). The carwash itself seems quite effective. Even the basic wash got my car mostly clean. Since the add-on services are invisible I tend not to purchase them as I can never really tell if they do anything. I do appreciate that you can use their vacuums (I assume any time?) and they have a crevice tool that allows you to really get into the nooks and crannies if you need to. In sum: a better choice than most, but not the best. read more

I've been a monthly unlimited member for several years now. They used to be great, but something happened at some point in the last several months (summer of 2023). They are now incredibly slow; expect an hour wait for interior (used to be 20-40 minutes max), customer service isn't the same, quality isn't the same. Used to be a 5/5 that I raved about to all friends and family. Is now a 3/5 and I can't make the same recommendation anymore. May not hang on much longer if things don't get straightened out. read more

Worst car wash ever! It took them 1.5 hours. There was at least 4 cars that pulled up after me in different bays, and they were finished before mine! Horrible interior and exterior wash. I asked the guys why it took so long and why people were getting their cars done before mine and all they said was they go by a number on our ticket, bs! Went in today and waited just under 90 minutes from the time I drove in to the car wash until leaving and this was with only 9 others cars in the garage when I drove in so not overly busy. No sense of urgency, no hustle, two guys at the entrance and neither one were really doing anything... Sad to see this place go downhill so drastically. AMAZING!! They let me go through twice with my incredibly dirty Jeep after an off-roading adventure. The vacuums were the best I've EVER used (3rd space, drivers side - the pass side vac was only average, so I used the ds one for the whole Jeep). It sucked so hard that the seats went from dust colored to deep black in one contrasting swipe! Plus, there's an air gun to blow out all the little crevices and clean damp shammie towels provided to wipe down windows, wet spots, or anything the automated wash missed. read more

I decided to try Metro Express Car wash because they had a sign for a special on Thursdays. After I entered the car queue I was told by a rep that there was no such special. So first off, this is deceptive marketing. Rather than have the inconvenience of exiting the line and since I had travelled to the car wash I decided to not waste the trip and pay the regular full price which is actually a little higher than other places. I instantly regretted the decision moments later when I had to interact with the guy who directs vehicles into the wash tunnel. He was so rude, abrasive and arrogant! Very disappointing but of course the last opportunity that Metro Express Car Wash will get to behave this way to me again. read more

I don't wash my car often, but when I do, I like to use an automatic car wash. Especially in the dead of winter. Who wants to get sprayed with high pressure water and oily soap when it's 40 degrees? Not me, thank you! I've been to Metro 3 times. I always get the cheapest $7 wash (I mean I don't think Hilda, the 2004 Honda Pilot, deserves to treat herself). And despite my frugal ways, my car comes out sparkly clean each time. I especially like the high powered dryers which wick away almost all of the moisture, making the manual labor of wiping Hilda down with a towel almost obsolete. I will say the car wash is LOUD and a tad aggressive. "Hungry", my 4 year old, thinks its a delightful show put on just for her, and "Hurricane", the 1 year old, shrieks in fear. That only escalates the noise level. I love that they have super vacuums with long hoses to suck away all those goldfish bits and flecks of granola from the floor. They also have air compressor hoses to refill your tires. My main annoyance (and the reason for 4 stars) is that I HATE that they have some poor 16 year old waiting by the pay machine to "assist" me in my purchase. Listen Colton, I may have had to use dial up internet once upon a time, but I do know how to put 7 ones into the machine and press a button. Clearly it's a sales tactic to sell the higher priced wash, but my cheap heart can not be swayed. If they would give those poor kids another gig, I would happily visit Metro regularly. read more

I'm currently very pregnant, and while I normally don't mind taking my car to the car wash and vacuuming it out after, it's not fun right now. I didn't want to pay $40 for a car wash with interior cleaning services, but honestly it was 100% worth it. The staff did an amazing job (way better than I could, pregnant or not), and they were very friendly! A bonus was a really nice lobby to wait in, stocked with drinks and comfy couches. Every time I have gone to Metro, I've received excellent service. Their facilities are clean and the waiting area to get the interior cleaned is well stocked with drinks and have comfy couches. They do a good job for what you pay for. If you're looking to get a $400-$500 level detail on your car then you'll be disappointed but for what you pay, it's pretty good. read more

A great organization with great people. I went for a car wash and had a tire losing air. The oil change lanes were already closed for the evening as it was well after 7pm. I asked if I could get some air for my tire to get me down the road. The manager discovered the air sensor was not aligned to the right tire, he took the time to find the low tire, the nail and repair it. And since I was due an oil change, I said out of loyalty to their extra efforts I would be back in the morning. No worries, they went ahead and took care of my oil change while fixing my flat.
