Was recommended to come here for an eyebrow waxing by their neighbor, Liberty Nails. The business totes itself as a "full-service salon," which is nice, but I didn't get to experience much at all of this place. The stylists did not realize that I could hear them when they said "Are you expecting someone?" "No, are you?" as I walked in the door. Regrettably, that made me feel unwelcome right away. I have a feeling that they were getting ready to close (before 4PM on a Thursday), and were just trying to figure out if I was a scheduled appointment or a walk-in. I don't recall seeing any hours posted on the door, or "by appointment only" signage anywhere, but perhaps that would help curb last-minute walk-ins. She let me know that they did not have any remaining appointments for the day, and offered to schedule me for another time. I was just in town for a few hours between shifts at work, and scheduling an appointment for a few days out, really wouldn't have helped my situation (I had a bridal gown try-on the next morning and wanted to look my best). While they do offer waxing services, they do not currently accept credit cards (cash and check only). The woman who greeted me did let me know that they were expecting a CC machine "soon." Which I can only say, will immensely add to their business. There were two gentlemen getting haircuts while I spoke with the stylist; both appeared very fashion-forward and pleased with their services. I can say this about Looks To Kill: I definitely would be back for a hair cut. Maybe it's the name, but there's something a bit edgy and cool about this place. Jolene gives a great hair cut however the salon is quite hard to get a hold of...they NEVER answer their phone so you can't talk to anyone and they DONT take credit cards...very inconvenient. read more

The fact that you're getting the best of the best at Station 5 without paying big city prices is great for the wallet. All the staff is down to earth, kind, and friendly; they greet you by name whether you're their client or not. As a client in my stylist's chair, I've witnessed the other stylists perform amazing hair for their own clients. I've had the pleasure of getting my hair done by most of the stylists and I've never been disappointed. They pride themselves on pleasing the customer, so if you go to a different stylist than usual, that person knows exactly what colors and styles you want and need. Kelly is my stylist and also the stylist for both of my kids. I started out with the owner, Debbie, and went to her for many years. Then I changed to Kelly due to scheduling/availability. I've have my hair done by Heather, Elisa, and Angela as well. They're all amazing! The salon itself is uber clean. Every one of the stylists clean the floor, sinks, bathroom, merch shelves, etc. everyday. Even outside is beautiful, with gardens and outdoor patio. Right on the northeast corner of the expansive Belchertown green, occupying an old service station but feeling very chic and sprightly inside, Station 5 is well worth the trip from all over the Pioneer Valley. A lot of the other hair/nail salons in Belchertown have limited days/hours. 2) accepts credit cards. I'm shocked that in this day and age, some salons don't accept credit cards... that's just a dumb business move. 3) eyebrow waxing is done here. Again, I'm shocked that one of the nail salons I went to doesn't do waxing. I was, however, a little disappointed in my wax job ($12). I have a feeling she doesn't do too many, because I was left with quite a few stray hairs that I had to pluck out later. Additionally, the hair grew back right away which infers that the hair wasn't really completely removed, more like broken off at the surface. Her credit card machine is one of those Amazon squares and it had a really hard time reading my card. I ended up having to go get cash back from a grocery store to pay her. Cathy is super friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I could tell by the number of people going in and out, that she is quite the popular choice for hair styling/cuts. I will definitely stop in again, should I find myself in need of an emergency wax, and just be sure to have her "clean up" any last minute strays.

Jennifer made my super nervous self feel excellent and carefree throughout my entire shoot. I am a very self conscious person and she made sure to work around my inhibitions and get the best shots. She took well over 200 pictures and made the reveal process so easy for me with her patience. My session came with hair and makeup however hair wasn't needed as it can only be styled one way and make up I can't stand but gave her make up artist a chance. While I didn't like the make up (which was most likely solely my opinion because I don't ever wear make up) Jennifer made sure to tone down the make up so I was able to enjoy the pictures she took without seeing the make up I disliked. All in all I found Jennifer and her studio experience to be nothing short of amazing and I will absolutely be returning to do another shoot with her soon. 10/10 recommend you do the same!!
