My boat has been in shop at West Coast for months. I purchased a sacrificial anode and bolts online from Yamaha and it needed to be installed before I put boat in water. The bolts were too short. Ian helped me find them and they were a bit thick when I tried to use them. Returned and I may have forgotten to mention they were Japanese. Ian got me the metric bolt with the proper length and they worked great. Ian was friendly and so helpful. The bolts were very inexpensive but the customer service was great, these were critical for my boat. Thank u Ian. read more

Walking by Loomis we found this cute store . I thought noting of it . When we walked in they had this super cute old school Ice Cream parlor with a vintage Coca Cola machine and chairs . We had to sit and get some old fashion ice cream . I felt like I traveled in to the 1950's . A young man helped us he was so nice he got our ice creams . He said he lived in lincoln like us. The store it self was amazing they have spices and sauces so many to choose from . They have out door grills , pizza ovens , so many Yeti cups . They have meats and pies inside the freezer as well . This store is really amazing I recommend stopping by I guarantee you will find something you like specially if you love to barbecue or cook and when you're there, make sure to check out the ice cream parlor. What a great hardware store they have a lot of staff members that were all very knowledgeable and helpful. It's been a very very long time since anyone in any store has greeted me much less offered the help they did. We looked online and the products they said they had were actually there in stock! What a relief since that is not always the case. This is my newest favorite store and I will shop there for all my "hardware" needs... they have a great selection and carry much more than just your typical hardware or tools. read more

I have always enjoyed this store. It is the best!! I recently bought a Bar- B- Que. They assembled it, delivered it and all for free. The delivery driver was great. He even removed the stickers and wiped it off with cleaner and microsoft towel. The store and the people are the best in the business. I can't say enough. They understand pride and customer service. I want to support Loomis business. I had a poor experience at this store today. I was buying several items. About $50. The True Fuel can was listed on the shelf for $8.99. It rang up $9.99. I ask the manager if he would honor the shelf price. He said they were changing prices and had not change the price on the shelf. He would not match the shelf price. I ended up not buying the $50 in items I had at the register. I went to Home Depot. The price was $4.98 a can. I am willing to pay more for the convenience of going to Ace Hardware. It is so sad a manager can lose a local customer. read more

The worst customer service I bought spray paint earlier in the morning, came home to find out. It was defective came back to the store for an exchange and had to still pay for full price. I also used my number to keep track of the only for it not to show how much I bought it for the worker made me pay so now I paid over $13 for a spray paint can more than it costed for one all I wanted to do is exchange it and even showed proof of my purchase history and he still wouldn't honor it. read more

I grew up in a small town in Northern California and relied heavily on the local Ace Hardware. So happy to see Loomis get one of their own. This is a good location, and should serve the town and surrounding area well! The store is decently sized - definitely not the largest Ace Hardware I've seen, but it's big enough to cover all the basics! Very handy for locals because the closest big box hardware store is a pretty good distance away which is super annoying if you have to make multiple stops during a weekend project (pretty typical with me - it seems there's ALWAYS 'one more thing' I need to get when I'm in the middle of a project. This trip, I needed to get a few specific stainless steel bolts, washers and lock nuts for something I'm doing on my boat. They had everything I needed. I wandered the store a bit to get acquainted... grabbed a new measuring tape as well. More than one person asked me if I was finding what I needed. All staff I bumped in to were friendly and helpful! This is a great addition to Loomis and I'm sure I'll be back often! read more

Really poor customer service today, I was in the store and I saw a lady trying to get paint with a raffle item won from a police charity. If you didn't want a civilian to win it, then you should have written it in the TOS. You won't honor a gift to a LEO charity then how can we trust you to honor ACE warranty? We received 6 star service from David, a BBQ master who has expertise on several different BBQ platforms. He knows his BBQ's. This newly renovated BBQ destination is THE place for good BBQ's and accessories. They carry and display several good stainless steel and good quality brands like Weber, Napoleon, and Green Egg. They even bring in Smoking Bliss BBQ team to hold BBQ classes. They have hundreds of BBQ rubs to select from and sample. They even carry sauces, pies, and ground beef. After only seeing low end grills at Home Depot, Lowe's, Roseville ACE, and Green Acres, and seeing the lack of service and expertise there, it was a refreshing cool breeze at Loomis ACE Backyard, the destination for BBQ. read more

I heard a fair amount about this store online and wanted to visit while I was in the area. Went in and was surprised by the selection - one of the things they had was the small bottles of bio-oil for the Stihl GTA26. You don't want to use normal chain oil on them because it's too thick and tacky, and this place had both the unit and the oil, which is rare. Prices were reasonable as well. Don't let the size fool you - you can get pretty much what you need from a big-box. read more

What a great store and knowledgeable staff! I needed an air conditioner part on a very hot Sunday in the middle of a very long heat wave, called everywhere close to me, nothing. Called Loomis Ace, spoke with a gentleman who knew exactly what he had and what would work for me. I drove an hour, picked up the part and put it in. I'm a hero! This review is not directly directed towards Ace itself. But more so to the owner who believes that he is above the law. I witnessed the owner today driving in his white Dodge aggressively driving into the parking lot. It was 7:05 a.m. and he was late to meet his delivery driver. He came driving into the parking lot almost on two wheels, erratically serving back and forth before parking. One of my workers was concerned that he was going to hit them or his car. When he got out. I told him he needed to slow down. His response was "it's a great Wednesday" with no care about what he had just done or that he was being called out for it. Personally, just because you were late doesn't give you the right to do whatever you want. Imagine if there was somebody walking their dog around the corner that you couldn't see, you probably would have killed them. I feel that the owner should be a little bit more responsible. I can only imagine what he would think if he saw his employees driving like this into work. I guess really what I'm trying to get at is you're in your 40s, You're not 20 anymore. You need to slow down and be more responsible. You're not the only person in this world that matters. On a separate note. Nothing bad to say about Ace at all. All the workers there are extremely nice and helpful. Way to go on employees. read more

Well, well.... I was very excited when this local Ace opened up. Not the pricing so much as the convenience. The youth there try's hard but is not the most knowledgeable. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the close drive. Now, I will go back to the Auburn or Granite Bay locations. In the past, I always received a veterans discount. I figured this was a nice little perk for being in Vietnam. Today, Veteran's Day, I needed a few items and found that the discount is no longer given but points instead. I will now just trip to Home Depot or the other Ace Hardware stores on principle as they give a 10% vet discount. Bye, bye Loomis Ace..... read more

This is for the bbq center. I saw that RecTec bbq's were on sale at Ace, and someone's recommendations. At the main store there were 2 display models. The model I was looking at had a "made in China" piece of cardboard on the grill. I asked an employee about it, and said I thought that they were made here in the USA. The employee said he did not know anything about it, and it was just on display. I was told to go across the street to the Ace bbq store. I went across the street to the bbq store, and talked to a male. I asked it the RecTec was made in the USA and he said yes. I asked about the one across the street having the made in china sign, and he said that no there was not. The employee got defensive, and acted like I did not know what I was talking about. I told him I was so sure of the sign, I would bet him a new BBQ on it. I told him to follow me across the street, and he did. I pointed out the sign, and he said it was wrong. He again said that it was made in the USA, and someone must have made a mistake. He said well I'm not giving you a bbq (which I never really expected). I went back across the street and looked at the bbq's. I almost bought one, but wanted to make sure the were made in the US. I contacted RecTec directly. Their grills ARE NOT MADE IN THE USA, but in China and Vietnam. I'm am specifically looking for a made in USA grill. This might be a larger bbq store, but don't trust that they know what they are talking about in reference to grills. read more

The store is good. The shelves are packed with supplies. The 2 stars is for their lack of care towards their customers. Not a single employee was wearing a mask. I guess they either have their head in the sand or they are trying to make a statement. In my opinion neither has a place in retail. They failed on this one. read more

I went in to pick up a few things to replace a faucet in the front yard it had rusted out. The man that waited on me was very knowledgeable got me exactly what I needed. And then asked me if I had the proper tools and I said I'm not sure. Do you want the trunk of his car and loaned me the tools and said bring them back when you're done. Today I was lucky to have Nathans help with an old wheelbarrow tire. I came in and purchased a new tire, but the fittings did not fit when I got home with it.
