I tried using the Loop app to get a carwash for the first time, and it was a total headache. After buying the wash through the app, I couldn't find a way to activate it, so I asked the carwash attendant for help. He just kept saying he was new and didn't know anything -- which I get, everyone's got to start somewhere. But instead of trying to help or get someone who could, he kept telling me to go inside and ask them. Meanwhile, I was sitting in my car holding up the line, and he expected me to get out and go figure it out myself, even though I was clearly short on time and on my way to work. I told him I'd just come back later when I had more time. He had the cars behind me back out so I could leave, which was fine. But as I was leaving, I rolled down my window and started to ask, "Can you let them inside know I'll be back later?" Before I could even finish the sentence, he cut me off with, "I'm not telling them, you tell them." I tried to finish what I was saying, but he just kept repeating it -- just plain rude and totally unnecessary. I left feeling frustrated and honestly kind of shocked at how unhelpful and smug he was. I get that he's new, but common sense shouldn't require training. I won't be coming back to this Loop location. read more

I come here from time to time for a quick fill up but my visits are primarily for snacks and energy drinks. Prices for the most part are on the higher end when it comes to items but the sales that Loop Neighborhood offers are pretty good. Bonus points simply due to convenience. 4 stars because LN always comes through whenever I'm in need of a little pick-me-up. Minus one star because the traffic here can be super terrible especially with the car wash. I've never gotten the chance to personally test out the wash but for something that gets so many complaints about, it sure is popular. Lmao. read more

Talked to manager who said all she could do was send the form to corporate and she couldn't do anything more than that. She couldn't provide a working number and the form said to talk to the store manager...... Was able to track down the corporate info and left about a dozen messages to try to get someone to address the claim over the past 3 months. No callbacks and would always go to voicemail. I absolutely love the car wash subscription service WHEN IT WORKS! It works half of the time. I scan my QR code and I go into the wash as instructed and it gives me issues by never starting. So, they really need to fix this ASAP. I expect it to work all the time not half the damn time. read more

I've come here for quick car washes, gas, snacks, nothing out of the ordinary for a gas station. They are newly renovated, but what drove me to write this review was today's event. I stopped by to get a few scratchers as small gifts, we came a bit late and the Asian worker in particular had closed up and was in front of the store. He waved to us hinting they were closed and I rolled down the window to confirm. He asked what we needed and upon hearing the scratchers were for lucky presents he opened up again and let us in. Great service and a very kind thing to do when he definitely didn't have to. Although, I would be alert when coming here late into the night, the homeless like to sleep by the trash bins. read more

I left this same review on Shell's yelp: Two weeks ago, I took my car to their car wash for a simple Express Wash. Turns out the automated car wash machine malfunctioned and the back arm swung wildly into the passenger side back panel numerous times, cause a huge dent. Luckily it hit the same place several times and only caused one big dent. I made aware to the cashier and they closed the car wash immediately. The next day I came and filled out an incident report, when the store manager mentioned that the General Manager was onsite and could meet with me after their phone conference. I waited for 20 mins but ultimately had to leave to go back to work. The store manager sad to me that the GM would call me by end of day. I called the store manager and left a voicemail because nobody had followed up with me. The next day I called again, no response. A few days later I called the main line and the store manager picked up, and responded by saying the General Manager was in a phone conference again and would call me immediately after. Again 2 days later, no call was made to me. By telling them the car wash was broken, i probably saved them 10-15 incidents with other cars being damaged. You would think a big corporation like Shell would cooperate and help me with the car damages that only totaled around $300. A few days later I called them one last time and let them know that I would be reporting them to my insurance, by voicemail of course. Do not go to this gas station for car washes. I do not know who is being unprofessional, but it seems that the upper management team is giving me the run-around for $300. The cashiers inside are very nice and accommodating as Ive been going to this particular gas station for 5 years now. I would not recommend anyone using this gas station to wash their cars, unless you want to take the risk of Shell not taking responsibility for their car wash machine's malfunctions. I would give them 0 stars for this issue and wish them good luck dealing with my attorneys. read more

No attendant at 11pm even it states 24 hrs service. The gas pump got our credit card stuck inside credit card slot and no one helped us.

Extremely disappointed with this convenience store/gas station. I live around the area and thought that this Loop Convenience Store was perfect because of the 680 freeway entrance near it. This alone worked perfect for my schedule as I leave home around 4:45AM for work. I stopped going here for months since they started to post signs on the door telling customers they'll open back up at 5:00AM. For whatever reason that may be, I found it to be more of an inconvenience for a convenience store... After a few months, I decided to come back at the same time as before, only find out they're still doing the same damn thing. Stopped here for air and snacks. There was no sign on the air machine saying it was broken. It flattened my tire almost completely. When I came in and asked the two ladies working there said "sorry it's broken go somewhere else" I explained that I couldn't. They suddenly were extremely rude to me, telling me to just go. I asked for the managers number and they said they couldn't give it to me. Until they finally gave in to give me the store number. I was blown away by the terrible customer service of these ladies. As I am passing through, they managed to tell me I was dumb in another language they thought I couldn't understand. Just impeccable the humanity they had. Extremely rude employees. One of them gave me and another man the incorrect code to their restrooms. Then shouted at us when we tried to confirm the code. The restroom was soiled too. Someone had taken a dump and not flushed it. When I notified one of the employees she seemed nonchalant about it. Please do something about it. No wonder it already has several 1 star reviews. I came here yesterday night on an empty tank of gas with my 1 year old son and when we arrived the front door was locked and and back door was wide open so I knocked hoping the employee I seen before approaching would hear me. After several attempts she finally came to the door yelling at me because I was knocking loudly.. I explained why I was knocking and she just kept yelling, I tried to calmly restrain the situation by telling her "look, I'm not hear to argue with you and I'm not gonna stand here continuing to waste my time explaining because I have my son in the car and I just need gas." She then replied "too bad I'm not selling you anything." If this is the worst service you could possibly give someone by denying to sell them gas and practically leaving them stranded on empty having to drive 10 miles hoping I'd make it to another shell WITH A BABY IN THE CAR! I live down the street from this location and I can tell you I'm not gonna stop going to this location because of the employees decision to be disrespectful. I was waiting in line for the car wash for at least 30 minutes, just to have the car wash machine break down in the middle of the car in front of me. The notice popped up on the payment screen, so when I went to push the "help" button at the bottom left corner of the screen, it did absolutely nothing. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and waited a few seconds before pressing it again, and it still did NOTHING. I then tried to call the gas station while still waiting in line, with other people behind me mind you, and no answer. I left because of the frustration and I had a lot of errands to finish before the weekend, and tried calling them a total of ten times, with still no answer. I will not be returning to this gas station ever and I would not recommend anyone to waste their time here. read more

I do have to agree that this place sucks . Really for a relatively new location the equipment is always broken. This is my 3rd return to the car wash to redeem my original purchase last week . If they were just will to make a little effort in running a customer service based location . My bad I didn't notice that the car wash was broken ( should have seen the small little cone ) and once I realized too late . Couldn't ask for a refund because impossible for my company booking . They did offer the refund . In the future please post at the pumps so we know at the point of purchase . I won't have a problem in the future because I will never use again . For being a fairly new business, the carwash is broken most of the time and have to wait a day or 2 for it to be operational.

I had the worst experience at this Loop Neighborhood and Shell gas station today. I pulled in to the gas station (#12 pump). A white car was standing in front of mine and perpendicular to it. I did not think much of it, unitl the driver started waiving to me and saying something. I got a bit closer and realized that he was asking for money ("$5 dollars to fill up the car"). I said "no" and walked back to the pump where I tried to pay with my credit card. It wasn't working, so I clicked Debit, and tried it too. It wasn't working either. As I was struggling at the pump, the other car, started moving forward and backward trying to get my attention. The creep inside it was laughing and kept asking for money. I turned around, locked the doors and went into the Loop store to pay for the gas. I told the clerk that pump #12 did not take credit card. She told me that they KNEW about it, but there was not even a note posted there, NOTHING. I then also told her about this suspicious person who was asking for money and appeared to be blocking my car, as his car was right in front of mine, and was moving back and forth. Just as I told her that, that same man walked into the store! He followed me there! I immediately told the cashier that that was him. Her response was: "we know him", and she nodded! So they knew about him and were doing nothing! Then as I walk back to my car the man follows me still asking for money. He acted entitled like I HAD to pay him and was quite bold, and was in his late 20s or early 30s, either Hispanic or Middle Eastern descent. I then told him to please stop following me and he did eventually stop after I said that. Once I got home, I found the phone number for this Loop Neighborhood store and called them. I was able to get through on the third attempt, being sent to the voicemail first two times. I spoke to the clerk describing this situation (exactly as above) asking them to inform police so they could take some measures, otherwise other people would be harassed there too. They told me that I should have called police myself, and they cannot do anything about the situation, and confirmed again that they know about panhandlers (multiple) there who tend to run away when police approaches the area. Maybe I should have called police immediately when I was there and maybe it was a mistake on my part that I did not; but I just don't believe that the business does not have any security measures (they might at least have security cameras to read the license plates of this guy's car) at all they could take, and that they have absolutely nothing to report to police or take ANY action on their part. It appears that they have accepted this situation and do not want to do anything about it, even though many other their customers are getting harassed, as this guy seems to be there often and they seem to know him well. I don't often leave Yelp reviews, but this was so outrageous, and I felt threatened, so I felt absolutely compelled to write it and maybe at least warn other people about it. read more

I did not read about all the reviews, otherwise I would never bring my business there. I had a very bad experience today 7/21/18 with a male clerk named Nelson. I used this place many times before and the female clerks were mostly courteous and friendly. But this Nelson guy is something else. As I was paying for my gas and car wash today late afternoon, I scanned my loop reward card at the register, then I was asked by Nelson to hit the "metal" button on the payment pad. I was confused, not understanding what he has said. I told Nelson that there is no "metal" button anywhere on the electronic pad. So, he started counting and pointing to 1,2,3, then Nelson said 2 is the "metal" button. A male customer behind me said "middle" button. Suddenly I understood what Nelson has been saying. So, I repeated "oh, the middle button". My response seemed to irate Nelson at that time. He got the merchant receipt out and threw it on the counter and asked me to sign it. First I did not think much of his behavior. But then when Nelson supposed to hand me my receipt, he again THREW it straight on the counter at me. I was startled because of his aggression and rudeness, so I responded back by telling him "do not throw my receipt at me please". Then I walked out of the store. Nelson really wanted to get the last word out, so he shouted loudly "have a nice day lady". You have to know the way they sound when they don't mean it. I got to my car, then I decided I cannot let Nelson got away with his rude behavior, so I parked my car in front of the loop store and went inside to find a manager. I found a female clerk who just started her shift, I told her what Nelson, who was standing at the other end of the counter, did to me a few minutes early and asked for a manager's phone number. She started to write her manager's number down for me. I believed the manager's name is Jemma. While I was waiting for that phone number, Nelson approached where we were standing and started to pick fight with me again, calling me a "rude"customer. The female clerk stopped Nelson from approaching me any further. On my part I tried to ignore him and got Jemma's phone number and left the store. As I sat inside my car with my daughter, I saw Nelson getting out of the store and approaching my car. I and my daughter both felt threatened by his action since we not sure what he wanted to do. He took out a pen and I assumed that he wrote down my license plate number. So I took a couple pictures of him from inside my car just in case. Then he turned and walked back to the store. I immediately left to avoid any more confrontations with him. read more

This is for the carwash. I normally do not buy car wash things when filling up gas, since I normally wash my own car. I decided to buy one anyways. you have to go inside to get your receipt with the code, there might be a line cause this place is busy. Then you go wait in line for the car wash, usually 8 cars are waiting. I decided to leave. Came back the week after and still 8 cars waiting. So I tried hopefully on a slow day, but 8 cars were waiting so it is busy no matter what, prime location. Any ways I decided to wait and see, the thing did not expire till like 3 months later so I had time, but decided to get it over with. It was only $9 for more than the basics so not bad, maybe that is why it is busy. So basically it took me about 40 minutes to get my car wash, it cleans your car, but not the best, you will have spots on your car after, plus the dryer is weak, does not dry your car so you will have water spots after, just enter the highway to get a better dryer of your car. Overall, I would rather just wash my car then deal with this 40 minute wait. read more
