This is a fantastic drive-through car wash with great service and free vacuums! What really stood out to me was how well the management handled everything. When I arrived, the vacuum area was incredibly busy, but the manager was doing an amazing job actively directing traffic and navigating the lines smoothly. On top of that, their attention to detail is unmatched. The manager was carefully inspecting the cars as they came out of the wash, noticed that the machine had completely missed a spot on the back of my car, and immediately offered to send me through for a second run completely free of charge. You don't always get that level of care and proactive customer service at a car wash. I will definitely be back! read more

Went on $23 Thursday, $7 off the $30 Extreme wash price around 4pm. No wait. Staff to help at the pay station and to help you guide your car into the wash. Around 3 bays open in the vacuum area, you have to exit the car wash, go on the main road then go into the drive to the car wash to get to the vacuum area. Have an Hyundai Elantra, the car wash didn't wash the rear window and bumper well, had to hand wash when I got to the vacuum area. Didn't have the disinfectant and window spray at my bay but borrowed the bottles next to my bay. Plenty of clean towels at the bottom of the collection box but they are damp, thankfully they don't smell of mildew. Staff is good about picking up the used microfiber towels and refilling the bottles. Minimal scent on both. You vacuum you own floor mats at the vacuum area. I wish they had a mat cleaning machine like other car washes. You just feed it through a machine at the top and it rolls out the bottom. I want to go on Wednesday and get a buy one and get one free on the Extreme wash. That looks like a good deal. W San Carlos is a busy street, takes a while to enter and leave. Less than a mile from Hwys 87 and 280. I would use the car wash again. read more

The whole experience was quick and efficient, taking about five minutes from entering the car wash tunnel to reaching the blow drying section. Once the wash is finished, you'll need to make an immediate right turn to enter the parking lot where the vacuum stations are located. All washes come with access to free vacuums, towels, and cleaning sprays. The vacuums were powerful and had no trouble picking up tiny and small debris in the car. If the vacuum stations are full, you'll need to park on the opposite side of the parking stalls and wait for an attendant to guide you to a vacuum station once one becomes available. read more

I canceled my membership after a very disappointing experience at Extreme Express Car Wash in San Jose. The car wash equipment broke down, and customers were left waiting 15-20 minutes with absolutely no communication from staff. People started leaving because no one explained what was happening or how long the delay would last. While waiting, I used the vacuum and brush stations. When the wash finally started working again, I asked an employee named Sander for help getting back into line since I had already been waiting a long time. Instead of helping, he told me I "wasn't supposed to go through there." There were no signs indicating that, and no employee had provided any instructions while the wash was down. His attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. Another employee, who refused to provide his name, was also rude. He gave unclear instructions about where I could clean my car and then abruptly told me to leave the area after I had already followed his directions. Equipment problems happen. What shouldn't happen is poor communication, rude behavior, and a lack of basic customer service. This wasn't the first time I've found the staff unfriendly, but it was the first time I felt so disrespected that I canceled my membership. Management needs to focus on customer service and communication during service interruptions. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. read more

My car needed a wash, and I ended up here cuz it's the only place I could find in the area open late on a Sunday evening. Paid at the drive-up kiosk, and got the cheapest option (clean and dry) for $17. A worker wrapped my rear wiper blade in a plastic sleeve before I entered the tunnel, and the wash was pretty standard in quality, colorful suds, and it did its job getting most of the layers of grime off my vehicle (not all of it though, dirt remained particularly in the back). Afterward, I waited in the crowded lot for about 10-15 minutes, while inconsiderate people took their sweet time in the vacuum stalls, some were there for 30+ minutes not even using the vacuum, rather just polishing their ugly and dented vehicles as if it would make their cars look any better. The sign states ten minutes max on busy days, but the workers didn't seem to really monitor that. There are parking spaces that can be used for wiping down vehicles, so that other people can use the vacuums in the stalls. Anyway, at least the vacuums had strong suction power and were free to use, and with microfiber towels also provided, I got the inside of my car clean enough to make my visit worthwhile. read more

Don't confuse this place with express car wash Stevens Creek / San Thomas. My car came out shiny and cleaner than at the other one even though that one had two guys when you enter brushing down your car before you enter and that car wash is twice as long as this one on West San Carlos. Extreme Express Car Wash is one of my favorite car washes! It's the only drive thru car wash that I trust. I somehow always make my way there on Tuesdays where they have their $12 special for the clean and dry package. It's the bare minimum car wash but it gets the job done. It does get pretty busy so there is a 10 min time limit on vacuums. Today I went around 1pm and it was packed. Every station was filled and there were cars parked waiting for their turn to use the vacuums and towels. Although I had a few cars in front of me to go through the car wash, I think I only had to wait less than 5 minutes till a spot opened up for the vacuums. It was a lot faster than I anticipated. The vacuums for the most part are decent and I like their winded infused towels. I also like how they provide disinfectant as well. The large trash cans at every station is also a plus. Everything is pretty self sufficient but staff will be there to assist in case you need anything. Highly recommend! read more

A Very Disappointing Experience! I came here for a quick wash since I couldn't make it to my usual place, and they were offering a promotion today (Thursday) -- $7 off the $30 wash. While I expected to do some light drying afterward, the wash itself was extremely poor. My front windshield was still dusty and dirty, making it difficult to see when I drove off. The parking lot was also completely full, so I couldn't pull in to dry the car and had to park elsewhere. As I dried the car with a microfiber towel, I noticed streaking, which made it clear the vehicle wasn't washed properly. Dirt was smeared around rather than removed. When I stepped back to inspect the car, I saw that the back hadn't been cleaned at all -- it was still covered in dirt, as if no soap or water had touched it. Overall, this wash did not meet even basic expectations. I would not return and do not recommend this place. Save your money and go elsewhere, even if it's farther away. read more

This is your go to one stop and go for car washes in downtown San Jose -- and honestly, I would not have any other way. Talk about free vacuuming too! Here's my take and experiences thus far: Pros: For $29 ($22 with their Thursday special), you get extreme cleaning on the surface of your car. They clean the wheels for you, and are very useful in the way that they don't use harsh sponges on their machines to clean your car. Cons: the vacuum line content to get busy in the afternoon, and especially on sunny days. The only reason why not giving it five stars is because sometimes the employees aren't handling logistics correctly, and I have given them complaints, sometimes for letting a car that just parked go into the vacuum parking lot, when they should have waited. I wish they had a system where they would let cars park on the other side with numbers, then, that way it would fix the problem with congestion in the parking lot. Extreme Express Car Wash is the only car wash that I will take my car to. The staff is very friendly. The staff always refills the clean towels by the vacuums even during peak hours. All of the vacuums work well and will not rip up your seats or car interior. At times, the car wash is very busy so I would recommend going when they first open or late in the afternoon. The car wash has three different options for washes. Clean and dry :$17, wax and shine: $25, and extreme ceramic and stuff: $30. It is a little more expensive than a gas station car wash, but they use good quality soaps and provide disinfectant spray and windex. read more

This is my go-to spot for a car wash in the South Bay. For some reason Santa Clara especially has a lack of car wash places in town. Even gas stations in the area seem to lack a car wash nowadays. I make the trip over here because $15 for wash-and-dry is the best deal you can find to really clean your vehicle. The car wash is quick and does leave water specks, so be sure to wipe your windows and mirrors after. The biggest perk is definitely the complimentary vacuum service! This used to be my favorite carwash so much so that I would drive half an hour for it. I haven't been back in a while but my car got bombarded with bird poo over the summer. Unfortunately it seemed rushed and not nearly as thorough as the past few times ive used it. This could be cause I used the Basic $12 deal but I still had a lot of bird poo residue left over. My favorite hand wash was not available in SJ, so on a whim I came here. First thing I noticed was it was PACKED. At least 5 cars in line. The kiosk has an employee which is pretty cool! Didn't have to touch the pad at all. They take card which is nice. The wash itself requires you to go in neutral and I actually didn't know how. Luckily another employee knew and helped me out. Impressed they have 2 employees working! They also let you vacuum your car which is awesome. For just 16$. This wash is decent, but it's not equipped to handle the volume of customers it gets. The vacuum stalls are always full, and getting a spot often feels like a free-for-all. On several occasions, I've been waiting only to have other cars grab a stall before me, even though I arrived first. It's chaotic and would benefit from a staff member managing the flow of cars. There also needs to be better enforcement of the 10-minute time limit--I've waited over 15 minutes without a single car leaving. They also have a clean guarantee - if you're not happy with how your car looks the first time it goes through you can go through again. I had some debris stuck on my windshield that didn't come off so I swung around again, ready to ask if I could go through again. Shoutouts to their team because they saw my car & let me through a second time. No questions, no explaining, no uncomfortable "sorry my windshield is still dirty" - just a nod and a go ahead because they already knew what it was. I waited for a spot to open up for 20 minutes, finally pull into one, and another customer lays on the horn at me and tells an employee that they were there first (I was the first car waiting in the lot). The low star rating this for the service. Majority of people here are teenagers. They're not courteous when I've asked the "manager "for assistance. She comes out looking mad before I even ask any questions she gives short dry answers. Today in particular, I flagged a guy to ask him a question however, he told me to wait, he was talking with his "homie" However, there's also quite a bit of disorganization when it's packed and you want to dry your car, people jump in when it's not their turn occasionally they'll have someone organize that but not always. You are still LYING! Unused membership means you sign up the monthly service and you choose not to use it. What you guys did is customer canceled the monthly membership and you still charge customer. And even worse is you guys even secretly reactivate the membership which has been cancelled. And you guys claim it is customer's responsibility to check if you guys still secretly charge money even after they cancel your service. It is FRAUD!! Also what is threaten? When you refused to refund all the charge that you secretly charged on my card after I cancelled your service, I told you I will have to let everyone know. So they will not get SCAMMED by you again. That is not threaten. That is truth disclosure and experience sharing. Be careful this store will continue to charge you even after you cancel your monthly plan! I had my multiple cars washing here with the monthly subscription. Last year my office was no longer nearby and I went to their store and talked to their staff to cancel. They did it and told me all done. Because the cards they charge was not the one I use often. And I trust them after they said they have cancelled. Just recently when I went back to check the two cards I used for their service, I found they are still charging me $29.99 each month since last year. 1. I cancelled the monthly subscription back in June 2024. They have been charging me since then. Theo staff checked their computer system and told me she found the membership was reactivated with them again in July without my permission. 2. I cancelled the monthly subscription for another car in early Oct. They still charged me since then. For both cars, I went to their store and talked to them in person to cancel, because they said they don't accept cancellation over the phone. It is FRAUD that this store reactivate the membership without customer approval. And it is FRAUD that they still continue to charge you even after they tell you it has been cancelled. DO NOT go to this place for your car wash. They will steal your money and steal your credit card info stored in their system and secretly charge you. read more
