Honestly, I'm torn. I've been here multiple times and Roy is great, no doubt about it! I've gotten a couple different piercings and they have all turned out beautifully. BUT today I wanted to take my man to get a piercing and I wanted to get another as well and some new jewelry. We got there at about 11:50 to be early since we had to be back in Sonoma by 1:30 and it's about a 40 minute drive. We got to the door and a nice guy from the tattoo shop told us that Roy usually gets there from 12-12:30 even though they open at 12. So we waited outside till 12:30 and there was still no sign of him and we had to drive back to Sonoma by that point. I would of easily dropped $100+ today and I always tip I know it's not about the money but I'm pretty disappointed since I like this place so much and I'd rather not take my business somewhere else, but it's pretty unprofessional. I had my nose re-pierced at Loops and Pierces in July, and went back this week to buy some jewelry. They moved to a new location (1 block away, at 530 McConnell) between my two visits. I was impressed by both locations. The new place has tons of natural light, is airy and beyond clean. The staff is helpful but not pushy, honest and upfront but not rude. I just got my first piercing ever from Roy and I can honestly say Roy truly is the best piercer in Santa Rosa...experienced, professional, but also a super nice guy. I've got a serious fear of needles, and it took me 2 or so years to get up the nerves to get my nose done: Roy was super calm and when I came in a few days ago to see his shop he happily showed me everything and answered my every question. The shop is small but elegant and nicely put together- art and some quiet music keep the environment low key and enjoyable. His prices are totally reasonable for what he's offering: HIGH quality piercings and jewelry. He has surgical steel and titanium, both which are top quality, and when it comes to body modification, it's not a good idea to try and get "cheap deals". summer is amazing!!! i got my third earlobe piercing done by her today and she did a fantastic job. i've only ever been pierced by roy who no longer works here, and i was a little nervous about being pierced by someone new. however, summer did an incredible job. she took her time with every step, helping me pick out jewelry, explaining the healing process, setting up and making sure everything was clean. she has a very calming presence that helped ease my nerves a lot. she talked me through every step of the piercing process so i knew exactly what was going on while she was close to my ears, and she never made me feel judged for being nervous. she was super efficient (the entire piercing process took under 5 minutes) but still made sure everything looked nice and symmetrical and let me double check that the marks were where i wanted the piercings before she did anything else. she has every quality i would want in a piercer and i cannot recommend her enough. i will absolutely be going back for every piercing in the future :) read more
