The front hood of my car had zero issues with staying in the upright/open position prior to bringing my car here. I get home and the hood wont stay up after the visit to this place, like wtf? Fisrt, he said they had experience with hybrids. Second, he gave me a timeline for my car to be finished nd then went over about 2 weeks. Third, he quoted me $2,800 and charged me $3,200. Fourth, when I went to pick up my car, the windshield was broken and the car wouldn't start. AAA had to come out and I had to buy a new battery, even though the battery in the car initially was new. Somehow it was completely drained. Also the interior looked horrible and the drivers side upholstery was damaged. My car had to then be towed to another mechanic to fix what they messed up. I was told they didn't screw all the bolts back in the car. That mechanic missed one and I was driving my children around and the front axle almost came off!! If you have a problem, report them to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. They did an investigation and said that there's not even a receipt for the engine they supposedly replaced. DO NOT TRUST THEM. My worst experience ever. My car has been giving me problems ever since. I basically have to buy a new car

It felt like I was always given the most expensive option to service or repair my jeeps needs. I will not ever do business with Lopez auto service again. This last repair is what's lead me to this review. I went in because I got a check engine light for what turned out to be my exhaust gas recirculation. I was immediately told that I need a whole new part. No cleaning or inspection was done, just that I need a NEW part. Bought an OEM PART myself and took it to Lopez. They replaced it and even after it was replaced the same check engine light notification would come on. I was told to take it back "every time" it comes on. After a few times I got my car looked at by another mechanic, a large rubber cap was purposely placed somewhere inside of the system. Which caused the check engine light to continuously appear. The large unidentified rubber cap did not belong. Felt like I was scammed so I may continue to spend unnecessary $ here at this mechanic.
