We called five people for a quote, got two responses and went with Lopez because he was by far the most reasonable. There was a little mixup on the day he was supposed to come take the tree down, but we quickly got it straightened out and he came the very next day. A crew showed up, took the tree down quickly and efficiently and left the area so pristine you cannot even tell there was ever a tree there. I first heard of Lopez Tree Services through neighbors who strongly recommended them. Based on that alone, I requested an estimate--they weren't the cheapest or the most expensive. It took a bit of back-and-forth to schedule the estimate but once it happened, he was prompt, gave me an approximate time frame. Ultimately, as soon as they had an opening, they called and came and within an hour had taken the tree down. They were well-prepared, safe, and conscientious of our house, the shed, fence, and everything else around to ensure there was no risk of damage to anything. The tree itself wasn't terribly big but I was very impressed by their efficiency and also how clean they left the space when they were done. They accept check (preferred), Zelle, and credit card (on which they'll add a fee to the overall price). I emailed thru Yelp and got a response unrelated to my inquiry. My follow-up was not answered. My fiance and I had reached out to Lopez Tree Services last year for a quote to remove about 8 huge trees plus some from our property that were growing into the power lines. Dominion Power had actually recommended them. We spent a pretty penny fixing up a lot of things in our home at that time, so we ended up not moving forward with the tree quote thinking we'd take care of it later.
