HEROES My wife's…read morephone died on Christmas Day. Couldn't get it to take a charge or power on. Apple Store could not connect to the device and said it would cost $500 for a new logic board. Even after that we wouldn't have access to the data. Four years of photos gone. Called one repair shop and they said I was out of luck. Called CPR and Simon said they'd give it a shot, charge me $50 to run a diagnostic, and only charge me for additional work IF they were confident they could get the data off. Took it in Sunday night as they were closing with little hope of recovering anything. After a couple days I got an update saying it would take board level repairs and while they've had success in the past, there are no guarantees. After a solemn week and a half, Norvin gave me a call and let me know they had been able to access the phone. About two hours later Simon calls to let me know they've been able to backup up the phone. Take in my wife's new home and they transfer it for us in less than an hour.
