Lorca still has that special spot in my heart. I came here on a Sunday morning to get some studying in. I ordered their Lorchata (cold brew coffee and horchata, rice milk lightly sweetened and spiced, over ice)... absolutely delicious. Usually, I'm not a fan of rice milk in my drinks but I couldn't even tell it was made with it. I had my coffee, and did my work for a bit. Lunch time rolled around and I ordered myself the bacon and caramelized onion grilled cheese. It took a little while to get my sandwich but once you get a bite of the sandwich, you know why. They do not skimp out on the bacon and it comes out nice and crispy. I've been to a lot of places where the bacon is like warmed and floppy, and you get a nice one-strip of it. The onion that it's paired with gives it a nice flavor. I'd say this sandwich was almost close to perfection (ignoring all prices, of course). I swear, anything I get from this place gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. read more

Lorca definitely has the small coffee shop feel which I love. Their drinks are very good. I highly recommend the Nutella latte with almond (hot or iced). They are known for their churros which are really good. I've had some of their breakfast selections which can be hit or miss. The space is pretty small so it can get cramped when it gets busy. Overall probably one of my favorite spots in downtown Stamford. read more

I was surprised by how small this place was, but it's very cute, clean, and well decorated. I got 3 churros, which came with a choice of Mexican chocolate, Nutella, or chocolate dipping sauce. They were sweet and crunchy, but were rather expensive for how little they were (6 dollars, tip included). read more

Employees were wonderful it was actually the manager that was very bitchy.. the employees seemed scared of her.. someone told me it's supposed to be a Mexican Restuarant but doesn't seem like it.. churros are good but could be better, the sugar doesn't stick to the churros & they don't add cinnamon so it's just an oily/sugary stick. read more

Great coffee, delicious food, but don't be in a rush to grab a bite because service is slow. I can understand that it takes time to craft a good coffee, but not sure how long it takes to slice and box a piece of quiche. If you're not in a rush it's worth the wait. read more

Finally a great coffee shop in Stamford! They use Counter Culture beans, staff is sweet, and baked goods are delicious. The space is not huge, but I believe a smaller shop creates a cozy aesthetic which pervades Lorca's setting. The large is not a Dunkin Donuts big gulp size because well drawn/ properly pressed coffee should not be served in that big a cup. Perfectly situated near the train station, I encourage everyone to make this place your regular and stop wasting your your money on improperly served/brewed coffee from Java Joe's, Dunkin Donuts and Donuts Delight. The difference is 100% evident in the quality of coffee served here. read more

This truly is as good as it gets for a breakfast of churros. Wait? what? Churros for breakfast? Yes, I'm not lying. Crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside and they come with your choice of dip (I picked spicy chocolate). Pair it with a cortado and you've just hard yourself a great little morning. The staff goes above and beyond. I was visiting from out of town and not only were they helpful with the menu but provided suggestions on where I should spend the day that turned out to be fantastic. I came here at least twice a week on our way to/back from various CT children's activities and it just gets better. I don't care how small it is the coffee is ALWAYS perfect and their food is stellar. Well-curated menu, well-executed quiche, perfect pan tomaca (Catalan open-faced sandwich w/olive oil jam and spanish ham!) and the baristas are just amazing. Friendly and remember my order-even! They're even willing to take phone orders when my kids are sleeping in the car. I love this place. Might move to Stamford just to be closer! read more

I've been looking for a nice coffee/bakery shop since I moved to Westchester last year. I'm so thrilled to say that I finally found one close by!!! The coffee is great and the staff is attentive. The churros could be slightly softer but still very delicious. I tried three different dips: Mexican chocolate, dark chocolate, and dulce de leche. I liked the latter two. They make the most out of tight space; clientele polite enough to tolerate uber proximity. Electronic billing/tip adding just a tad precious, but so are super rich baked products and whipped cream on hot beverages. The place is what it is and does a good job at it. Best coffee shop in Stamford. They serve Handsome Coffee, which is an interesting choice given their proximity to Stumptown and Gimme. Their knowledgable baristas are always willing to chat coffee and offer recommendations while making your pour over. Definitely worth a stop. read more

I went to Lorca for the first time with a friend who's a regular and highly recommended it. I see why! It's cute and quaint with a nice charm and welcoming atmosphere. It was quiet and empty at 8:30am on Saturday, but very packed by 10:30am. The chai latte and ham & cheese croissant were delicious. Super premium coffee made to order. A nice friendly staff always willing to customize. When my order took a little longer than expected and then came wrong they immediately offered to give it to me for free. Drinks are spectacular and light sandwiches are delicious. Highly recommended! read more

Excellent beans that are turned in to delicious drinks by friendly and talented baristas. Small space with four two-tops, a larger table, and some bar stools - but was so crowded on a Saturday afternoon I struggled to stand with a drink I ordered to stay. This spot is easy to miss because it's so tiny. The cafè is nice inside with a cozy atmosphere. There are only a few tables so I wouldn't plan on going in to sit there during peak lunch hours. All of the coffees and teas that I've tried here have been excellent. Although it could be a tad expensive for some, it's absolutely worth it- the quality is great. The workers are always lovely, and I've never had a sour experience there. read more
