David installed the backsplash as well as the tile floor in my kitchen once I had my new granite countertops installed.

Going into the store is like walking into a candy shop. You want everything. We own a Spanish Revival house so we have specific design needs when it comes to tiles. I think your experience can greatly vary depending on who assists you. We had someone assisting us that seemed to not want to deal with us at all. Several of the existing tiles on the floor were apparently no longer being made (so why still have them on the floor?), the store stopped doing custom tiles with specific colors (which sadly were the exact colors we were looking for). We finally ordered custom tiles, which cost a lot of money and took some time to deliver. We ended up not liking how they looked so we put them elsewhere on the property. The overall experience was so poor that even though Mission Tile West is *THE* place to go for stunning tiles for your special project, but try to pair up with recommended service people from other reviews here.

I needed 3-5 tiles within 2 days or my bathroom floor would be missing tile by the toilet... and I immediately jumped on Yelp and called ALL of the tile options. Alexis answered my call minutes before 5pm and got back to me with an option, and it might even be available for a local pick-up from the vendor! This was a custom Spanish tile that cost over $100 for a box, and there was 1 box that she procured for me within minutes of the vendors opening hour! I picked it up that afternoon for my installer to have the next day. It was absolutely magical and the most amazing experience I have ever had with anything on this project. Anyone that has lived through a renovation knows that things go wrong all the time, but this experience and Alexis' professionalism, accountability, and abilities are bar none the best! I recommend Mission Tile West and will always recommend them. They literally saved us from a major bathroom renovation nightmare.

We were easily able to work with Garik remotely on our Bel Air rental, from selecting tile, grout, deposit payments, scheduling and access to the property . We felt secure as he is very honest and in constant communication throughout the process and past completion, making sure we were highly satisfied. Garik goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer care beyond his quality flooring tile work. Also, kept the work space clean and is the most polite and professional! I found him on Yelp and his reviews exceed the 5 star experience. I am grateful to have used Modern Tile and highly recommend that you do too!

He provided an estimate within two days of me reaching out and us discussing the problem and his recommended solution. I had to buy the materials for the job (tile, grout and trim) but that was fine with me as it was stated up front. I was able to double check the exact materials with him. We weren't able to have Garik and his team come until 2 months later (due to our own reasons) but he and his team showed up on time and ready to go. Because our backsplash has a herringbone pattern, they had to cut a lot of the tile pieces to properly fit the space (poor guy came in and out so many times I lost count). The end result though is a BEAUTIFUL cohesive backsplash. We love it. We also had a separate shower tile grout crack that I wanted Garik to look at when he was here. He explained the reasoning for the crack and provided a couple of solutions. We decided to move forward with one of them (for an additional pre-approved amount) and he drove all the way to Home Depot to buy the materials and fix the crack. It looks great actually and we appreciated the extra effort! LA traffic is no joke. I reached out to a lot of tile companies and I felt like I got the best service from Garik and his team from beginning to end. Would highly reco and would absolutely use them again. Thank you!

The first crew member to help me was Rob. He was very knowledgeable and answered a million question with exceptional professionalism. After I changed my mind on the design plan I had to exchange some items, Brent, Jackie, Francisco and Kate went above and beyond to help me figure everything out and reconfigure my plan. WOW! What a great team!!! They are amazing employees that should be acknowledged for their superior professionalism. Bravo team! You make a big difference. If there were a million stars - I would be clicking them all. Thank you!

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced…read more Before I paid, the salesperson specifically warned me that tiles from different production batches would have different colors. Because of that, I made it crystal clear that I wanted ALL of my tiles from the SAME batch. I was promised that would not be a problem. After my contractor finished installing and cleaning the floor, we immediately noticed an obvious color difference across the floor. At first glance it may not be obvious, but once you see it, you can't unsee it. A brand-new floor should NEVER look like this. I checked every box myself and discovered that about two-thirds of my order was Batch 1M21, while the rest was Batch 1M35. The store literally mixed two different batches together after promising they wouldn't. The most outrageous part? The correct batch (1M35) is NOT out of stock. They still have more than 140 pieces available. They simply gave me the wrong batch. When I went back to the store expecting them to fix THEIR mistake, the manager refused to take any responsibility. Instead, he told me I had to: * Buy replacement tiles again with only a 20% discount * Pay the transfer fee * Pay the shipping costs * Pay any other related expenses * Contact corporate myself Are you serious? If you truly believe your store did nothing wrong, why offer me a 20% discount in the first place? That tells me you know a mistake was made--you just don't want to take responsibility for it. I paid for matching tiles because your employee promised matching tiles. Your store mixed the batches, not me. Yet somehow I'm expected to pay thousands more to fix YOUR mistake? That is beyond unacceptable. Now I'm left with a brand-new floor that has visible color variation throughout my home because of the store's negligence. Replacing it would mean tearing out a newly installed floor, buying new materials, and paying labor all over again--simply because the store failed to provide what they promised. I would never recommend buying tile from this store. If they make a mistake, don't expect them to stand behind their product or take responsibility. Save yourself the stress, time, and money, and shop somewhere else.
