My experience at this mechanic shop has been amazing!! I have just graduated college and have been…read moregoing to them for about a year now. I was referred by a friend. As a woman many mechanics try and overcharge and tack on extra "issues", but not with this shop!! The first time I came here I had already changed my spark plugs twice (around $200+ each) and each time they would malfunction within a month or two. The last time I got them changed I went to AutoPro about a year ago and they have been great since! They work fast and have great prices! My second time was bc my alternator went out and even though Jose, one of the mechanics, was on vacation he helped me get my car towed and fixed within days! They have great customer service and are very professional! If you are looking for trustworthy mechanics who ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM please go here!! I've never written a review for anything, but I had to for them!

I've only left one review before I'm my life and it was because of a bad experience at a business…read more However, I feel so compelled to shout from the rooftops about the guys at AutoPro! Oh man, especially Jose, the owner. Amazingly great and understanding guy! And he knows his stuff without a second thought. I came to Texas from Louisiana on an evacuation order due to Hurricane Ida. It's 100 degrees outside and my a/c goes KAPUT! An entire 8 hour drive in this sweltering heat with no a/c. When I made it to Texas I decided to take my vehicle to a neighborhood Christian Brothers. They were nice people but their prices were just too high for what I could afford at such last minute notice. They ran diagnostics and told me that my HVAC blower motor needed replacement as well as the motor resistor. They quoted me almost $700 for the job and I just couldn't afford it. I called around and was guided to Jose at AutoPro. I told him my situation and immediately he swept into gear making me feel really confident about everything he was saying. The knowledge and kindness would've been enough but on top of it all he offered to do it for a MUCH LOWER labor cost!!! I was floored and immediately drove my vehicle to the shop. It didn't take but maybe 10 minutes tops for him to advise me that the estimate given by Christian Brothers wasn't necessary and that the only issue was my blower motor. That alone saved me and additional $200 off of the estimate. In no time he had me on the road in freezing cold air. I'm thinking about moving to Denton just to know I have him around if ever there is an issue. Really great, confident, laid back guy. It is IMPERATIVE that you do not hesitate to patronize AutoPro if you wish to be treated super humanely and with a great deal of compassion and honesty. They have my greatest gratitude for this. Thanks Jose and the guys at AutoPro!

All were repaired at no charge although it did seem like warranty work was not there priority, every time I had to bring it back to their shop they would have it for over a week. And trying to get a hold of Daniel was nearly impossible, he's never at the shop, and when you are lucky enough to get him to answer the phone he was just promise to call you right back in 5 minutes, only 5 minutes will turn into 5 days. My final draw with this shop is when I brought it back to them because the transmission would not shift into 3rd gear. Daniel told me it sounds like the clutch drum is probably cracked and that it is a common problem with my transmission. When I asked if that is covered under warranty he said it is not because it is not a part that is replaced with a rebuild kit. Which is true most shops at best will inspect it and test the pressure at best when rebuilding. Mind you from the time I brought it back to finding this out about the drum he had the truck for 4 days and supposedly hooked up the computer and took fluid samples to tell me he thinks it's the drum, he had not dropped the transmission, in order to find out for sure if it was the drum Daniel wanted me to pay $2600 up front to drop the transmission. Which is how much I paid for him to rebuild it. When I asked Daniel what if it's not the drum and it's something under warranty I still have to pay $2600 he said we can work something out. Never before have I ever heard of having to pay upfront for a repair that may or may not be covered under warranty because the mechanic doesn't even know what part has failed. At this point I decided to take it to another shop because once I pay the money you can tell me whatever you want failed and it's not covered by the warranty and now I'm out the money. So I decided to have my truck towed to another shop that was recommended by my daughter that rebuilt her transmission 2 years ago and hasn't had issues since. They rebuilt it for less than what Daniel wanted to drop my transmission for to tell me if it was the drum or not. I told them how Daniel thinks it's the drum without even seeing it, and if it was the drum to replace it. Well it wasn't the drum, the tech took it for a test drive and said he didn't think it was a drum, he dropped the trans and found the 3rd and 4th gear clutch plates were burnt up and the drum was fine. Those clutch plates were part of the rebuild done by Kings Automotive and were covered under there warranty but obviously they did not want to drop the transmission open it back up to find out without being paid up front. Like I said they will take care of the nickel and dime repairs they can do with out dropping the trans. But if it's something internal good luck they will want the money up front at that point good luck. And if it's warranty work plan on being without your vehicle for at least a week if you're lucky. Save yourself the money and headache and go elsewhere especially if it's transmission related
