The shop owner was catching up with an old friend who had stopped in, so I didn't get a chance to interact with her, but she was very welcoming to her store. Spooky little addition to Main Street. The owner of Cook & Gardener, Liz, provided us with a beautiful 7-week-old kitten when a stray…read moremother gave birth on her property. The day we came to pick up the kitty, we noticed gunk had crusted in her ear, which quickly became an infection. We took her for an emergency vet visit as it badly affected her equilibrium. She developed this in the intervening days between the vet visit Liz took her to (VetCo), and the day we picked her up for adoption (about 3-4 days). The kitten herself was free, which seemed a nice gesture at the time. Since then, our circumstances have changed, and Liz offered to take her back. However, things unfortunately took a turn for the worse when the infection and subsequent medical expenses were brought up. She made it a point to make personal and financial assumptions about us, yet didn't voice her concerns when we initially wanted to adopt, claiming, "I'm not your mom." We never brought up our financials, she assumed. While we understand the financial and emotional commitment to adopt a pet, the unexpected health problems this poor kitten came to us with could have been prevented before hand-off. During our phone call, when we asked for reimbursement of our kitten's medication costs (since the infection had developed during Liz's care, and the kitten was amongst a litter with a plethora of other infections such as pink eye with pus, respiratory, and underweight issues), she threw herself into a fit and hastily attempted to end the conversation. The kitten was dreadfully underweight when we adopted her, and we fed her until she was at a healthy weight again. Liz denied any hearing loss when we had initial concerns, but we later found out that due to the infection the kitten had under her care, the result was profoundly conclusive. When the cost of the medication was mentioned, she immediately became interruptive and combative, though we stressed no animosity toward her. Her words to that were, "Too late." You can love her shop all you want; just please adopt from her only to get these poor animals away from her so-called "care."

All of the items are so cool and trendy, they have items that you would never find in big chain stores. You will not find the detail, nor the customer service in those stores like you will find here. They also have a good range of sizes available. I love how soft and the quality of the clothing is just awesome because they last a very long time! What I love most, is how friendly & accommodating they are. I have made several purchases in store and online and they have always exceeded my expectations. The deals that they offer are steals! I also recommend to follow them on fb and/or instagram as they post all of their deals and new items often. I just can't say enough about them!

You could spend hours in this store -- there's lots of vintage glassware, jewelry, home decor items and more to explore! The manager was friendly and helpful, and happy to answer our questions about the set in the window. As we took a closer look at it, he told us he'd give the person who was selling it here a call to see if she could do any better on the price. After taking a quick break to grab coffee next door and do some research, we found that the set was priced very competitively as compared to what we were finding online. We went back in, made a deal, and my friend went home with the most beautiful set of bar glasses complete with a gold holder to keep them all in place. 10/10, would visit again.

In particular, this shop has an amazing collection of glass wear. Tons of rare sets from France and England, many unique highball glass designs. The prices here aren't "cheap" but very fare for what they're offering (but much less expensive than shops like A Touch of the Past). I'll definitely be back and am already mourning the daisy highball glasses I didn't buy.

Before entering the showroom, you walk through a mini store where if you buy something, you can enter the showroom for free which is pretty nice. As someone who loves horror movies, I really enjoyed seeing all the costumes, props and pieces from different movies on display. The showroom was nicely decorated as well. The guy there (I think the owner) seemed happy to talk about any pieces as well.

I mean, a place like Peddler's Village has something for everyone and it's definitely worth a return trip, which is just what my wife and I did after having visited a few years prior. You see, we were spending a few nights in nearby New Hope/Lambertville which makes a trip to PV almost a must as it's only about 10 minutes from those areas. Now if you haven't been here before, think of it like an Old Mistick Village/Kitchen Kettle Village/Smithville Shoppes kind of area (told you I like villages). What's great here though are plenty of shops you won't find elsewhere, at least not in those aforementioned shop areas. There's some crossover, but mostly the options here are unique and honestly pretty vast. What's really nice about Peddler's is the setup as the stores encompass a few greenery areas, but there are also some along a few streets and a whole other small shop area on the other side of one of these roads. Despite having been here prior, my wife and I still spent several hours going in and out of many stores and finding plenty of goodies. Those goods varied from house decor, to spices, to oils and honeys, to a few small gifts for family. Even better than the shopping might be the food and drink options. You'll find a few places to actually sit and have a meal as well as a winery (with some great vino), a brewery (shout out to Free Will!), a coffee/drink shop (Mama Hawks FTW), and a lot more. On top of that, Peddler's does a lot of seasonal celebrations of sorts. Our first trip was in the Fall and so the area was lined with tons of different scarecrows all made by different people. This recent trip was right after Easter and there was "artwork" created using Peeps marshmallows. Both referenced plenty of pop culture favorites and it was a nice added bonus to the experience. Overall, Peddler's Village is a gem of a spot. You're bound to find something worthy of buying and you'll definitely be here longer than you probably intended. Only downside is the place can get crowded, especially on a nice weekend day, so if you can find the time to head over early or during the week, make it happen. I know I'll be back again at some point whenever we find ourselves not too far away, because you can't go wrong with a cute village, am I right?

You can walk along small stone paths with flowers and charming buildings all around. The shops sell many different things like handmade crafts, gifts, art, and specialty foods. It's a nice place to browse and maybe find a unique gift. If you have kids with you, they'll enjoy it too. There's a carousel and some fun games for them, so parents can relax while kids stay entertained. There are also good food options. You can get things like seafood, pizza, and other fresh local dishes. And of course, don't miss dessert--there's homemade ice cream and tasty pastries from the bakeries. If you go during special events like seasonal festivals or craft fairs, it's even more fun. Local artists show their work and there's extra entertainment, which makes the place feel lively and festive. And don't forget, this place becomes special during Christmas time....
