We were told, "Another applicant came through, so we'll let you know," and were passed over. Two weeks after that, we were contacted and asked if we were still interested. We said yes, and only then were told there was "missing rental verification" (even though we had already supplied that to Kevin directly, and he confirmed receipt) and that we needed to reapply and pay new application fees--$75 per applicant plus $25 for ESA verification--even though charging duplicate application fees appears to violate Illinois HB 4926. We reapplied anyway because we didn't want to lose the house. Communication was slow, inconsistent, and updates only came after repeatedly contacting the office. The owner of the property requested a double security deposit, which we agreed to, and then we received written confirmation from Kevin that our offer was accepted. That same day, Brett Kendrick told us, "Another applicant came through, so we'll let you know." After nearly a month of delays, shifting terms, repeated reopenings of the process, and additional fees, we withdrew and requested a refund, which was denied. Beyond the financial impact, this process cost us significant time and emotional distress. As a rental property owner myself, this was the most unprofessional exchange I've had. Renters should be aware that even if you apply, and qualify, and are approved, nothing is final.

We had no issues with the management of the complex until Monday, May 24th. We received a collections letter for Brittany Springs for the move out fee. On March 3, 2021 a money order was personally handed to the accountant at the complex. And as indicated on Monday May 24th we get this letter. We did resolve the issue with Brittany Springs, it was determined to be the fault of the complexes accountant. Now the issue is having the black mark removed from the credit report. I believe it should the responsibility of who started this mess to clean up their mess. Make sure to make and keep copies of any and all transactions when dealing with any and everyone.

I don't recommend- I've had nothing but NUMEROUS issues with my house after moving in. My windows…read morecurrently leak and pour water every time it rains (had to literally run around during tornado warnings with towels to try to secure the windows) and just got a message today from the company saying this was a problem from before they took over and they closed the work order. In my window sills there is literal growing mold because of the water that comes in, yet they're not interested in fixing it. Now I'll be contacting the code department to serve that the windows are not up to code and demand they get replaced. & did I mention they know I'm 3 days out from giving birth.. and the first time I contacted them about the windows was June 24, it's now Sept 11th- what a head ache. I believe they stage houses to look nice before you rent, then you move in and realize all of the problems you're about to endure. Also here is texts from there maintenance guys that even agreed the windows need replaced and are irreparable.

She is strict but I feel that it is actually a very refreshing and great thing to have because we knew and felt that the property was kept up well and that we would be heard and taken of very well too. The tenants are her NUMBER ONE PRIORITY! Living here has been great. We have never really had any problems with our unit and any problems we bring to Linda are usually fixed within a 24-hour period. Communication with her is fantastic, and she is always available to listen to our concerns! She is also ALWAYS so warm and fantastic with my 2 kids even when they pester me to visit her office every time we walk past it! She is always willing to put aside time for YOU. If not for the fact that our family is simply getting just too big for the units they offer here, we would probably have continued to stay on. We will truly miss the amazing tenant care and service we have received at Parkside over the last 2 years. We are really going to miss living here. The complex has a mix of families and roommates as well as ages and races which makes the environment welcoming. The condo space itself is well cared for and extremely spacious. Living in them 2bd 2ba unit was great for our family of 2 adults and 2 children and cat. The storage space and remodeled kitchen made them unit extremely desirable which we would have stayed in the complex if we did not have another little one on the way. If you are looking for a centrally located, well cared for and inviting place to live I would highly recommend Winston Oaks.

Maintenance staff is super quick to fix any work order and to clean up the snow as well keeping the community looking spectacular. Indoor pool and hot tub are awesome during winter. Fitness center is equipped with precor equipments. There is an ample guest parking around the buildings. Private entrances which are very uncommon in Chicago area make it feel like a townhouse than an apartment. Really glad we decided to move here, we don't see us leaving anytime soon.
