What struck me immediately was wide doors, something I have missed even while living in 2500 sqft houses! Our heavy, bulky furniture easily moved past these doors without challenging the movers! The master bedroom could accommodate our king-size bed, with two side consoles, and a dressing table with room to spare. There is ample storage in closets, the laundry room, and the space under the stairs. ( I loved extra storage space) The built quality is nice and all the units are equipped with wi-fi ready smart-home technology. The community has regular amenities, with a children's park coming up soon. They are also very pet-friendly. They also maintain it well with regular and swift clean-ups. A shout-out to the administrative staff here. They are attentive, kind, and quick to respond to any issues that may arise. I have had good experiences with Paige, Bri, and Alicia individually and no one has ever fallen short. Kudos to these hard-working ladies. However, I wish parking was covered considering the weather here and we had a few bike stands scattered across the property.

Often there are late loud parties where law enforcement has docked on my door for video footage. Even after fresh mulching and a downpour of rain knocking everything onto the sidewalks, the grounds crew cleans it all up very fast. There was a drainage problem this Spring/Summer with standing water in the entrance causing potholes, so instead of just cheap patchwork that most places would do, the apartments installed a large drain system under the road and repaved everything nicely - and fast. The apartments themselves vary in upkeep/updating, but even the older models are very nice. Appliances are all kept up in nice condition and if there is ever a problem, maintenance will fix it quickly. The units are shockingly quiet, despite some noisy neighbor problems, but what can you do? The building is nicely insulated, keeping your utility costs down. Apartment staff is super friendly and helpful. I hope they never change!

They have public laundry rooms but if you pay more you can have a washer and dryer in your apartment. It's very useful if you like to do laundry late at night. Some of the apartments will have walk-in closets. If you live upstairs you'll have a nice balcony. Maintenance is very good here, they respond quickly. The apartment staff is very pleasant and helpful. They provide cat sitting in case you're out of town. They can only change the food and water, they can't empty the cat litter. Your neighbors in your building are very kind. They'll bring in your packages and set it by the mail area. That's if it's not too heavy or bulky. Cons: Spacious parking although you'll find that people don't have parking skills. Your "neighbors" also drive like idiots here. They either drive super slow or they pull out in front of you. Be wary that these neighbors also like to walk in front of cars vs using the sidewalks. Like anywhere else, you got morons living close to you. It's relatively safe but you do see a bunch of random weirdos that drive around the parking lots and not really stopping. Overall about a 3.5 due to the incompetent drivers, idiots, and weirdos.

Move-in condition was excellent - clean & all appliances in working order. The office staffs are always ready to respond to requests and I have found them invariably pleasant. I love that staffs keeping the residents informed through newsletters and regular emails. They also host social gatherings which are fun to attend as residents of the community. Maintenance staff is super quick to fix any work order and to clean up the snow as well keeping the community looking spectacular. Indoor pool and hot tub are awesome during winter. Fitness center is equipped with precor equipments. There is an ample guest parking around the buildings. Private entrances which are very uncommon in Chicago area make it feel like a townhouse than an apartment. Really glad we decided to move here, we don't see us leaving anytime soon.

This one's going to be a rough one I moved there about 3 yrs ago and the one thing that attracted…read moreme the most was its up keep and the people. The grounds are very well manicured (or at least that's the case on the surface). Once I moved in during that first year everything was very smooth, nice staff, polite people quiet neighborhood. During that second year going into the third this is when the cracks(both figuratively and literally) began to rear their heads. Let's start with the pool, during a recent summer we had random people coming over who did not live in the complex going into the pool, and they weren't just going into the pool they'd stay until well past dark blasting music and being extremely rude to the actual tenants that lived there. So it looked like after these incidents (because there were multiple) they placed cameras facing the pool, area(good). But then as of the current summer of 2026 the pool has not been open but for less than a week! An amenity we pay for! We are now entering July! This leads me into the subject about the property being surface level manicured. Within my first year of living here the weekly the hallways were cleaned as of right now in 2026 it went from weekly to now sparingly cleaned and vacuum. Let's move towards pest (yes pest) when I first moved here I wasn't under any delusions that the occasional spider would be seen but this place is infested they are in the vents, they are underneath the rugs they are even in the firer alarm systems because when you replace the batteries in them chances are they will come rushing out and or trigger the sensors on a regular basis. Their vents are old, some have moisture damage (we will come back to the moisture damage there's plenty to discuss there as well. The dust build up in the apartment no matter how hard you clean never disappears a huge part of that is the vents themselves are dusty and have decades of build up, the pipes build up lime like I have never and I mean NEVER seen. The next and most important part is the water damage it's subtle but it's everywhere and I wasn't the only tenant who experienced this wall buckling because pipes are leaking within the walls and because the walls are cheaply made they buckle from the inside and bubble outward, the walls are paper thin you can hear almost everything so no actual privacy. Then there's a matter of health issues. I spoke to several tenants who claim they got sick almost regularly while living there headaches, back aches, dizziness, waking up in sweats in the middle of the night, rapid heart beats and how we know it's the property is when you leave the property for work after an hour or two you are completely fine! It's when you come home that you begin to feel ill. This could be a heck of a coincidence but given the chalk paint they've used on the walls, the very bad carpeting that sheds and buckles because it's not adequately stapled to the floor properly, the spider infestation, the squirrel infestation yes we had squirrels roaming into the walls last year. The water itself being hard, the water damage within the walls my bet is there's quite a bit of mold and bacteria through out the apartments. The last thing I will focus on is the gym, that gym is the saddest thing I've ever seen in an apartment complex the machines are beyond out of date, broken, parts missing and dark and just not very clean as well, spiders again everywhere. Would i recommend this place to work colleagues, friends or family absolutely not. While the outside and the people are great that's where it ends and it's a shame because it was not like that the first year of living at Remington was there imperfections yes no place is perfect but there's a noticeable decline both in the maintenance and as I said I have real concerns when it comes to health code issues because I was constantly sick there and when I moved into another place literally all of my symptoms went away the random waking up in the morning with bug bites gone and stopped so take that for what you will.

There are some good things and some bad things. The apartments look really nice and are very open, with lots of natural lighting. If ever there was maintenance needed, it was done in a timely manner (within a week), and I was always given plenty of notice (both emails and text messages) prior to anyone entering my apartment. The complex will allow you to break your lease, but like everywhere else, you will need to pay a fee. You will also need to pay a fee when you move out if you break anything. If you have neighbors that smoke (cigarettes or marijuana), you will be able to smell it in the hallways. This is pretty typical for most apartment complexes. The gym is absolute crap and desperately needs to be updated. The some of the buildings are a bit drafty by the windows, and could benefit from being renovated. Over all condition is well insulated, though. If you have issues with your neighbors, try to handle it yourself as the staff can only do so much if a) you have no proof that your neighbors are doing anything wrong and b) if they aren't doing anything that is specifically against the rules for the complex. The rent for these apartments can be a little pricey for what is offered. Overall, I have no problem with with recommending this place to anyone. I personally feel that you need to be realistic when looking for apartments, and understanding that everywhere you go is going to have its issues. So far, this has been my best experience with living in apartments. The main reason for the 4 start rating instead of a 5 star, is that there are renovations that are needed.

And the front door to the apartment.....completely scraped up a quarter of the way from the bottom. There is a reason these apartments are so cheap! The units are old, stink and are depressing. Sorry won't be renting here.

You should feel welcome in your place of living not harassed. Because of this, I don't recommend this complex to anyone.
