This was my first stop when wedding gown shopping and I couldn't have had a better experience. I was rather nervous about being the center of attention that day and having to be critical about myself in different gowns, but as soon as I walked in I felt more at ease. Mostly due to the fantasy(Harry Potter, Doctor Who, LOTR) decor hidden within the bridal aesthetic. This made my inner nerd feel at home. I loved the variety of the dress selection and many of the dresses she selected for me. My budget was $4000 and with gown, veil, sleeve add on, and rush fee it was still below my budget Amanda was fantastic, very helpful and kind but without it feeling like she was trying to sell me something. Just a very genuine experience. If this is your first stop like it was mine she will have many tips on how to go about picking your gown, even if it's not from her shop. Side note: we came in early for a follow up appointment and while we waited she was doing some clerical work placing orders for dresses via the computer, but what I loved was she followed up with the orders by calling and verifying they went through before the end of the business day. So if you are looking for a beautiful and genuine gown shopping experience that will leave you feeling at ease and well taken care of, then this is your place. Amanda is the owner and was very nice when we stopped in the day before when there was a Sample Sale. We also confirmed our appointment for the next day since she didn't respond earlier. We saw a really nice Sample dress that my younger daughter tried on which was beautiful and only $899 but she's not even engaged yet! So we arrived today for our 10am appointment excitedly looking forward that my older daughter would find something for her Fall wedding! I had read her reviews on Yelp how she helped mostly all the brides find their "Perfect Dress" So I was excited that she could do the same! Amanda listened to what things I liked and disliked about dresses and she understood my body shape and was able to help me find something that fit my body! I felt so soft and feminine, but also with a little bit of sexiness in a tasteful amount :) She also checked with the company to find the dress style I wanted in the dual tone that I preferred. Oh where do I even start with Lorien Bridal? Before I'd even truly begun the wedding planning process, I knew I had to go to Lorien Bridal for my dress. It's not a spoiler that I did, and the dress itself was everything I wanted and more, but the highlight of the experience really was Amanda herself. There's so much I can say about this beautiful shop and it's lovely owner Amanda. I chose to include one person in my dress shopping experience as my bridal party lives states away. I initially found Lorien by searching for non-traditional bride wedding outfits in LA and I am so happy that I found them. It was less than a mile from my apartment and a nerdy wedding shop! It felt like a great fit. I had a long engagement and since I really had no idea what I actually wanted I wanted to start very early. Literally, I can not say enough good things! 10/10 and all the gold stars you can give! I stumbled upon Lorien Bridal at a Bridal Expo. I was able to try 3 sample dressess on that they were selling. Of course the fairytale princess dress I wanted to try on someone else had. But since I was the last one of the day Amanda let me try it on after the other girl had left and I fell in love with it!!! I ended up making an appointment and going to the shop to try on more dresses. I ended up buying the one I tried on at the expo! Yesterday I picked up my dress and tried on some veils. I tried on veils at a different bridal store closer to where I live and it was a bad experience! They wouldn't let me take photos to show my mom who wasn't there as it's a "rule", wanted $585 for the veil i liked and said it would take 4-6 months to get it. That didn't sound right to me! I called Amanda and she said it should be 4-6 weeks for a veil and that we could try some on when I picked up my dress! I literally tried on (what appeared to be) the exact same veil at Lorien's for a fraction of the cost $181. It's perfect! The veil, the dress everything!!! Amanda is amazing and gives good styling tips on earrings and accessories. Is always positive and happy for the bride. I feel like she put my nerves at easy by answering all my questions and giving me good advice when looking for a seamstress. I can't wait for my wedding day so I can wear my beautiful dress and veil!
