I asked to talk to the dr about it and was told to wait but after 20 minutes of waiting I had to leave. I came back and had it done. About a month ago the pain came back. I went to my dentist and got x-rays and they told me to go back to Dr. Fein as he should be open to redoing the work if it wasn't done correctly. I go see him today and immediately he claimed that the pain was due to the filling my dentist did being done incorrectly or a new infection. He wouldn't even think that it may have not been done fully or he may have missed something. I was told coldly that I could have it retreated, at my own cost. He would absolutely not do anything unless I paid for it. I sent an email regarding thei to he and my dentist in which Dr. Fein replied and denied he had charged me for a deep cleaning and that he never said that my filling wasn't done correctly. He made up a bunch of words and replied to the email. It was in total BS. He actually lied in this email! Read the good reviews but also read the bad ones. This guy apparently does a good job on most but anyone he doesn't do a good job on is refused any type of follow up care or refund. It's a crap shoot and too expensive of one to take. This guy took way more time in replying to my email and lying about what he said then he ever took explaining the bill or the process to me. He words his response email as though he is so professional. He's not. I guarantee he charges everyone an extra "deep cleaning fee" whether they need it or not. Go elsewhere!

Fast forward a couple weeks, day of the procedure finally arrived. His assistant was amazing. She made sure I was comfortable and waited a bit while the medicine kicked in. He warned when a tool would make a sound so I wasn't frightened. Honestly painless and best experience I've had with dental work. His assistant was super personable and really enjoyed talking with her while I waited for the meds to kick in. She eased my nerves and made me feel comfortable. Unfortunately, a 3D scan by my root canal dr showed I had to have a tooth extracted. My first time and I was terrified. He referred me to Sang Kim and I went there that day. Sang Kim met with me for about 5 minutes and said he would be pulling my tooth right then. I was shocked, this meeting was to be a consultation! The office staff came in 1 minute later, quickly ran through the procedure (with generic images online), had me sign a consent form, and had me pay over $2,000 RIGHT THEN. I have insurance, but they wanted their cash before issuing to insurance. They even said if my insurance sent me a credit, to bring the check to them! What?! While sitting their confused and now broke, all I could think was this guy was recommended by my dentist and I trust my dentist. BIG MISTAKE! If it feels wrong, it is wrong. Here is the situation, my tooth (a previous root canal tooth) got infected to the point it had deteriorated the bone under the gum. It was the infection that hurt and the reason I went to the dentist. Was it painful, yes. But not so painful I couldn't wait a few days to let some antibiotics clear it up before surgery. Sang Kim did not give me that option. Nor did he give me the option for sedation. 10 minutes after forking over a huge sum of money, I was in the chair getting numbed. Here is the first of what was soon to be the most painful experience EVER! The tech didn't put the surface numbing gel everywhere the dr would inject the numbing needle. When he hit the un-numbed area in my mouth it was like my brain was struck with lightning. I screamed with pain. He didn't stop - just said this was the most painful part. A few minutes later, he started pulling. I would tell him, "I can feel this, it hurts!" He didn't stop. Again I tell him, "I can feel this, it hurts!". He didn't stop. It is so painful, I start crying uncontrollably. He only stopped when he had the tooth pulled. After a small break, he resumed work to clear out the infected areas. AGAIN I tell him, "this hurts, I can feel it!". He didn't stop. I start crying again, tears flowing down my face, He doesn't stop. I start screaming in pain. He only stops to bring in more staff and shuts the door - apparently more afraid about those in the waiting room than the excruciating pain I was enduring. After another small break, so I could get my crying under control, he returns for the bone grafting - again I CAN FEEL IT AND IT HURTS! At this point I'm physically pushing their hands/instruments away from my face. Once he is done, I'm laying there crying. He nor his staff did anything to help me. All they would say was "That was a bad infection". So I ask, then why not let me take antibiotics before the procedure, or give me the option for sedation. They said nothing. I felt so violated! I'm in so much pain and crying so hard I could barely see to drive home. No one should EVER go to this place! All he cared about was getting paid - he showed no regard for my wellbeing. The surgery was performed 10/2/2025.

Dr. Tran is the best dentist I've been to! He was able to perform an extraction in office without needing to send me out to an oral surgeon. The filings were quick and easy, and he did a great job on my root canal! I've been to several dentists before that have struggled with addressing issues with my teeth. It is partly why it has been so long since my last visit. But, Dr. Tran has been professional, helpful, laid out a clear plan, and has made it seem easy fixing my teeth each step of the way! The office has been very helpful running my insurance, updating me on where things stand, and giving me estimates for what everything will cost so that I am not surprised by the costs. And, costs have been about 15-20% cheaper than what I was expecting based on my experiences with other dentists. I don't know if that is just the office or a function of my dental insurance though.
