We visited Premier Dance and met the owners Mr. David and Mrs. Renee. Right away they took my daughter under their wing and created classes for her to start dancing again. They are a breath of fresh air and extremely talented duo. My daughter is now taking classes 3 days a week and we love all of the different teachers and genres they have to offer. Wish this could have been our studio when she was little due to the extremely professional training she is receiving now, But happy that her teen dance years will be with Premier Dance.

My daughter was a part of another much larger program in Long Beach for 4 years prior to coming to this ballet school in Los Alamitos. After last season she did not want to return to ballet. She wanted to quit. We truly honor our kids wishes and so I was ready to let it go but then I did some research and found LABS. So far my daughter LOVES it. If you truly do not love the art I believe that you are never going to push yourself to your potential. Renee teaches my daughter and she is so kind, thoughtful and most importantly invested in my daughter being the best version of herself. She takes the time to correct her without making her feel bad about herself. She respects where she is at. To have a studio like this is Los Al is very rare - their values align with ours and to have a role model that my daughter can identify is worth its weight in gold. I am excited that my daughter is finding joy in ballet again and I hope that she continues for years. Our experience at our old institution was so impersonal and often times rooted in fear of not following rules or asking for flexibility. To come here is so refreshing but more so what the world needs more of - a place to feel like you belong. Thank you Renee for allowing my child to be a child and bringing the joy of dance back to her life. Running a small business like this is not easy but adds so much value to our communities and it is equally important to support them back.

We have taken tap, contemporary, ballet, and Aerial silks. My girls have been taking ballet with Ms. Victoria this season and I really appreciate her teaching style. She is very attentive to their form and body posture and technique, yet does it in a fun and gentle way. She doesn't allow them to get away without a pointed foot! I really feel that their ballet technique will improve thanks to her guidance. My girls also take aerial silks with Ms Tiffany. I cannot say enough about this wonderful teacher. She is passionate about Aerial and my girls absolutely love her class! She's a great teacher because she actually demonstrates the moves, guides the students when they need direction or instruction, and is always very attentive to their safety. As a mother, I appreciate that the most! Aerial can be a daunting sport to start, but she makes it fun and is very encouraging to help them try new moves. My girls are advancing quickly thanks to her direction and leadership. I'm grateful to Ms Rachel, Ms Maribel and the rest of the admin team who works tirelessly in the background. Whether that is helping you with registration, getting costumes arranged for shows and photoshoots, and/or helping you with make-up lessons, they are accommodating and always very helpful when you email them. Lastly, I just have to talk about their Nutcracker performance. It is absolutely stunning! They do their holiday Nutcracker show to a live orchestra and it is and incredible experience for your dancer to be part of such a beautiful production. It is well choreographed, the costumes are superb, and the entire artistry of the show is well put together. They work very hard on this performance and it really shows. The kids look forward to it every season and it is a joy to watch from the audience. Thank you Ms. Rachel for creating a studio to carry on the passion of dance to our next generation. I know you are working very hard to try to make it a great experience for our dancers and for our families, and we do appreciate all your hard work. Strong Dance is located in a strip mall on Walker Street in Cypress. There's plenty of free lot parking nearby. When you walk in, you'll most likely be greeted by a friendly person at the desk just to the left. The studio itself is deceivingly large. There are a few dance rooms and TONS of sitting room for parents and siblings. It's clean. And tastefully decorated with large framed black and white photos of their students with their dance biographies. Our daughter brought her own jazz shoes, but the studio also had some available for the girls to borrow. Ms. Esther was our troop's patient and enthusiastic instructor. All the girls seemed to enjoy her style of teaching. If we didn't live quite so far away, this would be a spectacular place for our daughters to learn and grow!

Accommodating, professional, caring, and motivating!…read more After dancing for over a decade as a child, more than anything I had hoped our daughter would choose any other activity. After months of begging, I finally caved and allowed her to take "just one" class in 2015. Upon the recommendation of some friends, we chose CSDA. Our experience could not have been more different than mine was as a child. Communication is excellent. Advance notice is given for all recitals, rehearsals, and any changes. The entire team of instructors puts the needs of their students first and foremost, working to make sure each student reaches their best potential. Students are moved up levels when they are ready, and not a moment before. Those interested in joining more advanced groups audition for them by invitation, and I have personally witnessed the staff upholding ethics on more than one instance. Oh, and costumes are always appropriate. When COVID hit, we were honestly crushed. We feared the worst, since it definitely isn't one class any longer. Instead, the team of teachers pivoted immediately and found ways of reaching the kids, starting with Instagram, then moving more formally to Zoom. While we lost a season of recital and competition, the students gained skills and we're able to keep up connections. Once studios were once again able to open, they were incredibly accommodating, continuing to offer Zoom classes for students who could not attend in person due to health concerns of their own or family members. They have continued to require masks of all staff and of all students until vaccinated (as mandates allow for the flexibility, when masks are required for all it is followed!) During a of the uncertainty of opening and closing again, constant and informative emails were sent to all parents. I thought years ago we would be one year and done. One class and done. Instead, we are up to nine classes, and our only child has found an extended family. We will keep her at CSDA until she decides dancing is no longer fun. Given the staff and her fellow students, I have a feeling she will age out of the studio before she tires of the art/sport.
