I never do reviews on places; however, this is our 2nd time here in 3 months - and both experiences were quite terrible. This is not to blame the staff, as it seems there is only one server to take care of the entire restaurant? But even with the one server - he showed a complete lack of urgency for anything... It took at least 15 minutes to even be acknowledged at our table - our appetizers came out before our waters (which I had to ask for waters again and the host brought only 1 to the table), the queso was cold, we ordered a beer and margarita to start, I didn't get my margarita until I finished my entree... supposedly the owner was there - but was nowhere present helping the staff in any way. We were in Los Alamos to visit the museum and decided to have lunch. They have a a very varied Menu . The problem is the food wasn't that god. My cheese steak I think was a hamburger patty and it hardly had any cheese on it. My niece got Mac n cheese and she didn't eat because she didn't like it. We gave this place another try. It has improved greatly since its opening! The menu has expanded in a good way. The price and quantity balance has improved greatly. The service has always been great and continues to be. The ambiance is great with both indoor and outdoor seating available. We sat in the covered outdoor seating and enjoyed a rain storm while having dinner. It was a nice experience. The restaurant is located in downtown Los Alamos near the breweries and Ashley Pond, so this place makes a great date night. We headed to the concert at Ashley Pond after dinner. We split the fig jam and ham on naan and mango habanero wings. The fig jam and ham was so so good! The flavor was sweet and slightly salty. I will order this again for sure! The mango habanero wings were good. They were also sweet, but no real heat to them. However, the flavor was great. I think I will order the buffalo wings next time to give those a try. Still a work in progress. The burger was decent and the chicken sandwich was ok. The furies were from the bottom of the basket and left a lot to be desired. It's nice to have another place in Los Alamos serving cocktails, but the bartender needs a lot of training. I would not order cocktails there again. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I have eaten here 5 times now, twice dining in, and three times take-out. The food has always, up until my latest dining experience, been fair to good. This last order for three chicken sandwiches for myself and co-workers was pretty terrible. Chicken was overcooked and leathery. This is from the point of view of a former Army grunt too.... The service was great. We experienced the robot, who my son likes every time we come here. And the human waitstaff is very friendly. My son loves the fried chicken sandwich with fries. this trip I enjoyed the spicy shrimp tacos. The green rice and black beans really hit the spot. chips and salsa and guacamole started the evening conversation. Finished the meal off with the key lime pie.
