My husband loves air shows, so when he heard the Blue Angels were performing, we booked our tickets in a hurry. First of all, it's in Lancaster, which makes sense because there is NOTHING out there. There were a ton on high schoolers volunteering with the parking situation, but it was really unnecessary having that many hands on deck. You park out on a dirt area, so if your car just got cleaned, you're gonna be mad when the show's over. Adult tickets online were $20, $25 on site. Parking was $10. My biggest annoyance was that 2 adult tickets and parking was $50, but the family package for 2 adult tickets, 2 kids tickets, and parking was also $50. Great if you have a family, a rip off if you don't. I purchased my tickets online so all I had to do was print them out and go through the line to get my bag checked. Easy. There's a bunch of food options available here. Burgers, nachos, chicken bowls, funnel cakes, corn dogs...typical fair type food. There's a LOT of port-o-potties onsite as well. They had a number of different planes, choppers, and cars around for people to take pictures of...kinda cool. The main event is obviously the flying planes, and they did not disappoint. Since it's an air show, there isn't a bad seat. Speaking of seats, make sure you bring one. Those typical camping and soccer mom chairs will do just fine. The air show lasted about 4.5 hours, so you definitely get a bang for your buck. Tips: bring a chair, bring a jacket (it gets very windy), and if you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. read more

I have the same issue as so many other on this page. I purchased tickets for March 2020 show but due to COVID-19 it wasnt able to happen. which I understand. According to them the show was just "postpone" and that we could go to the 2021 event. Welp...its freggin 2021...ive reached out 3 times or more and they will ignore requests for either a refund...or requests for our tickets to be valid for the 2021 show. They have stole so so so many peoples money. Does anyone think this should be handled legally? Anyone a lawyer? Can believe they took so many peoples money and just ran off. read more

Has anybody had any updates on this? Like many of you, I purchased tickets for the 2020 airshow and understood the need to cancel. They mollified us by saying they were going to try and honor the tickets at a future show but I reached out to "AttendStar" today and they say that the company running it "went broke" and never paid them. So who is running the LA County Air Show now?? Were the people previously in charge held accountable for showing where all the money went from ticket sales? If I'm not getting a refund OR having my ticket honored at a future event then I at least want to know who ended up with all that money. read more

One of Bestof events in SoCal Must bring chair,shade, ice cooler. Then your be golden. Food is $5-15 overpriced junk food. For great photo use a camera with more than 6x zoom. Small static display, Big Air Show in the sky. Wingauits, U2, F16, Shockwave jet truck, extended F18 Blue Angels display. Price is steep($25+$10 parking) but it's and once year and parking is smooth. Definetly NOT Happy with the outcome of how this Los Angeles County Air Show handled their 2020 Air Show Cancellation. No Refund or an Acknowledgement of a future LA Air Show Prepaid Date has Yet been annouced. Very poorly handle. read more

My son and I had a blast at the air show. There were thousands of people there - surprised not that many yelp reviews. Bathrooms were very clean and numerous amount so not much waiting time. The thunderbirds were so awesome! My son met pilots up close and got their autographs :) food and drinks are so pricey! Next time I'll bring my picnic basket :) Bring lawn chairs or u will be standing and sunblock! read more

Excellent air show. Well organize. Had a great time, a perfect venue for family and friends to enjoy watching one of America's finest flying teams. The Thunder Birds were awesome. The Heritage War bird fly by was terrific. A10s' flying in formation with a P 38 Lighting was a show stopper. read more

I would give the actual show 5 stars - it was really exciting to see all the different aircrafts and stunts they did. Parking was pretty simple and the entrance pricing wasn't too bad. However - there was an aspect to the event that almost made it unbearable, and I almost left and went home. First of all, you are not allowed to bring in any food and can only bring one sealed container of water. I understand the show wants to make money on food and beverage, however the setup and organization for such services was unacceptable. We arrived at the show at 10 am and stayed until 4pm, expecting to have some carnival type food for lunch. We got in line at one of the food carts at noon and did not get through the line for 2 HOURS. It wasn't that the line was just long - the service was incredibly slow so that even when we were at the front of the line it probably took the employees 5-10 minutes per guest to get their food. There were only about five different food stands and they all appeared to have similar lines and wait times. I was highly frustrated to be waiting in line and not enjoying the show. Now sure, perhaps we could have just had a big breakfast and skipped the food lines all together, however the next problem deals with water. For a very sunny, in the elements show in which you are only allowed to bring one container of water inside with you, water should be freely available for purchase. Not so. The only place you could get water was from the said food stands we waited in line 2 hours for. I will point out there were about 10 lines for beer exclusively that of course did not sell water. I would not attend this event again unless they improved the food/water conditions or if they allowed attendees to bring their own food into the show. It's really a shame that the event organizers failed on this aspect as the actual air show was really fun and I'd love to attend again. read more

Horrible. Got there at 12:30. Immediately got in line for food. Left my wife in line while my son and I watched the airplanes. 1.75 hrs later we gave up waiting and had to leave to get food. Management will not let you bring in food and does not provide enough for everybody. I bet they got to eat though. read more

First time at the air show and I had a great experience with me two eldest daughters. Minus one star for the pricing. $25 for an adult and $20 each for kids on the entrance, $10 for parking, food/drinks ($8 for a beer), souvenirs ($15 for a toy plane), it all seemed a bit excessive. I've heard horror stories from previous years on the traffic and parking, but this year I did not encounter one problem. There was plenty of parking and we showed up well after things got started. No wait getting in with plenty of workers directing traffic. It was a bit of a walk to the entrance from the parking area we were designated to, but it wasn't a big deal. Lots of tents to visit with nice of giveaways. The girls collected quite a few posters and saw some cool interactive exhibits. Things were nicely setup with exhibits near the entrance, food vendors on either side, and plenty of porta-potties and trash cans everywhere. We never really had a wait in line for anything, which was nice considering the amount of people at the event. The one thing that we didn't bring which would have been helpful, were chairs. No seating provided at the air field so most people brought thier own chairs or blankets to lay on the ground. We ended up poppin a squat on the ground which wasn't a big deal. All of the planes were pretty awesome. The group that did the simulated dog fight was cool. The wing walker was also another cool one. Pretty much every plane we saw was fun to watch. I myself was looking forward to the Blue Angels, which were awesome as usual. Seeing them up close was a treat and great experience. We started walking for the car before the Blue Angels finished. We actually had a pretty good view of them from the parking lot as they did thier aerial acrobatics and flight formations. We headed out before the rush and had no wait exiting the area. Overall it was a fun event. It is something I would definitely come back and see again. read more

Second consecutive year attending. I've not had any issues with traffic, but then I go on Sunday and wait for the military jets to leave before heading to my car. As a result, I'm on the 14 heading home less than five minutes after starting my car. My only complaint is a relative lack of military participation in the static display. I know that's likely a lingering knock-on effect of sequestration and whatnot, but it is really the only thing remotely close to a wart. Perhaps unfair to ding the event a star for something that's probably beyond their control may seem harsh, especially considering the excellent STEM display and the participation of the local aerospace contractors. But there is no half-star option, ces't la vie. The show is well organized and staffed by volunteers who know what they're doing. Services, prices and facilities are commensurate with other air shows, and I usually attend several every year, and have done so for decades. read more

This Air Show is not affiliated with LA County Govt. It is a private business that received money for tickets and then refused to reimburse it once the event was cancelled. What other business would do such a thing. They made tens of thousands of dollars, put it in their bank account and pockets, and have not said a word. Never sent out a cancellation notice, closed down their web site, and have no phone contact. Their action are those of a con artist, not a reputable business. It saddens me because I would like to support this event. read more

This is the second time that I have been too the Los Angeles County Air Show. Last year was so spectacular seeing the Thunderbirds after such a long time! So this year I thought it would be even better with the Blue Angels. Honestly, I enjoyed the Thunderbirds much more even though the Blue Angels were not that bad. The best thing of the entire event was the reenactment of Pearl Harbor when they had Japanese planes flying over while doing pyrotechnics. That was awesome! Last year was very windy so I would advise bring a jacket if it is going to be windy. However, this time there was no wind and the temperature was over 80°so after sitting on the tarmac it can get to be quite hot so you better be able to handle it and also bring sun block and possibly an umbrella and definitely a chair. That would be much easier than paying for the ones that they're selling. I brought my own because I am disabled so I brought my wheelchair. :-). The only thing that I would like them to upgrade is the parking lot because it is all dirt! I just had my car washed and you couldn't even tell afterwards. Also, last year they had shuttles that would take you to the front but this time they did not. read more

Five Stars for the Blue Angels. No question the very best show that the Blue Angels put on. As for the event itself.....very poor restroom facilities at this event. With the level that this show was trying to attain with having the Blue Angels there, the execution of the basic needs mostly the restroom facilities was poorly done. It would have been so easy and affordable with the number of people that paid to see the event, to bring in restroom trailers rather than the bottom level construction site boxes. The wait to use these was very long and when we got to the Andy Gump plastic box, toilet paper was empty as well as booty gaskets. Andy Gump had what seemed to be attendants walking around in Andy Gump shirts and hats but we didn't see any indication that the facilities were being maintained. The people with the Andy Gump shirts and hats were just walking around chatting. Poorly done. We won't be back. $4.00 for a cup of soda poured from a two litre bottle that the vendor paid less than a dollar for was rediculous as well. Again, won't be back. I got tickets online for my self, boyfriend, and his mother online, seems there was a better deal if you got a 4 pack but his step father was at Nascar race. I think there would have been more attendance if the 2 events didn't happen on the same day. We arrived just when they started the show. Getting to the parking lot and getting out was easy. Plenty of food and drinks offered across the air field. More people were around where the Blue Angels were parked so we sat off to the side towards Fat Albert. Plenty of Andy Gumps and wash stations. I read up on the info on the website and knew we were to bring lawn chairs, umbrellas, water, and sunblock because it was warm with no seating. You pretty much get a great view of the show no matter where you sit. Heck you can even see it off the 14 freeway! I got chills during the Pearl harbor reenactment and was in awe with the formations the Blue Angels were in. They can be as close as 18 inches in some of them! The U-2 and B-52 were awesome as well. Heck they were all spectacular in their own right. We enjoyed the air show so much that we decided that we will be back next year when the Thunderbirds are in town. There were also numerous planes displayed throughout the field for people to take pictures with and just to get a close look at. There were also pilots around for meet and greets and pics. Wish I would have done that but didn't want to miss the show. I would definitely recommend any one to attend and learn about military aviation and it's history. You have to see some of America's best! read more
