Nope! Taking my business elsewhere. This place is in horrible condition, takes freakin' F O R E V E R to fix things (the 6th floor was damn near horror movie pitch black for MONTHS. Changing lightbulbs is really that hard??) and ok, they email you out of courtesy, but it seems like I'm getting a, "we will be inaccessible on such and such day(s)," email every time I turn around, that is, when I'm NOT getting a, "We're raising your rent...again" email. The icing on the cake is, the people who work here are rude, sarcastic, patronizing and don't lift a finger to help. I am mildly--but clinically, with the papers to prove it-- learning disabled, and when I requested that someone SHOW me how to get to the other elevator (because the main one was broken AGAIN) she laughed and said, "It's REALLY not that hard" without moving an inch. Packing my shit up and finding a new space asap. The rates are MUCH better at Safeway and Safkeep anyway, y'all! Ditch this overpriced shithole. read more

First time using a storage locker, called ahead of time to see available lockers and sizing. Fast and thorough response. Staff is present at all times and was able to get a locker same day. They make it easy to move storage from your car and to your locker. Each floor has its own code and security cameras everywhere so safety is a plus. RESEARCH! Access your needs and ask more questions! ... I will try to make this brief as there were a few occasions over a one year plus span. So instead of listing them all, I'll give a bullet point. (happy to discuss/answer questions in the comments). I'm sure, majority of the 5 star comments I've read here are from the customers first initial time of moving into this space. I must say, compared to my previous review while obtaining a storage space from here and being that the staff will encourage you to write a review of your onboarding experience; we have done a complete 180. The "customer service" completely changed once I obtained my space; from the unpleasant phone calls, to the not so helpful assistance when asking suggestions for anything. After spending thousands of dollars with this place, you'd think they'd appreciate your business (force to keep the space due to my work in TV production; traveling and gone for months filming didn't allow me to move my items). I had one phone call with manager Lily, where I felt so abhorred after the call, that I felt compelled to call back immediately to relay my concerns of how her and the staff speaks to their customers. She did apologize, but it was as if it was no true genuineness behind it. There is a lack of communication between the staff as a whole, many of the staff are not empowered to answer questions or assist in an urgent manner. I would go during business hours and only one staff member would be sitting at the desk (on their phone) and you're greeted as if you're bothering them. This pretty much has happen with all of the staff, no excitement or eagerness to assist. If you're in need of a clean space (other than the water leaks on the 7th floor) to store items safely for a short period of time and will not need to access them often; especially without needing anything customer service wise. This may work for you. (not great access hours for a person that works a 9-5pm job as well) read more

Update: Regretfully, like many things, LA Storage isn't as great as it once was. Their rates go up every year, one of my units had a rat infestation that they begrudgingly dealt with and basically they've gotten difficult to deal with. Their office staff is still nice, but the corporate execs are difficult and unyielding. I hate to huff and puff to get them to address rodent pellets in my belongings. The place still feels safe to me- I like having the office staff aware of my going in and coming out. Storage is the devil and I'm trying to shut it all down but... Good luck. read more

I was recommended this place because it's location near me and the facility being very good. I went down there and the gentleman behind the counter locked up and took me to a couple units because I wasn't sure what size I needed. It is open 7 days a week and has 2 bays to back into. They have big flat carts that you can load up huge loads and take to the elevator. The inside is very clean with music in the back ground. These are hard times for everyone .. covid, moving, lives shifting and changing. We needed a storage space and got one (again, we're return customers) at Los Angeles Self Storage, off 6th in DTLA. Moving day started pretty easy but then we got to the facility and it was really busy. The elevators were being consumed by one large party of movers who seemed to know the ropes on how to get their work done (but at the expense of everyone else). I was worried that we wouldn't get our rental truck back in time... ... then Adam stepped in and started orchestrating everything. He manned the elevator and made sure everyone got what they needed when they needed it (including the consumer-people).. he was like the conductor of an orchestra.
