I got a super burrito also in another day Both were superb. I had shredded beef both times. There is a flavor in that beef that's sensational. I got a great recipe very tender excellent meat. The burrito is excellent. I do have to call out the salsa bar for being top-notch. What an excellent salsa bar. I even told the employee I love your salsa bar cause it had a cover that closed. The food is good! The service okay. The waitress was young and lacks experience for good guest service. Not true Mexican service like Mexico or a guest first atmosphere. The worker didn't even know what part of Mexico the food originated. Nor cared to find out. I also attempted to ask a more mature worker and they just walk right past. So for me the restaurant lacks true Mexican culture. If you just want to eat something good but don't care about service or vibe/culture then this is good. Will not be a good experience for travelers nothing special. Just maybe locals to eat during lunch break. *Business tip-focus on guest experience and bring more culture to your restaurant. First time to Taqueria Don Taco as we were visiting Visalia for a band competition. Went in around 8:30 Saturday night. The place was clean. Service was great. Ordered at the counter and the girl taking our order was friendly and patient as my sister and I talked over the menu. We both ordered the homemade grilled chicken taco and added cheese, she ordered a fish taco & I a crispy shredded chicken taco. The homemade chicken tacos was amazing! The chicken was tender and seasoned to perfection. The homemade tortilla that it came on was warm and delicious as well. We couldn't stop talking how good the chicken and tortilla were with the homemade grilled chicken taco. My crispy taco was delicious. The shredded chicken was seasoned the same way and was very good. My sister says the fish was lightly fried with good flavor. We had a side of chips and salsa. The chips were really good and the salsa bar was clean and had lots of variety to choose from. My wife found this spot on google today and we decided to try them out. We live down the street from the restaurant and just wanted to give a new place a shot especially a locally owned business and let me tell you, they exceeded our expectations. We walked in and immediately were greeted by a smell of seasoning and spices that foreshadowed the delicious flavor of the food. The ordering process is a pay before you eat unlike a normal restaurant which wasn't a problem, the cashier/server was very helpful with any questions we had since it was our first time there. My wife and I both had enchilada plates with beef, which were served with a generous portion of rice and beans, and a small salad. The plate of food for being 13 dollars each had plenty on the plate and not a single part of the bottom was showing. The moment we bit into the enchiladas we were blown away by the flavor, juiciness, and all around authenticity of this Mexican food. It felt like it was made at home, with love, like mama/abuela was making it. The meat, perfect. The rice and beans, the best ones I've had from a Mexican restaurant. The experience today made us want to come here again and think about it all day cause it was just that good. It's been a minute since I've had gotten food from here. Been craving a Torta and wanted to try a new spot other than my usual. It was 7pm on a mon and this spot happened to come up for a delivery option. The only quarrel I have is that they don't have French fries and they don't give enough of that delicious salsa on the side. I asked on my special instructions for more but they didn't deliver "bummer", but I made good use from the one I got. This Torta was HUGE! The meat was flavorful, the bun was soft and chewy, the beans in it I didn't mind! I'm not one for beans in my Torta usually but this meshed so well. It was my first time trying this place and I have never tasted a more amazing, authentic Mexican restaurant. I had my doubts since the price of mine and my husband's plates were cheap and the free chips offered to us were not exactly the best but again, I can't complain since they were Free. Oh my gosh do I love this place! Definitely my go-to place when I'm really craving carne asada tacos. Their steak quesadilla isn't bad either. It is just VERY huge, along with their burritos. Trust me I was starving when I was eating the quesadilla and I was not able to finish it. Their chips sometimes can be stale and bland, which leaves me disappointed (because I can never say no to chips) but I love their salsa bar. Excellent salsa choices. Ordered by phone. Two Asada burritos with everything and 6 asada tacos. Upon picking up our order I noticed only one small plate covered in foil. We were missing 4 tacos. The lady misunderstood the order. No problem as misunderstandings happen so we waited a few more minuets and paid for additional tacos. When we got home I quickly became regretful to find the majority of our burritos filled with can beans, rice and tiny bit of meat. No onion or cilantro.
