Just had my first visit to Los Chingones and had a great time! The atmosphere is relaxed yet upbeat with a little bit of cheek. The staff is really friendly but not overbearing. The menu has a great selection of flavorful options and the food is great! We ordered the elote queso and I definitely recommend this. It was delicious and just the perfect size for my friend and I. We both ordered tacos and enjoyed our meals. I had the bang bang shrimp taco and a birria taco and both were excellent. The portions were perfect for us both. I also appreciate their selection of tequila, cocktails and mocktails. Especially enjoy that they can pretty much make any of their regular cocktails sans alcohol for those who want a fun beverage without the booze. Although the street parking in this area is a little hit or miss since it gets so busy, the neighborhood is very walkable so I don't mind if I need to have a bit of a stroll in order to get here. We will definitely be back for more and remember to take photos of the food! We were having so much fun to relaxing, talking, and enjoying the great food and drinks I forgot pics until the very end of our visit.

Another great meal at this local favorite. The service was swift and pleasant and the tacos even better. Especially enjoyed the Baja taco and the queso too! It was brunch time and the music and social atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat.

The food here was pretty good!! Being out of state from CA, these tacos were actually tasty!! The fish taco was delicious and the salsa verde was yummy. My partner ordered the birria tacos which were delicious too. The service was good. Wasn't too busy when we went. The michelada was okay, still good.

Music was great, good vibes. Tacos were tasty & so were the beans. The fried avocado one was my fav. I got a beer & house marg on HH. Service at the bar was good. She was friendly & prompt. I would've stayed longer but I wanted to explore the area. The restroom was decent.

VERY comfortable seats - probably got strange looks for taking chair pics.

Cool location, great neighborhood, nice outdoor seating, hip. But... Mediocre food at best. Its like they tried to put a flair on everything and missed the mark. Queso and salsa were both ok but strange - not traditional flavors with sweetness where it did not belong. Tacos were nice - the fried fish was great, duck confit was good and different is good so it all does not just run together. Service was also lacking - but that is always variable with the individual serving - it wasnt really packed but it was like pulling teeth to get refills and such. Overall, I'll give it another chance to try different things but in a world where we all judge a place by their chips and salsa, this one fell short. In an area with so much variety, and that I don't frequent, I left thinking, man I wish I'd tried a different place.

The tacos and the margaritas were delicious. They only had corn off the Cobb which was slightly disappointing. Our server was nice and attentive. We sat on the rooftop and enjoyed a nice strong breeze.

This place is in a super vibrant area. Rhino has so many fun, new food options and bars, but this is still one of my favorites.. While there isn't a dedicated parking lot, during the afternoons for lunch plenty of street parking is open and even my most anxious parking friends can easily find a space. The atmosphere is fun, they were playing a playlist of some of my favorite DJs when we walked in. I know during the course of our visit I heard some Sophie Tucker and Disco lines, possibly Dillon Francis too. The staff was super helpful - we had two different servers helping us out. Both were warm and friendly and accommodating. We split five of the tacos because I couldn't decide and wanted to taste them all. I absolutely love the duck and pastor tacos, but to be fair I could've eaten a plate of anyone of the choices. The chef really knows what he's doing with those flavors. My favorite item on the menu is the queso Blanco with the Elote topping. Glad that this doesn't come in any larger of a size as I would probably have to buy new pants. Every time I see a menu, I immediately order it. Luckily, I had some help finishing it off today. I was also working on my laptop, they do have strong Wi-Fi here. However, I've never stopped by a table where there is an outlet - so make sure you come fully charged.

Can here yesterday with friends so they could have a drink. Great upstairs outside deck seatings. We had the 4 salsa's and chips. I liked all 4 very much. The spicy habanero was my favorite! The rooster was also good.

We had a lovely server who was attentive and mindful of my allergies (GF, celiac) for a weekday lunch. The only downside was that the music was absolutely deafening -- one of our party was hearing impaired but we were told that the music volume was unable to be changed (despite only 1-2 other small parties in the restaurant). Meal was a bit pricy but it was a large amount of food. I felt safe eating there and had no concerns arise later. Menu options are small for gluten free needs but again, when the server is knowledgable it always feels like a great experience!

horrible customer service server was rude from the start, told server we had different tabs was upset and says worry about it later very rude, was given the wrong plate and was given very dirty waters cups, horrible server believe her name was Lindsey

Looking at taco places, I went with something close by to our location and found this hidden gem. Nestled away on a small street corner of Clay Street and 32nd Ave. parking can be scarce, but I'm sure with the right time and a little bit of walking you will find and manage your way here. Outside the restaurant, they have a small seating area which now is winter too cold to enjoy, but I'm sure in the spring and summer and fall time is super enjoyable. The inside, though a little bit tiny and no cozier than going to your mom's house and expecting a family Filled living room/Kitchen. We went down and greeted by three smiling faces. We already looked at the photos online and knew we want tacos so opted with the chicken tacos and Carne Asada taco plates. The tacos place option came with 5 tacos with up to 2 choices of meats the ratio would be 2:3 .. freshly mashed guacamole made in front of you or freshly sliced avocado.. In the pictures I listed you will find each chicken and Carne Asada options. Both slow pictures missing two tacos because we devoured them as soon as we got into the truck. Their street tacos are heavenly! Chicken option was all chicken breast super juicy grilled to perfection five tacos on a plate another two tacos missing because my husband and I devoured it. This plate came we asked it with the guacamole option instead of fresh avocado. The carne asada was just FULL of flavor and the fresh avocado slices with green tomatillo salsa SLAPPED.. the tortillas are super soft and tears from how fresh the flour tortillas were!! Definitely a place to sit and eat there to enjoy the hot food. I'm originally from SoCal and a heavily populated Latinos with amazing tacos and food.. Taqueria La Familia passed the bar high!! We can't wait to come back and try other options and will update pictures and review then!

The brunch has a really fun and original idea in that you can order bottomless small plates for $42 per person or bottomless food and drinks for $59 in person, with a two-hour limit.
