Amazing bite. The server was so funny, and really got on our level. We got chips and salsa, and kinda scarfed everything down. The enchiladas were AMAZING and everything I needed! They were smothered and sauce, and so dang filling. Perfect for a long day after hiking and adventuring. The drinks looked cool, just out of our price point. Good vibes, and lots of people yapping and having a great time. I would definitely stop back!
Excellent place. Great value, prices and portion size. Ambiance is freshly inviting. Service is flawless and friendly. All staff were professional and quick. Overall an excellent experience and I will be back.
Wow!! The chile rellenos were excellent! Two peppers stuffed with white cheddar and then battered and fried. Smothered in sauce. Chicken fajitas were delicious too. I got those just for the side of refried beans. Only knock: I really wished the sauce had more heat. Some things were a bit bland as well. Also, parking was very rough. Very crowded, but that also says a lot about how good it is.
Went to Adelitas with friends and it was pretty good! My friend and I did the mix-and-match tacos, and our other friend got a burrito. Everything was super flavorful and we all enjoyed our meals. The drinks were good too! The chips came with four different house sauces and they were all delicious (I wish I remembered the names ). I'd definitely order those again. I also got the queso .. I wasn't expecting it to taste more like shredded cheese, but that might've been on me lol. Parking was easy and free on the street, which is always a plus. My only downside is that I wish the restaurant was bigger. It started to feel a little squished as more people came in. Overall though, service was quick and the staff were really friendly. I'd come back!
A friend recommended this spot, and I'm so glad! We went on taco Tuesday and had no problem getting bar seating (or there were a few tables available) around 5pm but I noticed after 6pm people were waiting for seating. The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!
One of the best Mexican restaurants ever!!! Five stars and then some!!! Very reasonably priced, amazing service, and delicious food. One entree that is an absolute MUST is the Molecajete De Aldelitas. We shared it as an appetizer and it was scrumptious! Drinks were yummy and my husband and I shared a burrito as it was a pretty good size. We parked along the street and was a quick walk away. Great restaurant! Can't wait to go back!
This was our third time at Adelitas Cocina y Cantina, and it continues to impress. One of the things we love most is that there's always something new to try on the menu, even after multiple visits. This time we decided to share the Cielo Mar y Tierra Molcajete, and it is an absolute must-try. The molcajete came out sizzling and packed with flavor--perfectly marinated steak, chicken, and shrimp in a bold, spicy tomato sauce. The combination of nopales, green onions, panela cheese, and melted cheddar made every bite rich and satisfying. It's easily shareable and great with both corn or flour tortillas. Adelitas truly delivers on its reputation as an authentic, family-owned Mexican restaurant, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the food. Welcoming atmosphere and it's easy to see why we keep coming back. Highly recommend if you're in Denver.
Celebrating good news here at Adelita's today. My wife had a coin margarita which she enjoyed enough to have a second. I went with a Michelada; our fabulous waiter told me they had three kinds: original, spicy and Al Pastor flavors. I asked if they could be mixed and he thought that was interesting so I said let's mix all three of them; delicious, but I would probably ease back on the spicy one a little for next time. We had chips and salsa along with queso fundido and chorizo. Both were really good however, their house salsa to me is a bit thin, but has good flavor. This probably is not an issue because they have other salsas. Each time I've been here I've had good service and this time did not disappoint. Queen establishment with the right lighting and good music playing.
Always yummy, great service and chill ambiance. They now offer all day happy hour on Wednesdays! Wahoo!! Drink and food deals and we live to cozy up to the bar. Grateful for such delish sopes!
Adelita's Cocina y Cantina was awesome. The ambiance is lively and welcoming, making it a great spot for a casual night out or a group dinner. Service was super quick and efficient, and the food had all the right flavors. We ordered most of our dishes to share, and they were very accommodating for a group of 4-6 people. I highly recommend trying their specialty drinks, as well as the enchiladas with green sauce. Save room for dessert, the tres leches was the perfect way to end the meal.
Thank goodness for word of mouth because I would have never found this place. And instead I've been here twice in one week! Expect a wait and hard to find parking. There are tons of signs for 1 hour parking and that it is enforced. Send someone to check in at the host stand and add your name to the list. Both times we've waited about 30 minutes. Granted we were going at peak dinner time of 5:30pm. The wait is made up by the uber fast service. I had ordered the Chicken Mole and the Chimichanga. I swear, they came out within 10 minutes. It was piping hot and exactly what we wanted. The dishes were above both of our standards and very reasonable. Neither of us left hungry. We also tried out their Taco Tuesday special. And boy! Wow! We did five tacos each and added on beans and rice. Plus we couldn't go without dessert this time. Our server was very kind and gave us extra salsa for the table. Each time was even better than the next.
Service as a little bit of a miss on my last visit. Food also didn't feel as fresh or tasty as prior visits. Feels like a more hip version of chevys. The mole which has historically been a crowd pleaser felt a little bland. Even though I like the salsa trio with chips; the salsas aren't spicy enough and feel watered down.

Haven't been here in a few years. Stopped by tonight for a margarita/chips&salsa/tacos and it all hit the spot. Quick meal at the bar and I would describe the ambiance is eclectic elegant. Service at the bar was great... friendly bar tender doing his thing! read more
Sometimes you don't need culinary fireworks. Sometimes you need a place that feels like someone is genuinely happy you walked through the door. Adelitas is that place. I grabbed a seat at the bar where the bartender was friendly and engaging. On a recent Wednesday at 7:15, the restaurant was packed. When I left around 8:30, it was still busy. That's usually the best review a restaurant can get. Loyal customers don't keep coming back out of habit. They come back because it feels like home. The all-day happy hour margarita for $9 certainly doesn't hurt. The second one arrives before you've had time to argue yourself out of it. I ordered the enchiladas with carne asada and their house mole. If you're expecting one of those intensely complex moles with enough ingredients to fill a pantry, this isn't that. Adelitas' version is comforting, approachable, and deeply homey. It tastes less like a culinary experiment and more like something your abuela has been making for decades. The carne asada was tender, the rice and beans were exactly what they should be, and every bite reminded me why comfort food never goes out of style. Before leaving, I made the smartest decision of the evening. Tres leches to go. I devoured it later at home while Netflix asked if I was still watching. The cake somehow manages to be light while completely satisfying. Don't skip it. Better yet, don't pretend you're saving it for tomorrow. Adelitas isn't trying to impress you. It's trying to feed you well, welcome you warmly, and send you home happier than when you arrived. Whether your abuela was Mexican...or Greek...you'll understand exactly what they're serving here. read more
Good meal but a lot of work and hassle! Very limited parking. Left side of the building are a few parking spots shared by several businesses. Good luck getting a spot. Then you are driving the neighborhood hoping to find a spot. Finally parked and walked to the restaurant. Host told me it would be 30 minutes but the actual wait was 50 minutes. Spend so much time parking and then waiting, at what point do you give up and leave empty handed? Restaurant is VERY LOUD. Finally got a table and ordered OFF MENU. Server agreed to substitute shrimp for my enchiladas and they were good! Fresh corn tortillas were the highlight. Ordered tres leches cake and enjoyed it too. Was a nice meal but just not worth all the hassle. read more

we stopped by here for dinner on a sunday. we got seated right away at the large communal table and the restaurant was pretty full. Our server was really attentive and stopped by a lot. I ordered the burrito and while it was tasty, I was a little confused that half the ingredients (pico, cheese, sour cream and lettuce) were on the outside of the burrito instead of inside. It made eating it a lot more difficult and less satisfying. The carne asada tacos were really delicious as well. The real star of the show however, was the pozole. SOOO delicious and authentic. We got the small size and it was very filling so keep that in mind. I would definitely be back and order that again and skip the burrito next time. read more
This place is consistent and that is the absolute best news for any restaurant. It is not only consistent; It's authentic! The food is amazing. It is THE BEST ! I love the vegetarian tamales and the steak enchiladas and on both of those, I choose them both to be smothered in Mole I'm hooked on the Mole! I know That Mole can be a hit or miss in restaurants, but I guarantee you're gonna have to ask for a side of it because it is a bomb. I I'm not sure, but you have to taste it. We stopped by for happy hour on a Friday and enjoyed some decent Mexican food! There is parking along the side of the building, FYI, in addition to street parking. I love ceviche and was pleasantly surprised to find shrimp ceviche on the happy hour specials. It is even a very generous portion! I got the Fish tacos and my husband got the half steak half chicken fajitas. The fish tacos were quite good, a little spicy, and very loaded, almost to a fault. The first taco was great however, by the time I got to the second and third taco, they were so soggy that they ripped when I picked them up. The fajitas were fairly standard with a good amount of onions an bell peppers on the hot plate and tender, seasoned meat atop. Adelitas is a good option for happy hour with decent food! read more

Went in for a quick bite and shared the Pollo con crema with my partner. The sauce was so creamy and delicious and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone! We were also very impressed by the chips and salsa. The chips were so so crispy and perfectly salted and the salsa was a great companion to the chips. A great Mexican food restaurant! We sat at the bar. Friendly atmosphere, great service. We had asada and enchiladas smothered in rich mole and tangy verde sauce. The shredded beef flautas were perfectly crispy yet juicy inside. And the tres leches cake, moist and dense at the same time, was absolutely delicious, with fresh strawberries adding the perfect finishing touch. read more

Food always comes out so fast. The taco Tuesday deal is so so hard to beat. Myself and 2 buddies went midday and the place was still packed. Server forgot 2 of our drinks and wasn't super attentive. Food and price made up for it. Love this place and the atmosphere read more

Places that have Taco Tuesdays have my heart. In 2025 $2 Tacos are worth the try. Easy to find location through google maps. Not far off the highway. Parking was a little tricky. The spaces are tight. But you can park across the street on Broadway. Service was attentive and on point.. Delicious queso, chorizo was not too spicy The carne asada delicious, perfect seared taste. The carnitas had a nice flavor but an unexpected kick of spice. The chicken wasn't dry as most places. Had its own little sauce not bad, but not my fave. To top off had a tres leches, home made. Home made, overall it was delicious. Would recommend, to stop by for a visit. Tuesday would be the day. read more

First time visiting this place after a recommendation. This was the first authentic experience I have had when visiting the area away from home. The service was outstanding and so was the food! We ordered the salsa flight, guac, mix and match tacos with asada, pollo and carnitas but the highlight was the asada sopes! Handmade sopes were refreshing and delicious! The asada was so flavorful and tender. This was def my favorite dish! I would love to come back to try the breakfast menu. Our server was Marlin who was fantastic. She was kind and helpful. The manager was welcoming and very helpful and kind. The atmosphere was fun with creative decor on the walls. We will definitely be back! read more

This has been on my to try list for a while and I finally decided today was the day. I went in and the guy at the front desk was nice. For it to be a Sunday afternoon. It was actually pretty slow in there. They also had their own parking lot, which was a super plus for me. I looked through the menu a couple times and decided on the breakfast tacos with chorizo added and no avocado. The gentleman said that my food will be out pretty quick although it did take them a minute to get it to me. I would not have been as hard on them with the rating if my food would've came out after a while, but it was fresh. You can tell they cooked it fresh, but it wasn't piping hot when I received it, which led me to believe my food was sitting there for a second or two before it got to me. All that aside the breakfast were insanely flavorful and delicious. I can see myself definitely recommending this spot to a lot of people just based off of the breakfast tacos that I tried. It had lots of flavor and then a tiny kiss of sweetness from the pico de gallo and the chipotle sauce just tied everything together. I love that they provided it on corn tortillas and they just tasted so fresh. Nine out of 10 recommend they just need to work on, if I'm having a longer wait time, my food needs to be fresh. read more
For starters, regardless of anything else, the service was SO FAST. Borderline fast food level speed, except the food quality was far above fast food. That alone would bring me back here if I were looking for something quick and good. Not exaggerating whatsoever, had to be 5 minutes between ordering tacos and receiving them. As far as the food goes, the meat itself was delicious. The beef tongue was very tender and tasty. I think the tacos were really good, especially given the price (under $15 for 3 mix & match). The chips and salsa were pretty average, but at $2 I can't complain. I think their happy hour prices aren't something to seek out, I got a $6 Pacifico draft, which I could probably find somewhere else outside of happy hour, and the house marg is $8 at happy hour. So if you're looking for cheap drinks, there's probably a better option. However, if you're looking for a nice place to sit down, get a reasonable price for a meal and a drink or two, and be in and out in a relatively short amount of time, this place is a fantastic option. In a specific mood I would absolutely come back. Intestinal Impact Index Rating: 3.5/5 - you can never fully trust a taco. Not the least trustworthy, but any time tacos are in play you have to stay on the safe side. read more

Absolutely loved the tacos and drinks here. Perfect spot for taco Tuesday. Highly recommend the carne asada tacos and al pastor tacos (loved the carne asada so much that I got 3 of them). Also definitely recommend the Coco Morado cocktail (tequila ocho blanco, coconut, guava, lavender) and the aloe margarita (Cimarron blanco, fresh lime, aloe liqueur). read more

I've been searching for some good Mexican food in Denver and I found my favorite spot! I came on a Sunday night and was seated immediately. It was pretty full with guests so was happy there was no wait! Most of the staff speaks Spanish which makes it nice for Spanish speaking guests. It seemed pretty authentic but when the food came that's when I really knew! We got the queso fundido with soyrizo for an appetizer and I can say that it's the best I've tried. It was so delicious and the portion is plentiful. We also got the three salsas with chips and all were tasty. What really got me was that Adeltias had breakfast served all day. I got chilaquiles with salsa verde. As yummy as they were, they had a kick of spicyness to it. I like spicy food but this had me sniffling haha. Just a heads up. We also got some cocktails that were awesome! I will be back to try some other dishes and cocktails! I massive recommended place from me! read more
