    Lomo Empanadas**

This restaurant exceeded my tastebud's expectations!! First time for pork belly guacamole and it was absolutely delicious! My coworker had tacos on blue tortillas and I had the empanadas. Service was great and the waitress was very knowledgeable when offering suggestions. It's large inside yet cozy! We sat outside and it was the perfect start to our trip.

My colleague and I attended a private work event at this restaurant and were rather impressed with the service and food. There was a build your own taco buffet, mocktails, and churros and sweet empanadas for dessert. The food and bar was in one private section and we were seated in another private room that was connected. The layout was very nice and spacious. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you're planning to host a private event, or simply stop by for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed!

Wow, what a great spot! My husband and I made a reservation here at the recommendation of a friend. We loved the walkability from the Buell Theater where we were seeing a show later that evening. The ambiance was boho, chic and very cool. We loved the flatware and glassware. Those little touches were so special. Picking up your margarita and really enjoying the glass is peak enjoyment. The food...the salsa flight was unique and tasty. I ended up picking the shrimp and crab enchiladas (they seemed so interesting), which were so delicious. The texture was amazing. We enjoyed every bite!

3.5 stars. Service was great. Parking is typical for Downtown. My friend and I made a reservation for a Tuesday evening right before seeing a show at one of the DCPA theaters. My favorite dish was probably the Bonito Guacamole. It was hard to tell from looking at the menu what was guacamole and what was salsa, based on the header. We shared the Quesabirria and got our own tacos. I ordered Carne Asada. I did like the Quesabirria but found the Asada to be tough and dry. That's unfortunate. We didn't have room for dessert, but the margaritas were decent. I'm curious about a few other things on their menu so might try again - especially for happy hour!

Love the decor and ambiance. Tall ceilings with a very pretty mosaic at the front extending along the side of the bar. Lots of seating inside and outside and they apparently have a rooftop also. We came there for Monday dinner and it was packed. No wonder! Good service and tasty food. Our server James was very attentive and friendly. He also suggested the pork belly with avocado and chips and it was delicious. The pork belly was in crispy small chunks and the avocado dip had a lime flavor. I ordered the chicken adobo fajitas and it was both filling and very tasty. My friend ordered the quesa berria which was also good but I liked my fajitas better. We also got cocktails and a side of mesquite corn. Prices weren't bad. Great place in Larimers Square!

Great food, ambiance, and service. I came here in a group of 5 and everybody loved their food and drinks. They don't allow a mix and match taco plate but we did that amongst our table (each ordering a separate and trading) and everyone enjoyed trying more taco types. I got their veggie fajitas which were great and I traded the flour tortillas for their blue corn ones to make it GF and it was delicious. Often fajitas are a 2 person meal but I wouldn't say that's true for theirs (at least for the veggie) more like 1 and a snack leftover meal. The interior is well decorated and has a really fun and upscale vibe.

The food here was so mid, but I was really looking forward to trying this spot. The customer service was exceptional. I was expecting bolder flavors, and while the food was not bland (besides the eggs) they could've developed the flavors and added more birria meat to the Migas norteñas. The chipotle bacon I'm not sure if I missed the crispy part of the name, but it could be crispy without being overcooked and burnt which it was.

This was $14, margarita! Minus an inch from top. Ridiculous!

Stopped by today for some drinks/ salsa. Service was super slow and margaritas were $14.00 a piece for a short overfilled glass with too much ice, little liquor, subpar at best. Definitely will not return!

My friend and I were walking around Larmier Square on a Saturday looking for a brunch spot and came across Tamayo. We walked in to find it pretty well occupied around noon, but still with some empty tables. We were seated right away. The decor was lovely. It was primarily natural, earthy tones, with succulents, and a big pop of color with bright murals above the bar, creating a warm glow. I was vaguely familiar with Chef Richard Sandoval due to his brief appearance on Top Chef, but didn't know too much about his cuisine. The brunch has a really fun and original idea in that you can order bottomless small plates for $42 per person or bottomless food and drinks for $59 in person, with a two-hour limit. I would have loved to try that, but we had a lot of plans that day so opted for the à la carte menu. I chose a mimosa and my friend chose a michelada. for our drinks We shared the ceviche. I ordered the chicken tinga enchiladas, while my friend ordered the fish tacos. We shared all of the food. The ceviche was excellent, flavorful and fresh. I enjoyed the enchiladas. The portion was generous. I wasn't too fond of the tacos. There was nothing wrong with them, aside from the fact that I don't like breaded fish, but they just didn't have a ton of flavor. I will say service started strong, but then fell off a bit. Our server and food runner were friendly, but it was hard to get extra utensils when we needed them. All in all, it was a great brunch spot. If I were in town again, I would definitely be tempted to try the bottomless brunch.

Stopped on for a work lunch today, but think I'd only go back if someone else is paying or it's happy hour. The food was fine, but nothing outstanding. Everything tasted like it should but I was expecting bigger, bolder flavors. The appetizers came out quickly and had these cute serving pigs, but their feet were "well used" and kept flopping over. The homemade flour tortillas were nice. I had Tampiqueña was a good tasting but $32 seemed steep priced. The queso and pork belly guacamole are worth getting but ask for some extra chips. The venue is probably the highlight as it's well decorated and feels trendy.

I was excited to dine here, and it did not disappoint! I love a restaurant that literally has so many yummy sounding options it's tough to choose...so you put it in the hands of your server (Stevie). My only request was light and flavorful. It was all so good! The Ancho Chile Margarita, Snapper Ceviche, Chile Relleno, and Empanadas de Plantano...all perfection!

Tamayo makes a very strong case for fajitas being the perfect dish. They arrive sizzling, announcing themselves before you even see them. Ribeye, peppers, onions, tortillas, sour cream, guacamole, salsa. Everything you need, nothing you don't. You build each bite exactly how you want it, which honestly feels like self care. Chef Richard Sandoval and his team do this exceptionally well. The ribeye was cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and the accompaniments were fresh and generous. This is fajita excellence. What really surprised me was their mocktail program. We skipped alcohol entirely and didn't feel like we were missing anything. The drinks were thoughtful, balanced, and actually interesting. I left full, happy, and felt great the next morning, which feels very on brand for my 2026 goals. Do yourself a favor and order the ribeye fajitas. Get dessert too. Growth is about balance.

    Monita B.

Absolutely loved my experience here! The decor is stunning--the perfect mix of chic and cozy, making it an ideal spot for a date night or a night out. The food was just as impressive, every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. To top it off, the cocktail menu is creative and the drinks were perfectly balanced. Exceptional service and a great vibe all around. I'll definitely be back! Shrimp and crab enchiladas was the best thing !!!!

Do they offer skinny margaritas (less sweet/sugar and not with full-sugar mix)?

Is the outdoor seating pet friendly?

Yes, they're pet friendly for outdoor patio seating in the summer.

    Any require reservations?

When I went about 2-3 weeks ago they were accepting walk ins. I went by last week and it wasn't full so I would assume walk ins are acceptable.

Do they have heat lamps for outdoor dining? Are dogs allowed for outdoor dining?

Hola! Yes, we have heaters on our rooftop patio, which is enclosed for the Winter months. Our front patio does not have heaters and is only used when weather is comfortable enough. Although we wish we could welcome furry friends, only certified…

We are going in for brunch with a group of 8. Do you know if its possible to order off the regular menu if others at the table are doing the endless brunch/bottomless drinks? Thanks!

Hi Christalle! Unfortunately bottomless brunch must be enjoyed by the entire table.

    Do you have Vegan options?

Yes we do! Please inform your server upon arrival and they will walk through all options with you.

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

I grabbed a seat at the bar where the bartender was friendly and engaging. On a recent Wednesday at 7:15, the restaurant was packed. When I left around 8:30, it was still busy. That's usually the best review a restaurant can get. Loyal customers don't keep coming back out of habit. They come back because it feels like home. The all-day happy hour margarita for $9 certainly doesn't hurt. The second one arrives before you've had time to argue yourself out of it. I ordered the enchiladas with carne asada and their house mole. If you're expecting one of those intensely complex moles with enough ingredients to fill a pantry, this isn't that. Adelitas' version is comforting, approachable, and deeply homey. It tastes less like a culinary experiment and more like something your abuela has been making for decades. The carne asada was tender, the rice and beans were exactly what they should be, and every bite reminded me why comfort food never goes out of style. Before leaving, I made the smartest decision of the evening. Tres leches to go. I devoured it later at home while Netflix asked if I was still watching. The cake somehow manages to be light while completely satisfying. Don't skip it. Better yet, don't pretend you're saving it for tomorrow. Adelitas isn't trying to impress you. It's trying to feed you well, welcome you warmly, and send you home happier than when you arrived. Whether your abuela was Mexican...or Greek...you'll understand exactly what they're serving here.

What we got tonight were: -Spicy Mango Ceviche ($17) -Bean and Cheese Burrito ($9) -Crispy Sweet Potato Tacos ($16) -Brown Sugar Caramel Flan ($9) for to-go If I go ahead and rank them from the best to the least good (LOL) here it is: 1. Crispy Sweet Potato Tacos - Simply exquisite. Vegetarian (possibly vegan) dish which you don't have to compromise your satisfaction or craving. Not only what's inside the tortilla but the tortilla itself was also amazing. It's a corn kind. We have never tasted anything like this before. 2. Spicy Mango Ceviche - Good portion for the price. The spiciness is noticeable but anybody can handle this level of heat. A visible amount of shrimp was evident in it. The mango pieces were diced a bit smaller than what I would want to see and taste but all in all, this is a solid dish as well. 3. Brown Sugar Caramel Flan - I took a bite of it later when we were home. Candidly stating, it wasn't as great as I hoped would be as it somewhat lacked that typical flan flavors. It also wasn't dense enough. It was passable with adequacy and acceptableness is the best way to describe it. 4. If you are vegetarian, then this definitely is one of the safest bets you can choose from the menu. If I am to order this again, however,I will ask for a little modification: add cilantro rice to it.
