Nothing special. Flavor wise, it's just mediocre when compared to other waffles around there. Often made by students or part timers. They have locations all over town & their hours're better than most waffle places rest - open early for breakfast. Only go here if you're on the run or up super early in the morning. read more

I wanted an authentic Belgian waffle experience. Somehow I ended up at a place called Los Churros, and last time I checked Spanish wasn't an official language in Belgium. Oh well, I did really love my waffle at least. It was a couple of euros to get cookie butter sauce on top of mine, but would have only been one euro if I had done powered sugar only. My husband got the white chocolate topping, and after trying both I can say they're both solid choices. They're sweet but not overly sweet, and the white chocolate specifically gave it a more complex flavor than I expected. The cookie butter was also great, since who can resist cookie butter? Obviously I can't. Not a bad choice for waffles. Don't be too turned off by the name, like I was. Though I do regret not trying their churros, I'll bet they are good as well. read more

I still dream of eating these waffles again...this was a 20 min walk from our stay (we were only here for a night) and my one main goal was a waffle! There's dozens of places but we ended up in this area and these waffles were to die for. They had dozens of different toppings but I went for the regular with powdered sugar and it was delicious. If you want the best street waffle look no further! This Belgian waffle spot is truly amazing. They had all the different options laid out and the choices ALL look delicious. The boy behind the counter was very nice and helpful! They make the waffle right in front of you and take no time at all. Very close to the grand palace so you can really experience Belgian culture. It's good to know that the smaller waffles on the left are sweeter and the waffles on the right are bigger but less sweet and crisper. read more

This place has decent waffles near the Grand Place. I don't think it stood out as one of the best places that we tried but it was decent. They offer you a deal if you buy a regular waffle. I think you get an icy that comes along. Not bad for a waffle/churros joint. Their location is also excellent. read more

The leige waffle was tasty, but not necessarily as hot as I would have liked. Though the white chocolate sauce was delicious, I think white chocolage + liege waffle is a bit of an overkill on the sweet side. I found myself in Grand Place with a hankerin' for some world-renowned Belgian Waffles, and Los Churros was nearby. I ordered a banana + chocolate + whipped cream waffle, as that is the best combination of flavors that mankind has ever invented. It was in my hands in a minute or two, with two combination fork/knives. Flattered that they (incorrectly) assumed I had a boo to share it with, I sat down and began digging in. The very first bite I took broke the fork in twain. Fully understanding why the second fork was included, I continued eating, but much more carefully this time. As expected it was very sweet, but the bananas tasted fresh and the whole ensemble worked well together. The waffle was a little less soft than I would have liked, but the whole package was reasonably priced for how good it was. And of course, you can't beat the view! read more

Do yourself a favor and please don't go here. You can get the exact same things across the street at Le Funambule, which I have been to and recommend. The problem? The service is extremely rude. Here's my tedious tale. I show up around 5 pm on a Saturday in August. There are two people working (cleaning) behind the counter. I am the only customer. They both appear to see me, but don't acknowledge me in any way. I wait for possibly 40 seconds. I'm starting to think the place is actually closed, though they haven't said that. Just when I'm about to walk away, the young woman acknowledges me and takes my order for the simplest thing possible -- a plain waffle. She gives it to me and takes my payment. That's all. It seems the transaction is complete. That would be fine, except that there's a large sign saying I'm supposed to get a free slushy. I don't particularly care whether I get the free slushy, but I check whether it's is still on offer. It is. (Was that ever going to have been mentioned, or would they have just let me walk away?) Now the young guy approaches. Again, I'm treated to 30 seconds of standing while I watch him clean up. Eventually he asks me what flavor of slushy I want. I tell him. More cleaning. More waiting. (Remember, I am the only customer waiting at the counter.) I ask about the slushy again, because at this point I'm starting to wonder whether I haven't understood what's going on. Now because I've asked the same thing twice, apparently that means I'm shouting. The guy tells me I'm shouting, which is certainly news to me. He says he's going to call the police. Apparently shouting is a criminal offense. Baffled and amused, I tell him to go right ahead and do that. But he doesn't seem to be interested in calling the police after all. Instead, he begins to demonstrate what actual shouting sounds like. In all fairness, I did ultimately manage to walk away with a plain waffle and a free slushy. With some free drama thrown in. Do yourself a favor, just don't go to this place. I live in Brussels. Yes, service like this is common. But there are decent people here too. You don't need to put up with this sort of nonsense. read more
